What do you mean by losing?
What do you mean by abuse it?
17 -
Using it is abusing it? It's called using a perk the game provided for you. There are ways to get around it if you know a survivor is using it...
11 -
You can't abuse something that is a legitimate part of the game.
10 -
im confuse, what.
8 -
Perhaps unrelated, but I play with a guy who legitimately gets upset and starts yelling when killers realize all they need to do is bleed them out.
Im really curious why he expects to be picked up when he makes picking himself up impossible. Being perma slugged ain't a win condition unless you just love eating dirt I guess
1 -
It's not even like Boil Over is that strong unless on Midwich maybe.
I might have to start using it more if it genuinely has an effect on killers. Thanks for the info !
1 -
Ok leave em slugged and then become the bad guy, okay
1 -
Oh but a survivor is a bad guy for using a perk? You either deal with it or lose the game.
5 -
*visible confusion*
4 -
These forums make me grow grey hairs.
11 -
Idk you tell me
0 -
Yes ma'am
0 -
Using a perk is not abusing.
Survivors are only losing if they are dead. Otherwise they are still in the game.
1 -
Stay off it then lol
0 -
Well seriously, I'm not trying to be rude. Just leave them slugged after that, be the bad guy, you're the killer after all. Slugging's apart of the game too, utilize it.
3 -
Go ahead lemme know how being slugged is😁! I heard a lot of surv hate being slugged
0 -
Ohhhh ok, Ill just bleed them out for 4 minutes next time and hope I dont get hate for it lol
1 -
If you get hate for it, who cares. Don't look at endgame chat because that's what you'll expect.
5 -
Omg do you need glasses? I recommend Help See Through Confusion Eye Wear, its a great place to get some.

Ok I'll cut my sarcasm/smart mouth for a bit here. I get what you're saying, I understand now that its a viable perk, I understand I must be bad guy.
1 -
Look at your pfp.....She abuses going through obstacles and ignoring loops lol.
0 -
It's viable but not overpowered, and don't worry about what they say, survivors will get angry for killers figuring out how to counter their perks sometimes but you gotta ignore it, the words are just pixels after all.
1 -
Nope. Nurse's blinks are, again, a legitimate part of her kit.
3 -
Are we really still complaining about Boil Over when it's basically the same as it was pre-buff?
1 -
Its called a joke bud, jeez
0 -
Welllll when you get tired of not being able to hook, and the surv not doing an objective then yea I think its at the very least fair to complain bucko
0 -
Need more surv like you in this community👍🏽

I can hook Boil Over users just fine, sounds like a you issue idk.

So, hopefully this doesn't lead to any kind of bans or anything...
But one day I'm playing SoloQ. I get chased by Nemesis and I'm looping him pretty good. We are on the corn map with the house and I run up to the second floor during the chase and come across the other survivors just hanging out up there. They sand bag me and I get downed. Killer puts me into basement and there is 2 dudes left. One dies, and so there I am hanging in basement with the other survivor just hanging out upstairs. Decide to go for the unhook and KOBE! I get off. Run back up into the house and just wait foe killer. I'm not even gonna bother, he wants to hang me so be it. But he can't get this survivor, they keep boiling over off his shoulder and running back upstairs. So he is doing this over and over and over when I realize, wait a minute. They sandbagged me! So now I start trying to help the nemesis get this survivor on a hook. I'm body blocking and it becomes me and nemesis trying to get this dude onto a hook. He ended up having to leave the house and we ran this dude around the whole map. Everytime he went down, he would get off with Boil Over. No idea how he was doing it, but he did it so much that he actually ended up bleeding out from spending so much time dying between hook attempts. Nemesis let me out.

