The Halloween Event (And Most Other Events)
Is it just me or does this event seem like it's going to be very forgettable very fast? I feel like the recent events have also been very forgettable to have happened. We seem to talk about how awesome some of the past events are and I want the devs to strive for that, however they don't seem interested in that. From the trailer for the event... actually I rewatched it right before making this post and I already can't tell you anything about the event. The most I got is some blighted cosmetics, a new tome, and something else about cosmetics. I know they explained the event in the trailer, but I can't even tell you what this event IS. I think that should speak some level of volume about how dull this event really is going to be. Is it seriously just another event tome and that's it? Not very exciting. The event tome was interesting at first, now it's just dull and feels like an excuse to put minimal effort into event while looking like they put a ton of work into it.

I am no BHVR fanboy by any means but I sometimes almost feel bad for them as most events people give them a lot of grief that isn't really deserved. Just my opinion, nobody has to be happy or whatever and that is totally fair. I generally don't care unless all I get is a stupid charm since I have zero interest in them personally lol

There’s a lot here for me. I love the Tomes. The mini-Tomes have been an especially great treat for my attention.
In the past, they would give away two sets of blighted cosmetics (or six pieces). Now they just give you those pieces through the Tome. Good transition. Love it.
Theyve built in an event that unlocks skull shirts (fun and creative) and candy based killer weapons (loveable).
Then released the Tome early. It’s only going to be two weeks since the PTB. Granted they do not have a lot to release here. Still I’m used to the Halloween Tome coming very late in the month, meaning we can’t earn the halloween cosmetics in time to play with during late October. Often November-ish.
So I say it’s good. I do wish Oni’s skin was more creative. That’s my complaint.

From what I understand, you'll need to gather energy during the match, then go to special portals to deposit the energy as survivor. Not 100% sure what the killer side is, might be the same, might be like the Killer's goal is to steal the energy?

It will probably be like green glyph - survivors need to do gens, killers need to hook survivors.

It's better than the damned snowmen, though that bar is pretty low.

I kinda liked the way they setup the anniversary event, where you had to find and interact with the mask pillars as killer or survivor. That way both sides could be as competitive or friendly as they wanted, and it varied from trial to trial. You were also not locked into any particular play mode (survivor/killer) to get the masks on everyone available.
