I think DBD is done for, and that every single player will now quit preemptively before the mori update, and not come back.

As before, the bad killers who could not adapt will leave and the good killers who could adapt will remain.
And survivors who lose to those adapted killers will ask for a nerf. This will be repeated.

Well multiple meta perks basekit is a first, iirc.
And the irony is that they only do it with ub to counteract their horrible solution for basekit Mori. They would just need to change the requirement from "last standing survivor" to "last survivor alive" and there wouldn't even be a problem with mass slugging for it.

Kill rate is above 60% now and yet somehow killer mains are still acting like they are victims.
Kill rate could be at 100% and they would still find some way to complain about how hard the game is.
Makes me take none of the stuff they say seriously anymore, doesn't matter if it's a balanced change or not, if it benefits survivors they will whine and cry no matter what.

I think the killrate should be 75%, it would fit the horror theme of the game and be good for balance.

My post was supposed to be a funny take on the forum's reactions to stuff not even in the game yet, nor tested.
What I see the devs doing is attacking something specific, in ways not anticipated and maybe even preventative in nature. As you say, "a first" for them.
They seem to be going after some of the "unfun" aspects of gameplay, like options to try to discourage the killer from taking away a hook stage for instance. That's very useful against the quite good survs, but fustrating against all other survs when the killer guards a hook or intercepts a would-be savior.
So the base Unbreakable and perk change imo isn't only aimed at accommodating changes to the Mori's, but also mass early slugging & leaving the third surv down to hunt down the fourth surv and circumvent the hatch, things like that.

Survivor mains are no different. The plethora of “nerf X killer” threads is proof of that.
Heck, this new slugging change is the result of survivors whining about slugging for the 4k. Base Kit BT is the result of the constant complaining about camping and tunneling.
Its not enough that the game always leaned towards competent survivors, now it’s hand holding potato survivors that refused to adapt and improve.
Don’t get me started on all the comments that disparage killers for playing efficiently while never reflecting on their own game play.
Makes me take none of the stuff they say seriously anymore. If I’d doesn’t benefit them, hold their hand and make it harder for the killer, they will cry and whine no matter what.

A couple of things:
1_ the "nerf x killer" threads will always exist, since everyone has a certain disdain or hate for some killer they dont want to play against. Said that, is not that every surv thread is heard or taken into consideration. I mean, people have been asking nerf for nurse, blight for years and they are still strong.
2_ the new slug change is not for the slugging for the 4k, is for the interaction with the new mori system which ends the match instantly is surv are on hook or floor.
3_ how can you say that this game hold the hand of potato survivors?
Have you not read the 61% kill rate stat the other day?
Have you not read the amount of threads saying that soloQ is horrible?
Survs literally have a permanent 100% bp boost because there are less and less people playing.

The same thing happens for killers.
They said reassurance was going to break the game and it got nerfed.
They said off the record was going to break the game and it got nerfed.
Overstack endurance got nerfed.
Dead hard was nerfed 3 times before it hit live servers.

example as me, i for real never do breaks for dbd like in that moment, i play dbd nearly 4 years and dbd has up and downs but what now happening is not correctly, its more depression playing as fun i never know a time for dbd its was so unfun like in that moment, bad matchmaking, swf is to easy is boring and if you play Killer you match against many swf groups they bc nobody want to play solo (but if you do that with your 5k+ hours, you will match with 100,200, 500 and and hours bots)
and then it feels even worse when your favorite game is in such a bad state and the devs don't even communicate it and nothing seems to be done in the next patch, really you stand there and are just very disappointed and think "ok then I'll play just like everyone else a different game, why get upset ? I'll copy the people and go too !"

It's not that simple with this change they are now forcing killers to play in a way which could be a lose/lose no matter what, some killers depend a fair bit on slugging.
One thing no one is really bringing up is with BT in basekit and now UB survivors are pretty much running 6 perks now, how is that meant to be fair when they won't put any killers perks in the basekit.

the issiue aint the mori. The issiue is unbreakable basekit infinitly. And im only ready to adapt to a certain point, if this game wants only top tier skilled killers im happy to be no part of it. I play for fun, i dont want to sweat and before you put me in a certain category, i never camp, i dont tunnel on purpose and i only go for 4k sluggs when i have a certain challenge, im fine with loosing the abillity to 4k slugg while i get its cheap. But im not fine to being prey for bully squads just because i dont want to invest hours and hours in the game to finally have a chance. I want to have fun while playing, not to play while trying to get to have fun.
Dead hard was a diffrent thing aswell, it was hated towards all over the place and both sides didnt like the way it was, actually there is no sides either. I play both killer and soloQ and so do many people. So if the types of killers that just play for fun and dont want to sweat too hard, who play soloQ sometimes too should be scared away this is the way to do. This and not dealing with hackers. As you said its on the PTB but the general direction of the update is just more sweat for both sides, you make slugging harder tunneling and camping will increase.
So yeah, if this game is meant to be a sweatfest tournament rather than a fun party game i guess ive wasted my money.

