Endgame request to fellow survivors
If your teammate is being chased after the last gen has popped, but before the gates are open… PLEASE… 99% or open BOTH gates.
We’ve all been there. You have a good runner teammate keep the killer busy for most or all of the game and now the last gen pops. He’s being hounded by the killer who is determined to make him pay. If you’re not the one being chased… take the effort to 99 or open BOTH gates. It’s the least you could do. You’re likely in very little danger since the killer wants that guy anyway. Take a little risk and help them. Even better would be preparing BOTH gates and then venturing out to take a hit for them or vice versa. Either way…. Having both options for escape is a huge help and can make all the difference. It’s really deflating to work that hard all game and then get to a 0% exit while your teammates are all hanging out at the other one. Come on guys… help your team. Always be thinking of stuff you could do to help.

I don't experience people that do this tbh. Always bothbgates opened or 99nd

I'd like to add onto this and say if they have the killer in tow on their way to the exit gate and they're injured, for the love of god open that damn gate.
Had a match last night where we had a 3E but Claudette, who was healthy, ran away from the gate forcing me to open it which bought the killer enough time to down me. This resulted in a 2E instead.

Yeah been there. Sometimes people don’t stop to think that this stuff matters. They think, oh we won… I’ll go search a chest or find a totem. If you 99d the gate… stay near it.

These 2 kinda contradict themself right?
I can't stay at one gate to open it if you have the killer in tow if i'm off to open the other gate.
I generally 99% one gate and then hover around it so i can open it when needed.
My job is done then, if the other gate isn't open that's on my teammates
Only exception to this is if all non chased teammated are with me so i know no-one is at the other gate or if i'm the only non chased one and then i'll just leave so the chased one has a chance at hatch

This honestly used to be standard practice. Gen 5 is done, split up, 99 or open gates, and get ready to set off the protection train. I even run empathy to track where the last survivor is being chased, open the door and then get to that protection hit. The number of times it's been me being chased, I get to the gate, and not only is the gate not open, nobody is there because they are hiding. I mean, yeah ok, nobody is forced to take that hit, but if you're fully healed and right by the gate? Come on!

You misunderstand. If the gate or gates are 99'd and they're not hanging around, that's fine. Not a big deal. That's just bad luck.
But if they are hanging around, like this Claudette was, and it's clear that you're injured with the killer in tow and another survivor behind you protecting, then it should make sense that there is no reason to run away from the gate at that point.
