Are flashlights messed up?

I just got done playing a match and I picked up a survivor face a wall that didint have any holes multiple times(keep in mind my face is practically smashed up against a wall) and this ace is able to get the flashlight save every time. As far as I'm aware there isnt a add-on that can give you an angle that lets you hit while your face is pressed up against a wall.

I was on swamp and the wall in question was the lower side of the boat which is completely solid or it would be in the corner of the map
