Why am I forced to play with console for the extra bp?
i dont want to increase my chances of playing with someone on a 360

You're not forced to do anything,it's more like an agreement of sorts. You do so 'n so and end up getting something in return. Otherwise just play on your platform and equip BP perks (if there's any left anyway,ik distressing does)

I played cross play off until the BBQ nerf and BP rewards were implemented. So I’d say they got what they wanted in combining the killer-loving-PC players and survivor-loving-console players. Knowing which area is in deficit also helped me get much quicker matches. Subtle but effective change.

then why even have the option to turn cross play off? makes no sense. pretty sure getting rid of it entirely would've solved the problem, simple.

I guess it depends on what region you're in. I'm on PC in the U.S. and survivor is currently offering 100% bonus BP to anyone who plays, I never see killer offered any bonus BP which is weird.

There's a lot of PC Master Race elitism. Truth is, most of them are just as bad as any console player, but players from other platforms make convenient scapegoats.
Especially as a survivor; there's effectively no difference (I have a PS and Steam account, so I've experienced both).
In fact, if you're a PC surv, you should want crossplay on, since the only players really disadvantaged by playing on console are killers.

Not to mention that, if not for the little "not on your platform" globe, you'd never even know who was console and who wasn't, and even that isn't a 100% indicator

To play devil’s advocate, I cannot chat with console players. I like to let people know what build I have or what offering I’m bringing.
Also, it is generally accepted that the PC version is the best performance-wise. Remember, you can be paired with Switch players who are absolutely at a disadvantage.

More like just isolate epic games to their own servers. That would fix most issues.
