Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Spectating should have an option to turn on/off spectators

Just had another game where solo queue survivors used spectate to betray me. I was solo queue, and I noticed that there were two people were queued in my Solo queue game, and one was dead, and the other was alive, and their friend was obv telling her where I was. She worked with killer to run to me at my gen and then killer killed me and let her escape for "helping find me"

She knew exactly where I was in the big map too.. and had no perk like Bond or anything. It was obv discord SWF.

I would like to turn that crap off so nobody can spectate me.

Since only like 5% of games involve a 4 man SWF, if no one played solo, there would be no DBD. Even 2-3 man SWFs need randoms.

Not everyone has people just waiting around to join up with them when they want to play.

But yeah, if you could block people from spectating, cheaters would get away with it even more than they already do.

Then turn the ######### SWF feature off or let me "Opt out" and only play with Solo queue players. Idc how long the queue is

I am tired of these SWF trolls, it just happened to me AGAIN. Now I am noticing how many games have SWF mixed in with solo q

Oh, I have a story about spectate!

So it was down to me and one other survivor (a Jeff). It was Solo Q, but the Jeff was in a 2-man with a Yun-Jin who wasn't that great and did the least.

Jeff was doing a good job running the Killer and I got the last gen completed. But the Jeff went down. The Killer was Huntress and she 100% had BBQ. Wasn't sure if I was close enough to be out of BBQ range, I hop in a locker just before Jeff is hooked, and I go to 99 the exit gate so I have a chance to get Jeff out if I manage a safe rescue.

That's when I started getting Direct messages (on PS4 they pop up as you play on your screen top left) from the dead Yun-Jin, who is spectating, shrieking at me like a blathering harpy: "YOU COWARD! *Curse word. More curse words* SAVE JEFF NOW. You bjwbfkjdbwbfkjwbjk!!!".

....I'm like, 'what the ever living hell'? But it was distracting. So all I have time to type is "STFU you idiot." (lmao lol).

Her, contnuing: "HIDING In LOCKERS LIKE A ***expletive. EFFIN' *expletive"

So I ignore this absolute child, carefully make my way over to Jeff. I manage to grab him (WITH BT I might add b/c at that time the 5 sec BT was crap), he gets am endurance hit- we're running for the gate- I take a protection hit for for him and we both escape.

.... then this Jeff messages me and goes; "GG, thanks for the save". I told him his little fangirl was screeching obscenities at me the entire time, and maybe tell her that she should learn how to play the game before insulting other players. Maybe watch some streamers- or anything. And I don't care that she wasn't very good, that's Solo Q MMR- I just cared that she sucked but went postal at a stranger who was making the best play they could given the situation. Maybe that's why the Jeff and I ended up with over 25k Bloodpoints each and she got 7k.

He goes: "Yeah sorry about that she's just a bit passionate about people saving me ..."

Oh. Teenage love. How adorable. /s

On the Spectate topic though- I wouldn't want it disabled despite this pleasant experience, because when i first started playing, I learned so much from spectating others. Sometimes I'm really cheering for someone to get out, and like seeing if they make it.

It just sucks that a few people abuse it, but I don't think it's that common.
