IM SICK OF DH
EVERY ######### GAME I PLAY 2 PEOPLE STILL RUN DH THE REWORK HAS NOT CHANGED THE PERK IN ANY WAY AND HAS TBH MADE IT BETTER IT IS ALMOST ALWAYS A FREE HEALTH STATE THAT CAN TURN A 1 MIN CHASE IN A 5 MIN CHASE ITS OBSERD THAT THIS IS ACCEPTED. PLEASE GIVE DH A REQUIREMENT TO TRIGGER LIKE MAKING IT BASED OFF GETTING A SAFE UNHOOK OR TAKING PROTECTION HITS.

Your joking right?

Ever since the nerf, you can wait it out on most Killers
9 -
I get use out of it maybe once every 4 presses, I feel like only cheaters and very lucky people are getting value every time they press it.

Bruh
9 -
Just bait it out. Is not old DH it can't be used for distance anymore.
4 -
Most people still struggle to time it out, as not only is it a very short time (0.5 second), some language have false information in the perk description (like saying it gives 1 sec. of endurance), and there is a delay after pressing the key, which makes having the 0.5 second unreliable at best.
If someone pulls off a DH, it's well deserved. It can also still be baited out, so the perk is really in a more than balanced state right now.
I am of course not talking about the people who use hacks to use if automatically, those exist unfortunately, but I hardly doubt they are very common.
2 -
It's literally perfect, nice bait though
4 -
not even sure how to respond to a post like this
5 -
Was wondering when a post like this was going to appear.
6 -
Bait it out.
8 -
I'm sorry to break it to you friend, but...
git gud
8 -
Dead Hard is super easy to counter now as its counter is actually baiting it
4 -
Imagine unironically complaining about Dead hard
7 -
Whenever someone gets me with it i just say, “good play” i dont get mad at that perk anymore
9 -
Yeah but i dont find it hard to play around when you find out they have it. The perk id healthier now. It actually requires skill
4 -
You can’t be serious…
3 -
Wow, really? Yeah, a survivor will surprise me with it every once in a while, but once you know the Meg has it... that's it, man. If they get you twice, that's completely your fault. It sounds like you need to learn to be patient and remember/play around remembered survivor perks. Once DH is known, it's super easy to bait and is not nearly as powerful as it was before.
Also, please don't use all caps, it's super hard to read.
Same. Always makes me go "nice." It actually requires good reading on the part of the survivor.
If someone manages to get me more than once, I'm really impressed, where pre-nerf I'd be frustrated as hell.
3 -
Damn with the caps lol, I don't run dead hard but seen players always run it and it normally doesn't work for them.

Whenever someone gets me with it I get caught off guard, like i’m not even mad I’m genuinely surprised they had it
4 -
Pre nerf i would say “of course. 0 skill” stuff like that. The perk was terribly designed. Now when it happens to me its whatever. But thats only the first time. When i know they have it its over. I have seen players use it to take hits while im carrying a survivor. Very smart use tbh
1 -
I'm not sick of the perk. I'm just disappointed that nothing has changed. Disappointed that
Survivor meta: Still second chances.
Killer meta: Still slowdown/regression
3 -
Me too. Sometimes i forget that perk exists lmao
1 -
Well running no gen regression usually leads to the killer getting destroyed. And as for second chance perks
Thats what running no second chance perks leads too
1 -
The meta is always going to be stopping the other side from doing their job unless they basically delete those perks.
2 -
Buddy, Dead Hard is easily baited out, can't be used for distance, and feeds you STBFL stacks. It is infinitely more tolerable than old DH.

Speaking as somebody who actively wanted every single Dead Hard user and apologist to burn on the stake before it's rework, the rework nerfed the perk pretty hard, and it's actually pretty balanced now, rewarding the survivor for good timing instead of just pressing the E key
if you can't wait half a second, then quite frankly, that's entirely on you
0 -
Sorry but this sound more like you're entitled to a kill.
0 -
To give you a piece of my mind.
Killer: That's why I miss Ruin 1.0, because any value you got out of it was enough slowdown for the killer to get momentum.
Gens now are a issue because survivor's don't have enough obj prior to gens, but that's a core game issues and not a gen issue
Survivor: I never really liked using second chance perks, because if you play your cards right it's practically a get out of jail free card and I'm no fan of that.
I hate that no matter what BHVR does, camping and tunneling will always be a thing with or without second chance perks
0 -
It's frustrating when ppl trigger it but it is skill based. The timing is very fiddly and it's very easy for the survivor to mistime the press. If you hit soon as possible then they'll trigger it. If you hold of one second you bait it out

I see people use it at pallets a lot, which I like. They'll basically try to force the killer to commit to either lunging and risking the DH, or try to wait it out and risk having the pallet dropped on them. Killer doesn't swing, the survivor needs to make the read and put down the pallet before the quicker normal m1 comes out or end up getting downed (or worse, getting downed and dropping the pallet as well.) It creates a mindgame while still giving the killer a full risk/reward read to make, which was a big part of what made the perk strong before (granted, it was never necessarily with dead harding for distance)
The perk had a skill floor adjustment, but its ceiling feels relatively untouched. In some ways the speed bonus and blade wipe is more valuable than what it lost, just a lot harder to maximize on. You obviously need to be very good at midchase routing and judging distances, as well as being able to both force reads and commit to them yourself.

I hated DH as much as anyone, but it's fine now. They stripped it of its cheapness, and now you actually need at least a shred of skill to get value from it.
Just wait it out, and they're still right there to be hit.

As long as it's in the game, Wesker can't be viable.
0 -
Just bate it out? What?
0 -
Holy ######### what did I do I just wrote this because I had 3 matches in a row where survivors used dh in unbeatable situations
0 -
agreed. I had a match today where i used it, got the exhaustion from it and at that exact same moment, wesker was able to pick me up with his ability, You have to be really accurate at your guess on when the killer switngs
0 -
To all those people saying "JuSt BaiT iT OuT" do you not see how ass backwards that philosophy is the killer should be able to chase the survivor without having to wait for them to do smth I shouldn't have to lose on a jungle gym just because some one has a perk 100% out of my control
0 -
No.
Bait it out.
2 -
Old Dead Hard it was "Just wait it out."
Now it's "Just bait it out."
In both cases there are many spots where the killer can't wait or can't bait.
Dead Hard is still the strongest exhaustion perk for extending chases. If it's usage rate stays high I wouldn't be surprised if BHVR hits it with another nerf. They don't care about balancing perks by their actual strength in game, only their usage.

DH just get close and move your camera they will DH and then go down.
1 -
Honestly, I wouldn't even notice if survivors are using DH or not when I play killer. I just kill all of them no matter what now. It's so easy that I kill them all even if I wasn't planning on it.
0 -
Taken the words straight out my mouth
0 -
I like how these are things people can say now. How far we’ve come.
3 -
I don't mind the new DH. Old DH was a cancerous growth consuming this game slowly. The amount of bs dead hards to safe pallets when I had survivors mindgamed made me want to quit the game.
0 -
0.5 sec DH with no invulnerability is baited easily and tbh with latency playing a large role, i don't rely on it now.
It only works consistently on new killers, veterans may get baited ONCE per match if any and that's it.
Lithe/SB and even BL are way better options now.
DH will let you down way more times than not.
