Missing skillchecks on generators could be more punishing
Currently missing skillchecks on generators only serve to alert the killer and cause regressions in the generator, however this is not very punitive when the killer is in chase with another surv,
besides that for survs, sometimes missing skillchecks is indifferent when the killer uses perks like "call of brine", "discordance", "Surveillance", and some add ons reveal a surv in generator even without missing skillchecks leaving the miss skillcheck even more useless
Of course, there are occasions when a skillcheck error can make a difference, but on very situational occasions, I kind of compare it to the "Bleeding state" before the buff, it was useful, but it was insignificant and needed to be improved, now it's much more significant
I haven't come up with any ideas of what could happen, but could they increase the loss of generator progress and leave the surv that missed the skillcheck disabled for a time limit? I wanted to know from you if you have an interesting idea for this:
Just an extra:
Perks like "Technician" and "Corrective Action" could become more useful in these situations, in the case of the "Technician" perk I find it more harmful than useful, because if you miss a skillcheck, you lose more progress than if you don't used it, and the killer is busy with another surv, so this punishment should be removed in my opinion for the perk to work as it should be
good people, that was it, see you later

Absolutely not. The game has an imbalance towards killers at lower skill levels as it is and they are the players most likely to miss skill checks. The whole 'mark the generator yellow' deal needs to be changed for each perk to have a different colour assigned to it, or the colour based on which slot it is in your build.
Technician and Corrective absolutely could be buffed but not like this. Technician should reduce the 'missing' penalty not increase it further in addition to not exploding. Corrective should also increase the benefit from good skill checks (from both you and anyone else on the generator) but in general generator speed should be capped to a certain level so that stacking perks isn't busted and people can choose which gen speed perk they want to use that fits their playstyle as well as perk freedom to add more gen speed perks without worrying about gen speeds being too quick.

I had already thought about beginners, so I mentioned the technical perk, and the Corrective action perk, just use these perks,
I didn't post this topic to hear people disagree with the idea, but to give ideas, so with all due respect, I didn't need to comment

Dear god no. Its already killer biased enough at low MMR and I dont want my solo potatoes ruining my game any more.

If you posted to get ideas, you have to accept the fact that SOME of those ideas might be in opposition to yours.
Pretty much you're saying you want an echo chamber of people who only agree with you..... yea okay

No. There are already plenty of punishments:
- You lose progress
- You cannot make progress momentarily
- You alert the killer, map wide
- You trigger certain killer perks
- You trigger your teammates
- You feel a deep sense of shame and inadequacy that only gets worse the more you play the game even though most of the skill checks I've been missing lately are due to sudden lag spikes and freezes but I know that my teammates know that it's really because I'm an embarrassment and a hindrance to my team I'm sorry dad please come home

Not when simply taking your hand off the gen for whatever reason (maybe to avoid a pain res, maybe to heal a teammate, maybe to go make a save, etc) already has such a high chance of causing an explosion that you just have to accept.

People are sometimes going to disagree with you, constructive criticism is a thing and sometimes something is simply a bad idea. You can't expect everyone to agree with your idea. Personally i don't like the sound of this because failing a skill check is already pretty punishing, especially in lower mmr matches where survivors are already struggling to get gens done.
A missed skill check on a gen locks any progress for a couple seconds, plus the noise plus the progress loss. I've had it before where a missed skillcheck by another player has whiffed my brand new part i was installing costing us considerable potential progress. I don't think it needs to be harsher than that.
And we certainly don't need anything that'll make low mmr solo q worse because it's already atrocious for survivors as it is.

No thanks, I already get punished enough by random potatoes blowing up my gens.

That is the dubious idea at best. It will just increase the gap between casual players and pro-streamers. Former ones will be even more miserable, latter ones won't even notice.

There are enough punishment already so no. Overcharge is already too powerful agains't console players and beginners because we miss skill check more easily and not everyone has pc running 144fps.

