It is not going to live, so it will has another PTB for later. And honestly it is not crazy news, just mori rework. So yeah, nothing to test.

I mean, this PTB is literally just to test the new mori changes, which are pretty simple, and after one playthrough you can just go back to the live servers.
Literally the most thrilling part of this PTB for me is that Wesker will no longer get yeeted to the side when a Survivor is dropping a pallet.

Sadako not being part of this mid-chapter does not mean that the devs think Sadako is fine.

They had to overhaul a lot of perks for these changes, it seems like it'll take more than one match on each side to try it all out.

I don't know about that, she released very long time ago. But still she is not getting anything.

Dredge and Wesker are the only chapters since her release. She's not that old.

Overhaul is quite a strong word here, since they only removed moris from mori related Perks and self-recovery from self-recovery related Perks, they didn't even make the bad Perks better, they have just been adjusted for the mori changes.

Developers may believe that Sadako is okay because they consider only the respective catalog specs of being mori capable by default, slightly stealthy, and capable of teleporting largely over the map to be significant.
In reality, it is a weak killer with poor dexterity.

There is something to test, go full power with Killers that good at chase and only slug. To know how many match you're success to do Finish Mori.

The PTB is to test stuff. The devs are testing the new mori system. The difference here is that unlike every other ptb we've gotten, this one has changes not intended to go immediately live.
Honestly it's nice that the devs are looking for feedback on this game changing system instead of throwing it live and making adjustments later.

I think that the fact the changes are not coming out with this patch doesn't mean they don't need to be tested or that the PTB is pointless.
They specifically said they want as much feedback and testing as possible, as they are going to have a big impact on the game.

I respect the mori part, it is really huge changes. Especially basekit UB. So i am glad they are testing it like that.
But it is sad we have not so much things will get to live servers. I wish there was more. At least Sadako buffs but i think i will wait for that.

The worst part is ALL she needs are simple number buffs:
-decrease tv cooldown by 30s
-make condemned give you exposed
-add additional ways to get condemned progress (but simultaneously nerf her current "condemned only" playstyle
Like dude why is wesker getting buffs immediately after his release but sadako has been in the dust for 7 months?

Wesker largely saw bug fixes with the only actual change being adjusting his collision hitbox because it was causing issues being too small and clipping through survivors.
Hardly anything to call a buff when it was making his power usable.

It's not scheduled to go live next patch...that's not to say it's not going to come to Live at any point. The new mori system needs testing and refining, which is why it's in this PTB.

If the team believes that she needs anything, I am sure she will be looked at.

Nothing is set in stone, that's why we're doing the PTB in this manner to get the feedback in early...that way changes can be made, feedback taken into consideration etc. That's why it's so important to try the PTB and give as much constructive feedback as possible.

Sadako gave me an aneurysm for three months after that whole debate between her and Spirit but I’ll say she does need buffs badly.

It's pathetic.
Sadako adjustments skipped the previously established "new Killer" update schedule because apparently the perk overhaul needed to be tested. Ok. Guess it'll be there next update? No?
Now it's time to test out a base-kit Unbreakable that no one asked for and a 'Meh' Mori system that excites no one, couldn't possibly look at more than two things at the same time.
Sadako came out in March. We're now pushing into October. There hasn't been a peep about her current state since. Just took the quick cash for a weak, lazy killer design that would sell nothing without brand marketing and dashed. Thanks.

I'm just glad mandy said the mori changes aren't set in stone. They sound absolutely terrible, it will be impossible to crawl out of hatch, killers can't really choose when to mori. And people have mentioned that the mori is essentially a cutscene that takes place outside of the game environment which sounds, well, just kinda bad. I love moris the way they are, just maybe weaken the ebony mori token a bit, like have it allow 2 moris on double hooked survivors instead of every surv in the game.
Like the new mori system sounds essentially like the cypress mori. Which i hate using because i don't always want to have to sweat a 4 kill game to get to enjoy doing a mori. As i quite like allowing the last survivor to escape if they played well and weren't toxic. It will really hurt my enjoyment playing killer, which is already being eroded because matchmaking is throwing a LOT of toxic survivors at me recently.

I don't think she desperately needs a buff. Not every killer needs to have a chase power, if you want that you can play huntress. Sadako power relies on map control and stealth. For me she's really fun to play and the synergy with some builds that are boosted by her power are nothing to despise.

i think the devs are having hard time trying to buff her, or simply don't care.
if u buff condemn too much it could become quite annoying to deal with and would delay the gen rushing (which would be good but hey i guess they don't want to see people complain about her having one play style?)
honestly the best buff for her is to least give her the ability to not get stunned by pallets while demanifested and make her tv cooldowns from 100 seconds to 40, because let's be honest what the hell is even 100 seconds, 100 seconds shouldn't exist at all to any killer or perks
and maybe buff/rework some addons and maybe even rework nemi addons CUZ THEY SUCK

Never. The mods just let them do their thing even though everyone knows what they're doing. They're actually a 5k hour+ Nurse main that plays the embodiment of what their posts complain about lol

Sadako is not a survivor, she will never receive anything important.
This joke of a PTB showed very clearly one thing: Dont expect anything, because anything is already too much expectation.

they look stats and stats say 61% kill-rate. so no changes to sadako. i hope they improve her base-kit condemn build-up by giving allowing her m1 add 1 condemn stack so the mechanic is more useful. it appears they do think she is fine, no changes since her addition to live servers.

I still don’t understand how Sadako is that bad.
I have so much fun with this character, and it’s strange to me that a handful find her weak. Like I get her TV power could be tweaked but what else? I just do not see it.
I don’t think she needs to be S tier to be enjoyable.

What is her power? Other than the tvs, which can be taken away, she has literally nothing. Her power doesn’t work as anti loop, and she isn’t stealthy because you can hear her coming. Worthless.

Umm, she is also stealth. If you are arguing that you can "hear" her... well you can also hear Ghostface's cloak, you can also get a tell when Pig dashes... Stealth doesn't mean completely oblivious.
Why should her power work as anti-loop when she is not an anti-loop killer?

I’m getting at that she has no power. Her stealth is even more obvious than other stealth killers. GF and wraith also have other benefits to their power (instadown, antiloop speed boost.) Sadako has literally nothing

No one who is knowledgeable of the game can possibly see any value to her power. You’ve spent a whole lot of time trying to poke holes in what I’m saying, but you haven’t mentioned anything good about her except her limited teleport.

And so again, what does she do? She has a teleport that she can’t always access. It’s like a significantly worse version of Freddy, who himself isn’t very good. She can do literally nothing in chase except hold forward and eat pallets.

I love playing Sadako. Her kit is unique and the jumpscare and hit-and-run playstyle has been my favorite since I discovered the game. What I think makes Sadako so bad are the boons and DH. You rely on setting up ambushes rather than on chases. These perks counter this hard. But some builds, like those here, can help her do better. Plaything and other Undetectable perks can work wonders on her.
But yeah, she is pretty weak. Maybe the condemned part should be buffed?
