Why wouldn't killers camp, it was made so easy for them
Just run two or three gen slowing perks and that's it, three or four easy kills, no need for skills at all. Is so stupid.

I mean I could say the same thing about how easy survivors have it on maps like mothers dwelling, disturbed ward, rpd, haddonfield etc. Even coal tower with ridiculous setups where you don't need a brain to run them.

it's a pvp game and camping is still overall detrimental to the killer in an evenly matched game

Not the same thing, killers with actuall skills still do very well in any map, while there is nothing survivors can do witj a fave camper that needs 0 skills and just stands there waiting for his reward for doing nothing

Ok so place clown, trapper or sadako on mothers dwelling... gl getting a 2k at most because that map is just so giant that even sadakos mobility doesn't help much.

The amount of skill you need to successfully camp someone and win the game off of it is WAY lower than the amount of skill needed to counter it.
Why put in a lot of effort when you can put in none and get the same result?

Seriously doubt that. If the survivors know how to play, 4 outting vs a clown on mothers dwelling is still extremely easy.

If the survivors know how to play, that the key, just like if the killer knows how to play, that's the whole point, having skills should reward you, but camping and needed no skills at all should not give you such a big reward

You don't understand this game then. This game isn't just skill, its also RNG and actually how strong a killer is. Clown is NOWHERE near the strength of nurse of blight. Blight cant travel from one edge of the map to the other in 5 tokens. Nurse is just nurse ending chases in 15-20 seconds. Then there's clown.... 15% hinder but he has to catch up to you first or else you can just easily dodge the bottle to avoid the hinder.
To make it easier to understand, blight just gets pressure easily for using his power well because its double speed and a health state. Meanwhile clown has to slowly walk across the map giving survivors 2x the amount on gens. You see where this is going? Clown gets little to no pressure while blight gets tons.

Genuinely if someone is camping someone to death from the start of the game, getting all but maybe one gen done is childs play. There is no reward if the survivors don't walk up on the killer. I'm saying this as a killer that very rarely will camp the last 10 to 20 seconds to second stage or death hook. You or your team is playing inefficient if you don't like that I don't know what to tell you. People always talking about camping but while it is unfun it's easily beatable, while on the other hand tunneling someone out of the game fast vs a team that is not prepared for it is a win. Though that takes a killer that is capable of doing so and not many are capable of that, depending on the map.

This statement is like saying "Why wouldn't survivors pre throw it's so easy, 3 to 4 man out easy". While you are talking about a extremely boring gameplay style is a detriment to the killer and that remains true even after the 6.1.0.

Here is some food for thoughts: if all you needed to do for a 3k, possible 4k, was to camp one single survivor while running two or three gen slowing perks .... wouldn't you have an even easier time gettin a 3k by hunting survivors down? With one surv hanging, if you even got one other occupied with running away from you, your gen slow downs and additional hook states on a second survivor should make mince meat out of any opposition you are facing.
So maybe it ain't that easy? Or maybe you guys just missplayed big time; happens all the time and even to the best of us ^^

Yes, survivors actually got a lot of tools to counter it. And why did survivors get those tools, especially the basekit one, you might ask?
Camping has always been a problem, is a problem and will probably be a problem in the future. The developers can only do so much to prevent it. Basekit BT is a good start.

No it's not my "argument" I just showed you that I can say stupid things also since your argument around slowdown perks and easy game was nonsense. So yeah we can do this all day. How hard is fixing gens? It must be really hard lol. The only way to make this even easier is to remove the killer from the match so you can play gen fixing simulator :))

Also if Killers had other means to apply pressure then they wouldn't camp
Plus there are over 200 perks in the game and other players like to say what are the best perks to use... players even ask for it
But what about basekit (no Items or Addons)-
Survivors repair at 1.0 charges per second (solo)- While regression is .25 charges per second
Killers just need to press a button to injure Survivors- While it take 16 charges to heal
Totems take 16 charges to cleanse- Killer can't do anything to Totems
Move speed for Survivor is 4.0 meters per second- While Killers are varied from 3.8 to 4.6 meters per second

Did you forget killers can force survivors off gens, but survivors can't force killers off hooks?