The crucial question is: why?
Everyone agrees that solo q is currently the weakest part of DbD. Solo q is also played by beginners who have difficulty hitting skill checks. So WHY would anyone come up with the idea of making it harder for beginners to play and indirectly buffing pros who already got their own perk through hyperfocus? That would also be an indirect nerf for solo q and an indirect buff for SWF.

This would only hurt newbies, who really don't need their game experience made worse. People with thousands of hours very very rarely miss skill checks.
2 -
That just screws with newer players playing survivor, and they don't have an easy time to begin with. Assuming you mean skillchecks in general, something more experienced players probably only miss like 1% of the time or something assuming performance hiccups don't mess with them.

Did you really just make a post that proposes that we make the game harder for players at low MMR? Have you been around since the update? The game is already in a terrible spot for new players and you want to make it worse. I swear killer mains will always complain about something no matter how much this game is already sided for them.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I just wanted to know your opinion, in fact I don't care so much that this idea was added to the game, and I agree with those who say that it could harm newbies taking into account that the game gave considerable buffs to killers, I just wanted to give you an idea, I have no intention of harming any players here
About Feng min's "technical" perk, I think they need to review the punishment for missing skillcheck, in practice this perk is useless in the current META, as killers have resources that can easily find a survivor in generator even if they don't miss skillchecks

It's not that I want people to agree with me, after all, I'm not the voice of the truth, but I see that people like to reject ideas more than approve them, when someone has a good idea, no one comments on anything, but to reject ideas lots of them appear, people should have a less hostile mindset, if the idea is bad, they can comment, but if the idea is good, I would like you to comment too
you have to admit that my idea is not bad, in old META it could work, just like I admit that in the current META where killers are thriving and many newbies coming to the game my idea can get in the way, but I commented on it to get the opinion yours

Except this idea is bad in any meta because the way skills checks work already is fine.
No feedback needs to be given because nothing needs to change and it's fine the way it is

this is your opinion but not mine

Skill Checks need to change in difficulty based on your personal MMR.
If you're new, skill checks should be easier.
If you're an old pro, skill checks should be WAY WAAAAAAY harder.
At the moment, half of the survivor gameplay both has no interaction with the opposing side, AND never gets any harder.
If every survivor had a very real chance of missing skill checks, generators would slow down organically, rather than just increasing the default time (which then gets completely negated by stacking gen rush perks)

Why does it need to be more punishing? The killer is alerted someone is on a gen, you lose 10% progression, and you can't add progress for the next 3 seconds. Not to mention letting go of a gen as you get a skill check is an auto fail.
If the killer is busy and can't come to the gen you just blew up, that's not a real issue that needs to be solved.

I think the punishment is fine. You lose out on like 2% regression then after that you cant gain progress on that gen for 2 seconds.

Ok.......?
What idea? That Survivors need to be punished even more? Your idea is not only bad, you spit on new players.
I don't think you read the recent Stats. Survivors survival % has dropped significantly and the Devs idea to create a meta shift backfired since DH and Self-care are still in the top 5.
The only things changes did were increase killer queue times and lowered survivor survival rate to appease bad killers complaining on the forum.
Why do people like you insist on changes, get visually upset when someone doesn't like your idea.. won't take criticism, and have no desire to balance anything around multiple roles? You literally just want people to agree with your bad ideas. I simply cannot, and a lot of people are voicing that.
But Why, you may ask? Simple: suggesting changes to something that affects newer players, and in the same breath telling them to run a perk that requires you to grind or buy Licensed DLC for a perk that has never been on the Shrine(go look at that 'balanced' list). You are putting people out of their skill set too early just because you find part of the game trivial. Are skillchecks hard? Absolutely not. Because I've been playing for thousands of hours. I can hit OC skillchecks while half asleep drinking coffee.
If all the perks were more readily available, i would humor this idea. Until then, absolutely not. The perks are designed to hold together certain play styles. If you don't like them, don't use them. If the game is too easy for you, run no perks and no items or addons. Make your own fun, please don't suggest the ruination of other.

This would probably just lead to easier trolling by people intentionally failing skillchecks on gens
