Why do I continue to get infected in chase?
Had two Weskers in a row tunnel me out of the game after chasing me to the point I got fully infected and slowed down each time.
why is this allowed?

I’m not sure why you think not being Hindered would suddenly make you unable to be tunneled out almost as well still. Even without it, he just has to wait out a 10s Endurance and then can kill you anyways.

The power is designed to make you slower in chases, it would be pretty weird if it didn't advance during a chase.
My question is why Wesker/Nemesis get a killer instinct notification to let them go and give it right back to you whenever you remove the infection.

My issues isn’t the 10 seconds, it’s running him for like 30 seconds+ then suddenly hindered indefinitely to no fault of my own.

Being grabbed is +20/100. Two slams/throws into an object would down you anyways so that’s irrelevant. Passive infection rate is 0.8/s. That would take literally 100s from initial infection to max unless they grabbed and threw you into empty space multiple times. If you’re being tunneled off and don’t have a chance to use the spray, it also wouldn’t matter cause even without the Hindered, it’s not difficult to tunnel.

Against Plague you are one-shot to no fault of your own.
That's how their powers works. And technically it was your fault. Don't let him hit you with ability. At least for the first health. You have to make him m1 you or regret he committed to use m2 only while you're still healthy. That's the key.

While it is definitely problematic, Wesker is built with becoming infected midchase in mind. Personally, I think after becoming unhooked your infection timer should be paused for 20 seconds and if you get into a chase, this timer is paused as well.

Do you mean paused if immediately chased in the 20s after the unhook, or in general even in non-tunneling? Because I don’t think the latter should apply. If people ignored their Infection and didn’t cleanse it, that’s on them.

To clarify In both instances today I only got grabbed once and neither time the hit actually connected on screen.

It can be rough, but it's fair. I think the only passive ability that doesn't work like this is pigs and that's because hers will outright kill you.

Why shouldn’t infection continue mid-chase?

Maybe if they added a hugely buffed video confrence and removed at least 1 supply crate. This would make it about as threatening as condemned.

I think genuinely there should be a window, possibly not twenty seconds, after being unhooked where your infection doesn't charge. If a chase starts during that window, it is paused. If a chase doesn't start within that window, infection begins again.

I think that would be fine.

yeah doesn't have to be very long so your infection starts growing fast again, but just to stop INSTANT tunneling. After that window, its between you and God at that point, should've sprayed.

"then suddenly hindered indefinitely to no fault of my own" that's... literally how killer applied negative status effects work.

It all boils down to, once again, to Weskers playing like a...Tunneling and camping Weskers have been a flavor of this new chapter since launch. Happens less often now but you know...what else is new?

The only thing it should change is that you are no longer infected on hook.
