Why is DBD so boring?
The thing is i noticed this at like 100 hours in, the game looked aswesome from afar, but as you get into you just get bored, now im 940 hours and it still feels that way, this game isnt like league or csgo to where you can play for thousands of hours and find enjoyment tbh

If you spend 940 hours in a game and think it's boring you are most likely lying to yourself

It's completely up to you if its boring or not.
5 Years in, despite immense amount bad moments I'm still loving the game.
I think about it when im not playing it. Things like I keep a notepad open while playing random games to throw perk ideas in, even get up in the middle of my sleep to jot a quick idea down. I've never posted any of it, partially because I dunno if they will make the devs not be able to use the ideas because "legal reasons" but mainly because I do it for my own enjoyment.
Idk what it is, but so many aspects of dbd is appealing enough to keep me happy.

Because it is not Old DbD anymore. Old DbD was fun and good game. DbD should back to 2019, the best year of DbD.

I have 5k hours. I used to play every single day for multiple hours and never got bored but ever since 6.1.0 I found myself playing less and less cause I am really not enjoying the game much anymore.

Its the same for me, as Survivor I play only Solo and while there is maybe 1 or 2 decent games usually is disgusting and Killer feels so easy now I dont really have much fun either, I feel like Im being spoonfed like a little baby.

You invested 840 hours in a game you thought was boring, bit weird don't you think ?
It may be the frustration you get at some games, which is part of DbD. You might wanna be more specific on how it's "boring", this may help you address it more accurately.

This is the best DBD has ever been. We are like 1 or 2 patches away from almost perfect balance. In an asymmetrical game!
The killer updates were great. Now add the icons to solo q they talked about and let's see how things settle.

Why are you doing something, no matter what it is, for 1000 hours if it's boring for you? Especially if it's not your obligation like some job you dislike but do it anyway. I never understood this. A GAME is boring for someone, but they are over 900 hours playing it

What about it is boring? It's not an issue if you do find it boring (people are different after all), because it is how you find it, but your post didn't appear to give any reason for why you found it boring. It's difficult to know what you found dull when you haven't mentioned what it was.

Yeah, exactly the same for me. Playing soloq is just torture. Just got left to die by 2 teammates when they were both healthy and I was hooked next to an open gate and the killer (Nurse) didn't even had NOED. Just gonna stop playing this ######### game.

What it could be boring ?
- Face off the same killer's strats for the win (tunnel, camp,...)
- Play with the same 'toxic' b*llsh*t*ers in the end chat game (bc you didn't played as they've expected you will play) even if report them is useless (since 2016 btw)
- To have no fun chases, no interesting gameplay 19 out of 20 trials...
- To notice the same behaviour from survivors as from killers as well. Nobody seems to be genuine...
- All the B.S. hits & collisions not fixed after all these patches
- To found again these 'unfixed' collisions bugs & more recently these connection issues whereas the dedicated servers
- To discover some changes not mentioned in the patchnotes (skillchecks for example)
- No need to mention, this game seems unbalanced for different reasons that you can found in the forums
- Stats used to make some adjustements are often so far away from the reality, you can feel tired to see everyone is playing like cloned bots free out from a factory...
I could continue the list but it is boring because you could find many boring things ingame but you can still close your eyes, to lie to yourself pretending the game is always fun whereas it is a game & you play it again all the days.

i can see that, unfortunately the devs don't do exciting events or gameplay changes or different game modes to keep things interesting just new skins every 3 months.
i actually enjoy midchapters more than new chapters cuz at least those sometimes have some interesting stuff like perk changes, killer/map reworks, balance changes, bug fixes...etc

Frustrating and make you not want to play at times? HELL YEAH

Because it's still the pretty much the same 4v1 game it always has been.
Fun game changing events are few and far between and lamer than ever before. We used to have events like the Scorching Summer BBQ, Hallowed Grounds and Moonrise that gave us cool unique generators and (even animated!) hooks and not every hook/gen was an event hook/gen like they are now because Scourge Hooks are in the game now. Moonrise even gave us another element, the lunar vessel, which added a fun and different element to the game.
Recently we got to smash pumpkins and have snowmen but these events need to happen more often.
The anniversary events give us cool stuff to earn but other than adding pedestals to the game they don't add any really cool and fun elements to the game to make the gameplay more interesting. It's just "Here, have some cake, cosmetics and some fancy anniversary-themed trimmings."
The game is just so stale.

I think the game could be much more fun. It's not boring but would be fun to have other limited game modes imagine 2 killers vs 8 survivors.

because both sides are running one single build, there is no room to try anything else, and it seems everyone is fine with this so whatever i guess
