So why is gen tapping still a thing?
you know it has a been a problem for years, just you getting stuck in a 2 seconds animations while a survivor pats the gen and there regression gone
it might not seem like big idea when the gen is barely working but when its 98% , trust me it gets really frustrating
why not make it so when the survivors touch the gen for 2 seconds they get a skill check THEN it stops the regression
also even ignoring the gen is not an option anymore since wiretrap exists which can make the shack chases impossible because if u hit the gen they are most likely reached another jungle gym
and yes before you use your big brain and tell me use perks, you know...running the same perks over and over tends to get a little boring and since this game barely has the flexibility to run ANY BUILD on either side, trying to play with different builds tends to get a little annoying, mainly because i can't get any damn value

What killers do u use then

Kicking gens has always been meaningless. I have this idea for a while now. They added that you remove 2% of gen progress I believe when you kick a gen. Why can't we have it where that regression grows if survivor taps a gen within a short amount of time. You kick a gen (2%), survivor taps it, you kick it again (4%), survivor taps it again, you kick again (8%) and so on. That's my opinion at least.

With the 6.1.0 update Killers now deal an instant base regression of 2.5% worth of the generators max progress on top of starting the normal regression.
Doesn't sound like much, but if they keep tapping it you can consistently reapply those 2.5%, which will quickly add up enough so you don't have to worry about them doing it in your face anymore.

I agree with having a skill check right when a survivor taps the generator, but killers lose the 2% on kick because survivors can potentially be interrupted for about, I think, 10% if they don't finish the skill check.

im a low tier player
pig, sadako, ghostie you know the killers that u barely see beside ghostface u tend to see a lot of those
and if u are gonna tell me just play high tier killers, then im gonna say what's the point of all of these killers existing if im gonna be stuck with 2

that's a really good idea, maybe that could apply if the survivor touches the gen while in chase, then those values could apply

that's the thing IF U CAN, if u can kick the gen over and over u will win but most of the time u kick the gen they already crossed half of the map

50sec Gen wasnt needed. They could simply add 2sec startup animation for every action: Gen, Heal, Chest, Gate, Totem
It would fix both Gen rush, increase 99 Gate risk, promote spread pressure, remove Gen tapping.

that's even a better solution

Dragon's Grip is the perk you are looking for

Run overcharge or dragon's grip then, punish them for gen tapping

why not make it so when the survivors touch the gen for 2 seconds they get a skill check THEN it stops the regression
your describing a perk called overcharge. You can run it on every killer build to make it base-kit. gen tapping is not a problem.

There's such an easy fix for it too. Just make it so a survivor has to be working on it for at least 5 seconds

All the squats make for great exercise.

Because it's not an issue.

Because killers can kick gens

did you even read any.....forget it

ah yes run the same perk every damn time, not changing a single thing because BHVR doesn't wanna fix a simple problem
modern problems require modern solutions

did it before but, im not about to run the same thing 600 times you know...that would just make the game even more boring than it is

I mean i run some kind of regression perk in pretty much every build. Even my deathslinger meme hex build has hex ruin in it lol.

yes i do have regression perks on my builds too, mostly SH:PR but you know sometimes u wanna try something new and u end up getting gen rushed to hell, its so dumb that every killer is forced to play with a gen regression perk

Mm it's the main mechanic of the game. Makes sense killers have to play around it. Could maybe try leaning into it and ignore gens? Make an endgame build where you just make as much hook progress as you can then turn it around in the endgame?

I just read the title and asmwered.

Gens take 90 seconds, if you let them get to 88 seconds, that is your fault. You need to understand that you have the power role. Either choose to bring something that does more damage to the gen, or choose to commit to the chase and lose that gen. That is your choice. The devs don't need to fix what you perceive as broken just because you refuse to adapt to your weaknesses.
Two of the many solutions that you refuse to use, Jolt or Overcharge. Also, Brutal Strength wouldn't hurt if you run into this all of the time. As long as those solutions exist and there are killers out there willing to use them, the devs CANNOT balance off of your choice to hinder yourself. Think about that for a second. You are choosing to make the game harder for yourself because you refuse to go META. I also refuse to do the META, but unlike you I am not here asking for the survivors to be nerfed because I choose to play fun builds.
Play your fun builds and have fun, or do the META and sweat it out. Make your choice.

Shadow dance and serpent wraith thrives on kicking gens and uncloaking right on top of the survivors. Pair with brutal strength and eruption for extra value and fun.
And if they have the gall to not let go the Gen, uncloak on their behinds and hit them anyway.

Because 2,5% is not enough. They should increase this number up to at least 5%.