- Doesn’t matter, it’s still survivors whining about killers and not wanting to get good and adapt. Plenty of killer threads get ignored as well.
- The nerfs to Moris were already enough. The new mori change isn’t to the benefit of killers, it’s to the benefit of survivors. It’s so they don’t have to wait 4 minutes off the ground, while making a 4k more difficult for the killer, just so the last survivor can have an easy hatch escape.
- The games maps are still designed to where a potato can still waste enough time just by running from pallet to pallet, pre-dropping them as needed and then using an exhaustion perk to extend the time wasted even further. I can attest to this because I’m terrible at looping, but with Lithe equipped, I can waste enough time to were two gens pop if I’m not being chased by Nurse or Blight. Also, don’t forget about all the suiciding survivors or the ones who just ran up to the killer to kill them because they weren’t happy with the patch. Plenty of survivor mains advocated for others to do so on here.
My whole point was that Survivors are no better than Killers when it comes to complaining. Both sides complain. The one thing I’ve noticed though is, if you ask for video evidence to show us how “op” something is, they disappear.

But what i and many others fear is that they forget what good survivors or swf specifically will be able to do with the means they give them.
See the once again much mentioned boil over they released. In itself something good to give people more of a chance to avoid permanent consequences (losing a hook state, chances of getting hard camped etc). But the people that know how to use it to it's full efficiency straight up weaponized it and stuck with it until the devs had to intervene.
And I don't say it's survivor exclusive but a phenomenon of people hiding behind anonymous alias leaving all manners of being civil behind them if they get the chance. (I hope i get my thoughts across as non native speaker and not being sure to have used the right words)

1_ Seriouly, and no offense intended but where can we drew the line between "this is legitimately broken and needs to be adressed" and "get good and adapt", because everyone uses the git gud card whenever they suit them, killers with base bt and unbreakble, survs with 6.1.0.
2_ The new mori mechanic ends the match instantly if every survivor is down or hooked, regardles of hook state or perks they have. This could be abused by slugging killers and for that the basekit ub was adressed.
3_ 2 gens popping on the first chase is not as common as you think, as least not for me playing in soloQ. I cant speak for 4man swf though. Even so, if map were so outrageous and unbalanced, why the 61%kill rate? Or less and less survs playing?
Both sides complain, the only thing is that most recent survs buff are usually getting nerfed on ptb because of mass hysteria.

These over the top SWF's and OP SWF's, are a minority compared to the Solo Q hell right now. Many killers dont even know they are facing an SWF, they just think its that way cause they got stomped.
And i'm pretty sure, most of the time it isnt or its not high MMR.
The MMR system ist bad on both sides and some people reach higher MMR than they should. (Both sides)

This update is to reign in on the slugging at 5 Gen (word I can't type) that has been on the increase lately
But it also turns into a weapon that Survivors can use once they figure out zones with no hook and Sabo squads

well im not going to take anything infinite unbreakable at all. I dont want to have sweaty games all the time when i play killer, it was fine how it is now and then they gonna do something like that completely uncalled for. Also the changes are not even about slugging precisely but because of the new mory mechanic which also noone asked for x-x

DbD was always survivor sided, so I started me a career as survivor main. But the last days killers were looked for. Without a killer I can't play survivor.

I have to add a few words:
Nurse: Nurse has been nerfed three times since release. First version of Nurse could blink three times without exhaustion.
A 61% kill rate is a number without any meaning. You do not know the numbers in high MMR, in middle MMR or in low MMR. The kill rate, in my opinion, is low in high MMR und high in low MMR. So SWF do not need a buff. But this patch buffs SWF a lot, and breaks game. Survivors do not longer need to pick up a downed survivor, because he just can stand up.
And about the 100% bloodpoint bonus, this is not true either. In the evening, just now, as I write, is the incentive on killer, 100%. Europe, 11 pm local time. Yesterday it was the same, same as the day before. Do you need proof? Here 👇️
And I mainly play survivor, 90% of the matches. But I do not need 10 minutes of lobby waiting for a killer.

It is possible to play without being able to adapt. However, they are reminded that they are bad killers by the abusive and insulting BMs against them.

The proposed new patch is incredibly bad in every possible way, like I think someone should probably be legit fired for proposing it. Although the Freddy nerf patch [deserves jail time IMO] was still worse this upcoming one is an extremely strong contender and I'm very worried about Killer QOL.

I main survivor solo. I don't have friends who play DBD to use for custom to practice getting better at looping etc so when I play I try and 9 out of 10 times I fail lol. My point is I don't know if this will hurt the game or balance it more or what. All I know is that no matter what happens both sides will always be mad about something. If you die you die it was meant to be. I just play to have fun and get the occasional jump scares from Meyer and Ghostface mains lol
