If Wesker's range must be easy-to-use and forgiving, why does he keep his one-shot ability?

...Built in Compound 33?? He needs an ADDON to even use the pallet break and otherwise he's forced to vault every pallet which most Survivors in most loops can outplay. In some cases, you can even literally get behind a Wesker mid pallet vaults and vault the pallet behind him.
Also, Deathslinger Iri Coin. Starstruck Agi Nurse. Leatherface, Myers, Billy. All Killers that can instadown, what's the problem?

Lemme just say this now, nerfing Myers immediately screams that you’ve never touched Myers ever, but Wesker can’t oneshot without it following very specific conditions and most of the time when you do one shot someone, they are injured as a survivor has to be at max infection and be slammed into a wall, so you need a survivor to refuse to use a spray can in order to do that

Every killer gets aura-reading at basekit. Killers know where gens are because of aura-reading. It gives you confidence; that's huge in a PvP game. If you want to combine a one-shot ability with that, it better be skillful, or related to lore, or the killer has to be seriously limited. Billy is skillful, Leatherface has to be play tiles (he has to know the game). Myers and Ghostface are limited and their powers are related to lore. Wesker isn't something else.
From my experience, most people coming from another PvP game would call aspects of Wesker's power "BS".

he is not easy to use. what. the ability to 1 shot has no connection to how hard they are to play. I mean most of easier killers have 1 shots...ironically like myers. billy, bubba, Ghostface so on. Wesker's bounds is skill-shot and its surely much harder to use then pretty much all the 1 shot's in the game. Maybe clown's pinky finger comes out to be a harder though i'd say clown is still easier.
It had higher skill-cap before increase in hitboxes changes but the overall dash was too slow. people were having desync issues where he would teleport through the survivor instead of hitting them. as a result, they increased survivor hitbox.
pin-point aim? Like deathslinger with iri coin? I mean its still more situational than that iri head. I think those got changed because too many people kept d/c vs huntress with the add-on's. it would really help if your teammate stop d/c when killer uses strong stuff and tries to play the game even when at harsh disadvantage. You should go in my detail to explain why you think wesker's ability to pierce two health-states when you are fully infected is BS. I'd like to point that Wesker is first killer in 11 chapters that acquired a base-kit instant down. the last one was Oni and that was roughly 2 years ago.

Wesker does require skill

Wesker doesn't automatically start with his insta-down (unless you're using his iri add on) You have to hit survivor's multiple times with his power to make them fully infected, or hit them once and wait for the infection to build up(giving other survivors time to repair gens). If you are in a chase with a fully infected survivor you have to make sure your dash will give you the grab and connect with an obstacle/part of the map, if it doesn't than the survivor won't be insta-downed. Also it is incredibly easy to remove the infection.

Wesker shouldn't have a one-shot ability because he has built-in slowdown, built-in information (Killer Instinct), anti-loop, the ability to hinder/slow survivor movement, and map mobility. He has enough going for him, already. In DBD, one-shot ability should either require significant game sense or significant mechanical skill. He requires neither.

He should never have the ability to one-shot down a survivor. He's already got enough going for him.

Nurse shouldn't be able to one-shot down a survivor. Deathslinger and Billy takes skill. Leatherface takes tile knowledge. Myers and Ghostface have enough limitations to allow for one-shot abilities. Wesker should not be helping himself to the most powerful parts of these killer's designs. Just for comparison, why doesn't Nemesis have that one-shot ability? He's bigger and more of a corrupted mutant than Wesker? How did Wesker become more powerful than some horrible abomination like Nemesis? I don't play Resident Evil, so I don't know the lore but I doubt Wesker is designed to be stronger than Nemesis.

There's no way you seriously think Myers and Ghostface have more limitations on their instant down than Wesker.

so you think his bound is too low skill-cap(skill-ceiling) to land? Not sure I agree with that. I think you should not miss his virulent bound if your close to the survivor, like pointblank with new hitboxs but it does take mechanical skill to land his bound. How difficult it is to use his ability varies more on how good the survivor movement is. The better survivor movement, the harder it is to land the move and the less chance you get to hit them. You do need to understand the loops to use his bound so I would say he fills game-sense category as well. Personally, I would say his hindered from infection is stronger then the instant down aspect of it, but either way, your not suppose to ignore the infection.
I do not think the difficult has any connection to whether the killer should have instant down or not. I think whether you should instant down or not should be more if the killer power feels unrewarding without instant down. Instant downs are good way to fix the killer's lethality issues from holding-W on health-states but having too many of them makes health-states feel too unrewarding for survivor so I would say that lower attack cooldown is better then most cases. that is just my opinion.

No he should because the conditions needed for it are rare anyways, and if you are being one shot down by him either he is throwing the game chasing you that long OR you refuse to use spraycans

Wesker has way more aspects to his power than Myers and Ghostface. Wesker doesn't need a one-shot down and it's obvious that recent killer designs are just a hodge-podge of former killer designs thrown together. Wesker is the best example of it right now.

In this scenario his inta-down has no affect on you.

You are just ticking boxes off of your imaginary list, instead of looking of how his kit works and how he plays. His build in information isn't Legions Killer Instinct, his anti-loop (if you can call it) isn't Clown/Artist-level anti loop, his hinder/slow only comes into play, when the survivors don't use one of their 12 sprays and his map mobility has a big cooldown that leaves him without his ability, should he find a survivor at the other end; quite the contrast to Nurse or Blight, who can zoom around and then follow up soon after with a dedicated attack.
I am not trying to downplay Wesker here, he is pretty cool and strong if played right, but he is far from a perfect killer that "got it all".

Someone had a salty match. He's not broken or even remotely OP. His hitboxes got fixed because Wesker players were literally RUNNING THROUGH survivors and not getting hits when they took up their entire screen. It was fixed from unplayable to playable. I wouldn't call that much of a buff.

If a Killer has a one-shot ability remove their ability to read auras? You honestly want to nerf the likes of Billy, Myers, Ghostface and not the likes of Artist, Blight, Nurse? I seriously question your design philosophy.
Also Wesker is very easy to deal with if you have played him for ~5 matches. You quickly learn that short loops are his weakness in chase, and trash on the floor can allow you to hold W against him. Short round loops prevent power usage, so he is a bog standard M1 Killer and you can simply drop the pallet at the right time. When you see him charging a dash put some walls in the wall between you two. Using the dash drops all Bloodlust, and one Dash is a massive net negative in terms of distance gained on a Survivor. If you force out the double dash near debris you can then make mad distance past him in the direction he came from.

If you just got unhooked it doesn’t matter as you are already injured, did you just have a bad game against him?

You have 12 uses per trial of a spray that makes it not happen and the buff was made because it just wasn't working when the hitbox was that small, it was even smaller than the collision box so you could slide off survivors instead of grabbing them, also no auras for instadown is a weird thing to add but also no