Im still waiting for clarification.
What exactly are you considering in the terms of abusing it and losing.
Give me an example here

You easily abuse of boil over in the Haddenfield maps, in the main with the basement. You just have a hook on the 1st.floor sometimes. If someone sabots it each time, or if the hook is missing, you can abuse it with boil over.
We got the same thing in the old Thompson's Farm in the main building, before his rework: no hook on the 1st.floor, we got just a long & narrow stairway, 2-3 windows and a hole in the floor... If someone was downed in the passageway upstairs, it could be very tough for the killer to bring him to the basement below or to the nearest hook...
But the devs has removed this trick for Thompson's Farm. But we can still have this thing on RPD (East or West Wing I don't remember...) with the library room: big & long upstairs with 2 very long passageways in height with just 1 window and a broken parapet on the other side... and 1 single hook in the corner below.
We usually can found a dull totem in a corner. If a survivor blesses it and makes it as a Boon:Dark Theory or/and Boon:Exponential, I swear you @kingcarl2012 if you are starting a chase against a 4 man SWF here, you will understand what the 'abusing' word means.
You will have no choice to slug to the death these survivors because it is an absolutely awful trick to do that ! They have seen that during a stream and it is easily to reproduce it. No originality required....
Now, we have a hole on the ground and I don't know if this trick is fixed with these RPD remakes...

It's hard to abuse a perk that does almost nothing every time you run it. It's been my feel good perk alongside Spine Chill back when I started the game a few years ago, but besides that giga buff they gave it (and then took away), it never did much. Still doesn't.

Boil Over & Flip-Flop (or Unbreakable or No Mither,...) are some good & common combos to abuse :p
But it is still easy to learn & to do to be efficient on some maps. And some Maps Offerings can help you to do that... These survivors usually use it to practice their builds...

using a perk isn’t abusing it just hook better lol
1 -
Ok here you go...
Dead Dawg, 2 surv dead, 1 hiding, the other going into the dead end room with BO....thats them losing and trying to prolong the game instead of just simply moving on.
When a surv has max BO and the only hook around is on the bottom floor and I simply cannot get him to the hook because the slightest I even fall off the steps he gets off.
I will admit, I used "abused" poorly in my case.
0 -
"Hook better" Haha I bet you felt so proud saying that huh?
0 -
naw bro just walk to the hook more efficiently I guess you get told they have the perk and it’s not even a good perk
0 -
Mf what? Plz ellaborate that sentence, cause Im lretty sure the killers job is to hook and kill and please the entity riiiiiight?
0 -
If a survivor gets off my shoulder, I usually slug them anytime they get downed after. I assume I'm giving them what they want: they don't want to be hooked, so I don't hook them. I'm a nice killer like that.
0 -
Omg Im sorry is there an option to turn off the random motion I get from a surv that wiggles? Is there an option to just teleport the surv to the hook?......no? Ok then bud
0 -
Well thats pretty simple one person is buying the other person time to do gens, thats not losing. Also im pretty sure those rooms have breakable walls so you can shorten your trip to the hook and still get them if you do it right.
1 -
Do you not understand what hiding means?.....not doing any objectives and waiting for god knows what.
As for breaking the wall.......lemme see, if I say DEAD END room I mean no outs bud.
0 -
Well what were you doing trying to hook the survivor with boil over or patrolling gens to find the other person, if your trying to hook how do you know what the other person was doing?
0 -
Ok heres some more clarification.....Im playing Artist who can literally patrol multiple gens with the click of a damn button
0 -
So your not picking up right away and the other person is dodging your birds
0 -
how is using a perk abusing it?
1 -
I just admitted under someone else that I used the word abused incorrectly....thank you have a nice day
0 -
U didnt prove a thing and your nitpicking how MY match went and trying to tell me what I was and was not doing. Make that make sense bucko
0 -
Its ok to admit that the problem was choices you made and not the perk.
0 -
I don't understand how you would... abuse it. Boil Over's effect happens when you wiggle. When you get picked up, you begin wiggling, that's normal behavior for a survivor. Either you are using the perk, or you are not using it. There are no gradients to it.
Are you asking "Why do you wiggle at all when you have this perk?" Is that what you are asking? Because that seems like the only real choice at hand here.
