Question Of The Day #3 Item / Add on Questio

Okay it's been a while this was (hopefully will eventually be a daily thing) my best friend is terminally ill so I had to take quite a bit of time away from the game & forum as well as most other things to be honest.

She's spent the past couple of weeks pushing me back towards the game & forum (with mixed results) & she's suggested I post a few more of these so here we are!

She suggested the next Question should be why have I been murdered so much today! (But we'll park that for now)

So instead during one of the games she asked about BNP & thats what i'm going with!

Sorry for the intro heres the actual question!

Q. You start a game in solo queue (madness I know) you have a good tool box & BNP add on. Assuming you're likely to get any gen you use it on fixed which one would you use it on??

Personally If I bring it in I try to use it on the 3rd or 4th gen. (As in 2 or 3 already lit up) of course i'll occassionally forget & use the toolbox on the first gen I touch but where possible have 2 to 3 gens lit depending on the map, killer & potential 3 gens taking shape is a much better use of the add on.

With Franklin's getting so popular I tend to spend them on 1st gen right off. I'd rather save them for 4th. It's harder to get and you often have to spot where the killer is setting up their "3" so you can break it up. I'm just tired of saving an item only to get it knocked out of my hand or....you know...die early without using it.

Plus nothing panics a killer more than a couple gens popping off early.

well. First of all I try to use the BNP at the end of a gen to make sure the effect won’t get wasted by any gen regression.

as to which gen.. depends on the map! On some maps, there is a strong gen in the middle or something and then this one even if it’s the first (eg on Azarovs Resting Place). Otherwise probably the second gen I complete.

I decide that I should sabo a hook instead.

I'd immediately head to the most painful 3gen at the start of the game and use the toolbox to break it asap (e.g. Gallows on Dead Dawg, the big two story house on Haddonfield, etc.).

If there isn't a 3gen then I'd instead use the BNP on an unsafe gen if it's the difference between finishing it or not, then from there save the rest of the toolbox for the final gen

The most important gens are the 1st gen and the last gen.

Using it on the 1st gen is important to make the first move against the killer. Especially if you can get it done before he can even injure somebody.

Last gen for obvious reasons. Less gens for the killer to patrol, less time to get it done. BNP can play a huge part. Especially in a 3 gen situation.

Thanks for the responses as always.

Must admit despite years of playing & well past 10,000 hours across 5 platforms i've never really thought of using BNP half way through gen progress (though it makes perfect logical sense) I'd agree on using it on say the central gen on Azarov's though that would be one of my few exceptions to my general stance though I haven't been there for months!!

Had a franklins game yesterday first time i've seen it in a long while not seen a big increase in my personal games but then I rarely bring items so perhaps the killer is less inclined to put it on if few of my teammates do either.
