What is the jingle/sparkle sound I hear as survivor?
This happens almost exclusively when I play survivor. I'll be wondering around or doing an objective, and I'll hear this short sound that plays that's hard to describe. It's similar to the sound from the perk Small Game, only quieter and softer.
I don't have any notification perks, and it's not from other survivors.
My only guess is that it's a totem or chest nearby, but I cannot find any discussions about the sound anywhere, and the official wiki doesn't say that they emit occasional sounds,
EDIT: It turns out its the sound that plays when Huntress fully charges her hatchet. I never played her before so I didn't even know it was a thing lol

Is it at the start or just randomly? Might also just be the map.

It's after the match has started during gameplay. I notice it most frequently on the older maps like Autohaven or MacMillan, but I've also heard it on Backwater Swamp before.

Don't suppose its the obsession noise? When your the obsession there's a quick sound that plays. Im just kinda guessing here tbh.

If your cosmetic is dwight in a box or jingle bell dwight then I think you have your answer

Unless the obsession gets a 2nd different sounding reminder every few minutes, then no. Because the one when the match starts is very different.

I don't use any Christmas cosmetics outside of Christmas, so no that's not it either.

What is it you exactly run when you hear this? your perks, character, cosmetics, etc. Maybe record a game and use a map offering you often hear this on, clip the part of the vid you hear it on. Might be easier to figure out if you have a source you can refer to.

What perks are you running? Perks like Stake Out can make a little jingle when gaining a token, or Small Game has a little noise!

Record a match and highlight the sound. My crystal ball is in repair right now.

Is it when you use blast mine or activate flashbang. What about the perk that gives you a sound notification when looking at the killer (haven't used it in 1000 years forgot the name)

Is it on specific maps or all? Probably should record a match so everyone here can guess correctly.

Maybe you accidently forgot to turn off Netflix and it's still running in the background with a long sword fighting scene

OR MAYBE did you face a clown cause the crash of his bottles are heard even if you are across the map from him. And also huntress. You hear when she winds her hatchet all the way up no matter the distance from her

It’s ok. In the old maps I used to hear a breath let out at the beginning of some matches. Almost a shudder. I haven’t heard it since the maps were reworked. Shame really.

Reminds me of a similar issue I had back in the day.
Some matches, Id hear this weird mushy sound just outta no where, super confused me.
It was the Hag's traps triggering in the distance lmao

There should be a tutorial about sound cue when vs certain killer. I didnt know what "BOONG" means when vs Plague, its when her gets Corrupt purge.

I love being accused of hacking when I hit a survivor with Corrupt Purge and they don't know anything about Vommy Mommy
