Why can't everyone play Pig

Seriously, the most fun matches are usually against Pig killers. You have the boring, predictable, always-ends-the-same-way matches versus Nurse, Spirit, Blight... Pig killers are precious. They tend to be very tunnelly and rarely give up on a chase, but they do it in a funny way. And because they're not nearly as powerful as the other killers mentioned, even if they do 3-4k it's usually after a very long, intense match full of chases, unhooks and hilarious events.

They also can get very lucky with the traps and randomly kill someone, or get very unlucky, which makes them upset and tunnel that person.

Everyone should play Pig all the time.

Haven’t seen a Pig in weeks. A month, even.

I wish I could verse more Demo's. I think Demo is the definition of a perfect Killer.

Pig needs some love tbh. She can be fun to verse but most of the time she is a little underwhelming.

Most of the pigs I have faced were hardcore tunneling me, because they haven't been able to finish up a chase with me even though I have made a plenty of mistakes along the way.

They're usually inexperienced fans of SAW, who then proceed to make the match unfun for one random player whom they decide to choose by tunneling them, even if it costs them the entire match. Body blocking and taking hits doesn't work aswell; They just run from side to side and eventually outrun those, who're attempting to body block and save the tunneled survivor. If the body blocking gets to be successful and ends up in a down, they're not gonna pick up the downed survivor; They just want that one specific player, no matter what.

So, I'd say that I'm kinda grateful for Amanda's absence.. Those matches weren't fun at all, but boring and too one-sided ever since the beginning of the match.

Because, for some reason, people DC against my Pig as often as against my Trickster, and more than my Hag.

I also get cussed out frequently for playing 'that irritating killer'.

This all sounds hilarious to me. I get it's not for others. But even when I'm the one tunnelled by a Pig it's always funny

Me neither. It' truly is heartbreaking. Everyone is sweating with Nurse, Spirit and the likes.

I don't mind being tunneled by Rin, a killer with whom I have found myself somewhat symphatizing after reading her lore.. But when it comes to other killers? Yes, I'm actually against it..

    Sumnox Member Posts: 605

They're ignorant. They can't appreciate the finesse and joy a Pig can bring to a match. When she manages to put a trap on your head and the timer is past half the limit she's usually gonna go out of her way to find you and tunnel you, ignoring everything and everyone else, even if that means she "lost". The Pig doesn't care about conventionally winning like the rest of the killers, she plays the game against individual survivors at a time.

I hate Trickster, and I do actually like Hags but all they do is hook someone and just camp the hell out of them until they die, and repeat, so that's really boring. A Pig chases you all over the map.

I enjoy playing Amanda. She's a pretty unique killer being able to put traps on survivors head and give them the choice to try and take it or do a gen when it's not active and when it is active they're not on any gens so you have a built in gen defense kinda. Her stealth is not the greatest but, it can still be pretty effective at points. Just make sure you don't try and boop me I won't except it you've "made your choice" at that point.

Is plague okay, since she is not on your list?

  • StarLost

I...sort of understand why Pig is irritating, because one that chases people off boxes can result in instant deaths due to simple bad luck, and certain combinations of addons are almost guaranteed headpops.

Plague is meh. But I tolerate more killers, not only Pig. For example I also like playing versus Huntresses.

  • Sumnox
    Sumnox Member Posts: 605

But you see, Pig players usually have a sense of humor, something you rarely find on Nurses, Blights and Spirits. They're sweaty tryhard on their way to remove you from the game ASAP. And they can easily do so. Bad combo

I feel like i run around the whole map trying to get that trap off unsuccessfully, does it always take 3 or 4 attempts, or am i just unlucky? one match I felt like i couldn't get the damn thing off at all; in the end i ran in for a unhook as no one else seemed to be close, and i died literally as i was about to finish the unhook action. Pig arrived with perfect timing 😀

    HAHAHAHA.

You see, always beautiful moments with a Pig.

Also notice how she wasn't too far from the hook either. Because the person hooked also had a trap on.

Oddly enough I do get extremely lucky with Pig traps. I usually take them off first or second try lol

this is what I hope for, getting pig in my games, for me to get pig as the killer when I play survivor is as rare As seeing another Jonathan Byers in the lobby that’s not myself.

  • Seraphor

Every Pig I've ever faced tunnels the first person with a trap to get unhooked.

It's crazy that a killer with such effective passive slowdown would decide to pressure the survivor who can't do the objective, but there it is.

    Every single time.

Interesting take! I used to have the same passion going against Pig as you did until Demogorgon came out! While I prefer going against Demogorgon now since he feels so much fun and balanced to play against, Pig is great fun!

Maybe because people like to play a killer who has control of their power. Pig traps are all RNG.

I don't like Pig. For some reason, they're all dashholes, and I get really stressed when I have her trap on xd

    That is truly tragic hahahah

If I was the person on the hook I think I might've laughed so hard I accidentally Alt+F4'd

If someone has their head pop, the pig definitely wants to be around to witness it--probably that person's shining moment playing Pig

I am envious that you have enjoyable Pig matches - I don't see Pig often but genuinely haven't had a single one that didn't afk camp a hook and tunnel vision someone with an RBT on their head to force a head pop. I think I see Pig maybe once a month but wouldn't mind a fun game with one who uses their dash more. When the Saw chapter launched I played against a lot of those. Just felt like after a year that dwindled away.

I mean I don't really look for a sense of humor in a player. If they have one then they do if they wanna go tryhard then go tryhard I enjoy some challenges as Survivor.

People don't like playing her because of how frustrating she is. Outside of the obvious aspects of her kit that are extremely weak or outdated, Pig has a very unique feeling of terrible when playing. As Pig you can pour all this time into learning her ambush to effectively dash around tiles, only to never get use out of it in a match or series of matches. No other killer has this problem. Trapper will usually get a cheeky trap or two if they know what they're doing, most of the roster is able to get reliable use out of their power or has tricks they can utilize to outplay opponents.

Pig doesn't. No matter how much you know about her dash, people understand that if you abandon the tile when she crouches, she is forced to uncrouch and then chase as a normal M1 killer.

Pig is a running gag in the community for a reason. The only people that needs to play her, is the dev team so hopefully they can give her the basekit changes she needs so the phrase "pig main" isn't instantly met with pity.

I find Pig kinda boring to play honestly. There’s nothing really wrong with her, she just doesn’t fit my playstyle. I don’t mind going against her as survivor though.

Not everyone could play the Pig because she is licensed killer in licensed DLC, which needs to be bought. Don't thank me for answer.

It is really surprising that someone would prefer vsing killers with no mobility/chase potential who can be looped for eternity by good survivors.

    Also /s.

My most frustrating matches ever were against Pig, it's the killer i dislike the most with legion and nurse. The RBT is always 3-4 tries for me (Im unlucky with this particular killer it seems) and she always follow me without chasing so she can kill me with the RBT (Moonwalk or looking down, like some Onryo are doing to play around Condemn). So yeah i hate the Pig, i'll take Blight over Pig any day, every day. At least the Blight is killing me, not the RBT.

Pig is my favourite killer to play as when I play killer. You have to play around many loops the good old fashioned way which I find the most fun. You get built in slow-down and she's small so can mind-game loops easier.

She's generally fun to play against too.

I haven't seen a Pig in weeks, sadly. And I used to main Pig but stopped playing her because of the MMR system, so I'm not playing her until she gets some buffs (which will probably be never).
