Why not? 2 Metaperks Basekit for survivors, 0 for killers. Balanced, right?
Next will be 3sec DS Basekit, regular DS will grant extra seconds for the stun.

Been saying this for awhile. Base kit Corrupt Intervention would be a great "band aid" fix for start of game gen rushing.

You can just pickup them?
Unbreakable was strong because Killers didn't expect it and survivors could make a use to self pick up.

You know what a pallet-stun/safe is, right? In a lot of Situations, you cant "just pick up".

You cannot just pick them up in certain situations though. Survivor under a pallet? Survivor in the open with a flashlight user nearby? Boil over user in a high place? Using Plague, Oni, or Myers? All of those situations prevent you from picking up a survivor without losing a great deal of momentum.

Lerhal would be much healthier as a basekit perk than Corrupt. Corrupt isnt fun for anybody.
That being said, I dont think killers need a corrupt.

It was basically 2 stacks of STBFL or a 1/4 of the perks potential and tier1 BS. Survivors got 10 second bt a little over half the perk on all 4 Survivors and unlimited UB in situations that survivors can force. Now depending on how UB works it could be way broken if it let's you just recover 100% faster then it's whatever and probably a bad perk but if it let's you actually pick yourself up in 22.5 unlimited amount of times could be really problematic.

I agree, Which is why we're all going to test it and try break it on the PTB so its somewhat balanced. Whether its once per trial at 22 seconds or its changed to like 30s or something.
Either way, the change is going to be a breath of fresh air. Fair play, I took a break from the game for 2 months before the update because it was stale.
Escaping 80% of my games got tedious. 2 gens popping in the first chase was way too strong. I'm glad they buffed killer into making it more challenging, though now the pendulum has swung quite far into the other side. I rarely play killer, if I do its bubba or spooky myers. I play 0 slowdown and I'm not really that good at it and im still winning a majority of my games by attrition.

Thats pretty funny I also took about a 2 month break and came back because the patch because I had a similar experience.
I play a huge variety of killers and on the lower end of killers if I don't have slowdown its a good game if I get 3 hooks. Now playing strong killers you can play without slowdown or if you get a decent map but with gen spread and base regression still been crap pressuring gens with 0 defense its pointless and your better off just trying to build pressure with downs.

These sort of changes as well as bridging the gap between solo and swf gives them the opportunity to be able to buff low tier killers into viability. Its a good thing at the end of the day. I want variety and solid chases, not to sit on the floor for 4 minutes while someone slugs out the 4k.
Just as survivors adapted to the current meta, I wholeheartedly believe good killers will do the same thing.

Not because survivors think those perks are especially good. Camping is so rampant that they had to make it basekit. But sure go on Jon Snow

Stay at pallet to down purposely is certainly exploitable with this change. But its still only if the disturbing survivor can stay annoying for 45sec, if they success, they earn it.
I dont like this change either. But Un basekit complaining is over react for me.

But it is 22 seconds with unbreakable, and repeatable. Even the worst survivor holding W should be able to distract a killer for that long, there is nothing to "earn". Before this you had only had to worry about this happening once but with it being repeatable there is literally no way for a killer to counter this unless they are someone like nurse who can end chases extremely fast, and the last thing BHVR should do is encourage people to play nurse.

You are kidding right? Killers got serious buffs in the 6.1.0 update. Kill rate is at 61%, and queue times are much longer for killer on average than survivor queue times. It's fine for survivors to get something now as well.
Not to mention that picking yourself up after 45 seconds is clearly worse than Unbreakeable.
I wish they would have done more about camping, tunneling, and the lack of information that solo survivors have, instead of the changes we are getting. And I hope they still will sometime in he future. DS basekit would be so, so awesome honestly.
But acting like now survivors are getting so much and killers not is ridiculous, considering the last 6.1.0 update. Yes, killers got 0 perks into basekit, and survivors now 2, though again, it's more like 1,5 perks, but killers got so many other buffs in the 6.1.0 update.

