Survivors dcing/suiciding/afking/giving up is the equivalent of killers tunneling/camping
Change my mind. Both are unfair, both are annoying/frustrating.

Ehhh, one is someone trying to win and doing so in a way that's obnoxious, one is just letting you win by ######### over everyone else. It's like saying kicking someone in the crotch to win a fight is the same as the person actively handing you a weapon to beat up someone else.

I wouldn't say they're the same, even in the sense of frustration. Gameplay-wise, tunnelling/camping has the killers attention, leaving the other survivors to try and do an objective if the targeted survivor can keep them busy at least. A DC/AFK/suiciding player has screwed you, since the killers attention will likely be on one of the remaining 3 survivors.

They are not equivalent for one simply reason, generally speaking one is born of hopelessness and despair, and one is born of efficiency to win.

No, it's not comparable:
A surv dcing can be done for various reasons, often enough plain frustration at the lack of chance because the killer decided to tunnel/camp/slug (at 5 gens no less) because... the killer wants to feel as if they have any skill, when they don't.
Killer's camping/tunneling/slugging is barely done out of frustration. against a toxic swf? go ahead, go hogwild with it. But if your get go is 'lets camp/tunnel/slug' to get a quick 4k, then all the dcs are on you.
Genuine skill in DbD reflects in how much of a fair and square game you can deliver. That the SBMM counts hookkills is just behaviour making the game frustration sided as usual

I’m so ######### tired of ragequitters. I hope the bot drop in system comes soon. Watch those bots play better than those self entitled jerks. They could get stuck on a tree, and they’d STILL be more useful than these babies.

Technically the SBMM works when they allow it to. Unfortunately the higher skill range killers, would be waiting for 2 hours to get a match if they didn't loosen the restraints right now.

I remember a time, where killers played like this: constantly being afk or not participating at all. Survivors were not happy.
So i´m not sure if you really want that behavior back.

The difference is killers can come back from any situation.
Survivors cannot and the objective is too difficult to finish leading to most matches being hopeless.
