Let's give BHVR some credit for these forums!
They allow a lot of criticism here. Many other devs ban any critical comments on their forums. As long as you are respectful, your comments seem to be welcome here. I'm decently critical but I must give credit where it is due.

I agree they allow a lot of Criticism but they usually never respond to said Criticism
will appreciate Mandy sometimes mentioning she relays some information to what i assume is the higher ups

I genuinely think these are the laxest forums I've ever seen from an official game dev company
Like I've seen some pretty scathing, borderline nasty criticisms be left basically unmoderated for the most part. They draw the line at personal attacks on people or really vulgar language (For the most part).
The only people I've seen be banned for criticism type threads are people who just spam them over and over with little difference. Even then you get warned first pretty sure.
Whether people think it's ignored is besides the point, DBD's community exists in this weird paradox where sections of the community are convinced their opinions are never wrong and the "opposing side" shouldn't have any credence because xyz. BHVR has to think carefully what to listen to because DBD as a game spans so many different viewpoints and ideas.
Hell, some of the things I would say most of us agree on might be heavily contested opinions elsewhere.

Well the devs dont read it, others do. And if they think its important theyll forward it to the devs.
I like that at least some suggestions come through f.e. ruin nerf or dead hard nerf was really important for the game but i feel like they didnt even got those suggestions from the forums. Id guess they gathered it from watching streams or communicating with the Fog Whisperers. Ive seen many useful things being suggested multiple times for a while and non of them have been adressed. All Posts that have BHVR-read on them are neutral / technical things that dont impact the game in any meaningful way.

I wouldn't disagree that BHVR cares about their community but the way they approach or handle things in the game makes it hard sometimes to think they do.
I'm not saying I'm a BHVR "hater" but I'm definitely NOT a BHVR white knight either.

BHVR is good for allowing criticism
But since most of the time they do either little to nothing about it or they go in a completely different direction it's kinda useless as well