What exactly? Gen-Times 10sec longer? Yeah, awesome, 4 weeks later we saw Hyperfocus and u can finish a gen in 40 seconds. Look at Otz Video.
Pallet-Breaking 10% faster? Unbelievable, it matters nothing, because the next safe loop is nearby thanks to awesome maps.
Gen-2,5%-Regression? Oh yeah, for that we had to sacrifice EVERY Gen-Regression-Perk besides Pain Resonance (for.now!). Overcharge is laughable, Ruin is completely annihilated.
What else did Killers get? Oh yea Stun Duration and less SpeedBurst after first hit.
Who cares? The next junglegym is 5m away, you benefit nothing out of this.
You want to.know why the killrates are a bit higher? Because Deadharding for Distance to reach the next loop is gone, if u mess up. So the 3rd chance-perk if u wanna call it so.
Thats all, Deadharding for Distance is the main reason why killrates are higher.
61% is absolutely fine, it should be 60-65%. Now you will say: wait, 50% is balanced, right?
No its not, because you have to see that in noob-games everytime you will see a 100%-killrate, so 53% was literally underpowered.
On top of it: who cares about general-killrates? The game should be balanced around "how many hooks can a killer reach for X Gens done", not how many kills.
On top you need to understand that these stats are from the whole killer-roster, but what are the numbers on every killer on its own? Nurse on average will have 80%+, while others will be happy if they can manage a 2K with a necessary camp or tunnel.

Did you forget how people abused hook distances with the boilover buff
Swfs will abuse this with sabo builds and flashlights on maps that have huge dead zones in them

Because it hurts my feelings when the gens get done too quick, just like how survivors' feelings get hurt when they don't have free Endurance and Haste off the hook.

You play zero slowdown, but I doubt it's against good survivors if you're beating them. Even Nurse and Blight need slowdown. The pendulum has not swung far enough into "the other side." You admit you rarely play killer, and when you do it's "Bubba" and "Spooky" Myers, and you're apparently not even that good, and you're still winning a majority of the time. Why would you think that your experience is anywhere near comparable to killers who play to win, and who face survivors who also play to win? It's not exactly normal to speak on matters of balance when you're in your infancy of playing one role or the other, although let's not kid ourselves, it happens in this community all the time. Maybe you should keep playing killer, no slowdown, no strategy, meme'ing as you do, and see how far that takes you. You haven't seen anything yet.

Unfortunately getting an additional perk slot is only works for survivors. Killers are too op according to devs and survivors.

The short answer: no, this won't be happening.
The longer answer: a while ago there was talk on adding an additional mechanic for the start of the game, but after discussions with the design team and a few prototypes, there wasn't any direct improvements to the game; in fact, it made it worse a lot of the time. However, some of these ideas were recycled into other prototypes and may yet see the light of day in future updates.

Tbf, BT was never 'meta' in the sense that it gave survivors an overwhelming competitive advantage; survivors ran it because face-camping and tunneling people off-hook was so rampant (and still is to a certain degree). Surely we can all agree that being downed straight off a hook and being put straight back on the said hook was never fun or productive gameplay?

They are making these basekit changes because they want to lower kill rates closer to 50%. Just because the other side gets something doesn't always mean your entitled to something too.

Two of those situations are countered with my trapper build, iron grasp, agi, lightborn, and mad grit, so I guess I have nothing to worry about, lol

Not needed on majority of killers. Plus if you down or grab someone it ends so the 2 mins aren't a guarantee. Corrupt is more to prevent certain killers from getting screwed by spawns.
If you fix Maps then the spawns won't be as bad for killer and Corrupt loses value cause you fixed the root of the issue. Personally only use Corrupt when i'm not using Discordance or BBQ. I use Corrupt to define an area where i want to play but if i have BBQ and Discordance then i can make that a full map play area depending on the killer i'm playing. For example if i'm playing Ghostface then Corrupt, if i'm playing Spirit or Sadako then Discordance, in some cases i'll use Discordance and BBQ because Discordance can get you nowhere if survivors realise you have it after 1 or 2 chases where you went where multiple were. So with BBQ in the mix i can give them a mixed info and on a killer like SAdako or Spirit who can go about quickly and catch people off guard it's very valuable cause you can catch multiple people off guard multiple times per match.
If you're on Trapper or Hag then sure Corrupt becomes very valuable cause you're gonna need time to set up. If you're Nurse, you're just on overkill which can lead survivors to just hide in bushes and make you go TP here and there and every freaking where.
Also LETHAL PURSUER EXISTS.
