Some tunneling is fine

people have turned into parrots lately "oh there tunneling me" well ya what do you want the killer to do? equally hook 4 people twice before killing someone out of the game? yes there some games you get focused, get over it, it how the game is. the only real problem that is somewhat valid and I say somewhat is face camping especially with certain killers like bubba which without a perk like deliverance someone is getting screwed. It wasn't too long ago people actual blamed teammates for stupid plays instead of coping and calling the killer a tunneller i literally had a game where my teammates unhook me 2 seconds after getting hooked then after i get tunneled out i wait for the game to end and they flame the killer in end chat about tunneling using their swords of self righteousness pretending to defend me then i have to defend the killer telling them they are stupid for unhooking me immediately 2 time after getting unhooked like what kinda delusion do some survivors live in they think the survivor is just not allow to be targeted for like 2 minutes after getting unhooked its dumb and i honestly believe they need to be educated and play better. Tunneling has always been around but lately people use it as a scape goat for playing stupid

Edit: face camping is stupid tbh i feel they should remove unhook interrupts tho cause that is such a boring and stupid way to ruin someone's game not even gonna say play cause they aren't they just afk and left click when some1 shows up

I don't disagree that some survivors make mad decisions like literally unhooking you in front of the killer (unless he is face camping which in that case it can't be helped) or maybe unhooking after stage 2 and they just leave you when obviously the killer is going after you and he'll catch up again.

But I've seen many games where people are busting their ass trying to get the killer to hit them and he just ignores them. I had some a game earlier. David was hooked by Huntress and literally would only go after him. Like I'd run between them to take a hit and she'd not give up.

We actually all escaped that game, because all of us tried to help and the Huntress only had 1 perk. But if we didn't help David out he'd be out of the game pretty early on.

Afterwards we tried to all bodyblock on a different game against Trapper but he had Iron Grasp and maybe a second perk that it was useless trying to help our teammate without sabo which no one had, or Flashlights. Obviously in this case you have to play the game differently than in the first case, cause body blocks don't matter but without communication how can we co-ordinate that?

Even if Huntress was a newbie probably, unless we helped David he was still easily tunneled out. Sometimes it feels like tha game itself is against you with how hard it is to communicate.

I lost a game to facecamping today. If you facecamp and someone is running Iron Grasp and people bodyblock, you can win rather easily because people will be injured. And then it snowballs. How is that fair? Not being able to co-ordinate a different strategy. Ideally if someone is carried he should be able to let us know the Killer has Iron Grasp or something so we know not to bodyblock and waste healthstates or time and do gens.

Sometimes this game is very RNG based and you lose unintentionally, even though in a scenario the killer didn't bring Grasp, bodyblocking would be the right call.

Very true, tunneling and also camping aren't all black and white. There are legit and valid reason for doing so.

Let's put it like this tunneling fine at 2-1 gens. Tunneling not fine 4-5 gens. Tunneling at 3 gens idk. This is logic I personally try to use.

Oh, so tunneling is fine because you get focused some games and that's just how the game is.

Sorry mate, but the game was clearly not designed around tunneling being the intended way to play the game. This is why survivors have two health states and 3 hook states, instead of just being eliminated from the game as soon as they're hooked.

It wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't for it happening every round. It's at the point where I'm actually surprised if a killer isn't tunneling.

People overvalue chases. They think the killer can just get 10-second chases all the time to make up for the gen speed, but that's almost not possible. In reality, killers physically don't have enough time to do 12 chases If the survivors are efficient on gens. If we cut out some chases, via camping or tunneling, we actually get something for our time. Face camping, unless you're Leatherface, is incredibly overvalued. You can't JUST press M1 on an unhooking survivor. Even when there's only 1 unhooking survivor, they can play the grab game and get you to hit them, giving you a hook trade instead of a positive trade. They're supposed to be grab-able when you see them turn their head, but they always let go in time somehow.

^ok im not a dev so idk what was intended for the game glad you being all wise and knowledgeable found it out for me thanks

^??????????? idk what the correlation between tunneling and health and hook states is but ok. People breath air because the sky is blue

I think tunneling is a valid method. BUT. Tunneling someone out of the game at 4 or 5 gens is just ridiculous. Like. At least TRY to get at least one hook or something on somebody. Jeez. XD
