Wondering how do the matchmaking incentives work
For about 1 month or a bit more, it has been permanently at +100% BP for survivors, i dont find that bad since i play both sides (am more killer biased ofc), but it has been like that for a long long time, since then i started playing survivor just to check some things.
Average queue times for me (very large sample size) are as follows:
Survivor Queue: 10 to 20 seconds average, 40 seconds was the worse i had (for a month and several games a day)
Killer Queue: 5 to 10 minutes average, 50 minutes was the worse i had (also from several games a day)
so i dont get it, wouldnt this mean matchmaking incentives should be the other way around? am i missing something? queue times are vaaastly faster (normally i am into a survivor game in less than 3 minutes walking around).
i could provide some video clips as evidence but im pretty sure thats alike in every region since i asked some friends and twitter mutuals.

The bonus/incentive is to encourage more people to play that role. Queues are faster for survivors because more people are playing killer, and the game needs 4 survivors for every 1 killer.

Discrepancy between queue times are so big tho, even for a 4v1 difference, when they said the incentives were bugged to always be on surv i still tought they were, till last week, then i saw the post that it had been fixed

You'll hardly see the incentive for killer because survivors is the worst side to play. Very disadvantaged with the killer being overpowered making playing as survivor extremely unfair and unbalanced.

You pretty much explained it yourself, there are a ton more killers so getting 4 survivors for a game will take longer while survivors can just queue in because there are a ton of killers waiting for a game.

i really find survivor being the most fun to play, you have no worries at all, only bad thing is how the BP system works atm, wich isnt very rewarding even with the BP incentives (wich is why i made this post at all), feels like playing survivor gives you no progression at all, even if you escape most of the times you cant even do 2 webs past level 30, if the BP earnings weren't so bad id play alot more survivor than killer (specially for those low low queue times and mostly fun games), such a shame this gambling system aka the bloodweb exists instead of a straight up way to grab you some things or even discard ones you dont want (im level 40 with haddie already and didnt get a single one of her own perks to level 2 :/ )