Give killers rewards for leaving the area (besides the endgame, because there is nothing the killer should go elsewhere] and u stop camping.
So maybe a little aura-reading or a little Speedboost for 3secs after the "joy" of a hook or something.
Oh and dont "balance" everything around: "sounds nice, but Nurse". Nurse was broken, Nurse is broken and Nurse will always be broken, because she doesnt care about every rule in the game.

sure, that's the dynamic of the game. Killers chase survivors, not survivors chase killers. Killer's job is to find, chase successfully and kill survivors, survivor job is holding M1 at stationary gens and open the exit gate and get out. Killer is trying to prevent the survivors to succesfully finish their job, and survivors do the same.

I don't think what you said is true. I'll debunk your statement easily. Let's take a group of 4 survivors and 1 killer. The survivors and killer are both new to the game.
The killer after much searching finally finds a stealthy survivor, because he's new it takes a couple minutes. But because the survivors are new, none of the generators have had any amount of progress applied either. The new killer not wanting to let his survivor on a hook escape face camps the hook. The survivors either rush the hook and get grabbed off of hook or simply stand by the sidelines waiting for the killer to leave.
The survivor dies on hook , the killer repeats this process until he secures a 4k.
The killer and survivors in this example are of equal skill. But it is the killer who is at an advantage regardless of skill. It is only when survivors understand to pressure generators and how to have a successful first chase that camping begins to reduce in strength. After all camping cannot work if there is not a survivor on hook. Or if the objective can be completed even without that survivor. But then let's not pretend that camping is a bad tactic, because in competitive play camping is one of the best tactics to win, especially if the down is secured early into the match.

consider this: i wasn't judging camping based off 'new players' and was judging camping based off an equal skill leveled match where players are adequate at the game at least and are familiar with it's systems and how it works. i don't expect new players to be good at anything because they're learning how the game works, and i don't think judging how the game plays based purely off of the new player experience and how they would see/understand the game from their very limited scope means anything at all.
the only time that would ever matter is if you were trying to make the game more intuitive for new players to understand, it does not matter when a new player is just making a bad play that they'd recongize as a bad play if they simply played the game more and understood the systems involved

this isn't a resounding fact, i think this is a classic case of you decreeing a killer defending a hook he knows survivors are around and actively trying to rescue to be in the same boat as facecamp bubba 5gens wasting his time staring at someone while the rest of the gens are flying. a competitive swf is not stopped by facecamping if they're genuinely trying to end the game and win, they will slam gens and killer gets one kill at best unless someone seriously messes up later.
if a killer is stopping you from unhooking your teammate because he knows you are trying to unhook them and knows you aren't actively trying to make gen progress and expedite your victory, the killer defending that hook instead of looking for the nonexistent survivors working on gens is just... playing dbd
if you consider killer not giving you free unhooks camping then you shouldn't have an opinion when it comes to these dbd buzzwords

Camping is boring and ensures you will get - at most - 2 survivors (assuming the survivors are doing the gens instead of throwing themselves at the hook).
Camping is the path of least resistance (or the only option once the gates are powered up).
This game would be a million times more fun for both sides if chases had zero chance to be winnable by survivors over a relatively short period of time. Nobody would camp if they were sure they could actually go out and get another down. The fact that you can go chasing and fail to even hit somebody for 5+ minutes is the reason people camp. It's accepting that you're going to be outplayed and you'd rather get one kill than try to play the game normally and get clowned on.
If Gens went faster and chases were shorter, games would be over, one way or the other, much sooner. But they'd be way more fun for both sides. But since survivors keep getting ways to lengthen chases, from speed boosts to instant heals to second chances to endurance to way too many pallets to six dozen other things, it's far too easy for competent survivors to massively outclass killers.
Remember: a killer has a theoretical maximum of 12 hooks. How many of your games have gone to 12 hooks? How many EVER?
