Should the VHS Tape "item" take up the survivors item spot?
VHS tape currently does not take up the item alot but instead allows survivors to also carry a medkit/toolbox/map/key/whatever
I feel like it would be beneficial for the onryo
if you want to pick up a tape to lower ur condemnation you would have to drop the item and potentially cross the map and back if you want that item again
Only negative is that Franklin's would effect it (you want survivors to have tapes)
And for the Iri addon just make it so survivors who bring an item drop it at there feet when they spawn in.

Survivors can’t hold two items at once? Like solo isnt bad enough that we have complain about survivors holding the vhs tape and a medkit at the same time.

I would say no- survivors currently need more incentive to go mess with tapes, not less. I guarantee fewer would bother doing anything about tapes until the very very last second if they couldn't hold their items at the same time.
It's the same reason that I think turning off a TV should be the longer cooldown for Onryo's teleport; messing with TVs gives survivors Condemned, which means they're a little bit more at risk and the Onryo player doesn't have to break their back with predictive teleports (and awful cooldowns) just to get anyone started on that timer.

I see the tapes more in line with Pig RBTs which do not count as an item either. Plus I'm pretty sure if the devs implemented that her addon to cause everyone to start with a tape would just delete items survivors bring into the trial and I'm sure that's a nightmare solution to figure out.

Absolutely not. In fact I think the other cure type items should also go into the left hand. Why, because solo survivors are often so stupid they think you sat your item on the ground to give it to them. Bastard thieves.
Survivors have two hands. There is absolutely no reason to change this.

I only want her directional lullaby removed while demanifested. I don't mind the rest of her less than spectacular kit

BHVR changed Franklins from deleting items because of the interaction with Nemesis's vaccines.I don't trust them to code the addon + item interaction at all.

Something to point out is that Onryo is the only one of the killers who have a custom item where, to get rid of the item, you have to run across the entire map.
The vaccines/infection remover can be used directly next to the chest. Pinhead's box can be solved where you pick it up. You have to drop your item, but you don't then have to leave your item behind and run across the entire map.
And survivors don't even pick up the tape anyway. There's really little to no reason to pick up the tape because teleporting to a TV gives a directional sound and then Onryo has to eat an almost 2 minute cooldown on the TV.

If you can't interact with the item directly then it usually can be carried together with a standard item (medkit, toolbox, etc)

Lol thats the add-on i play with her. The best part about that add-on is that the tv is at the furthest location. I also play with the green addon that shows The Onryo the tv's that are turned off by any means!

I was going to say yes... but the more I think about it the less I like it
There could be a possibility But that would take a total re-work (re-coding) of the game (and that happens a lot)
She has other problems but not that
