Is it possible to be public matched with a friend?

So I tried googling this, but all I can find is how to form a party or do a Custom, which is not what I am wondering.

I always hear people saying "oh, I hope i get matched against you someday" which, the thing is, if you are actually friends on like Steam or in DBD itself, is that even possible?

Like I'm not friends with any of the Fog Whisperers, so it's at least possible someday I might go up against a hypothetical FW named Ashley (don't want to name any actual ones as I am not sure how the forum rules apply to them in this situation.) BUT, if I were to become friends with her and actually have her as a friend able to play SWF with her, would that make it impossible for me to see her as killer?
