Wait, does Better Than New not affect repair speeds anymore?
I was about to build a big altruistic healing build + this to give my team big speed boosts to repairing, but apparently it doesn't do that anymore? Healing, totems and chests, but no gens? I know the duration was changed to "until they get hit", but I can't find any mention of them removing the gen speed, and yet it doesn't mention increasing repair speed in the perk description. I keep trying to look into it, but everything I find is either vague, outdated or from the PTB.
Simply put: no repair increase with Better Than New? :/

It does not afect gen speeds.

Yeah it's crappy, I thought it would still effect gen speeds but they worded the perk change so weirdly when they changed it

What I heard many killers complained it would be too powerful with gen speed boost but if that was case they could nerf it instead removing that part completely.

I actually like the way that they changed it. Balancing repair speed boosts is so problematic that I'm glad they scrapped that altogether, but I think the numbers need to be even bigger. They should at least match Leader, at a 25% boost.

To be fair the development notes that came out before the chapter was released showed it was nerfed.

Yeah, it's useless now. Totems and chests are way too situational, and healing is pointless specifically because if you're tacking this perk onto a healing build, you want to be the one healing people, not the people you're healing with Better Than New. It's also not a very big buff - combine that with unimportant actions and yeah, no thanks.
I was very interested in this perk before, but the lack of repair speed killed it dead. Maybe if they added something like gate speed or vault speed, I'd give it a second look.

yeah but to me they worded it badly, so i thought in additon to repair speed not instead of repair speed
