We have gotten some women with curves, and thank you for that <3
can we have some survivor dad bodies too please?

Preferable to Jeff. if he had a "dad body", he would really be my avatar.
2 -
Ehhh no thanks. We don't need a whole lot of representation for out of shape men. Maybe clown or jeff if you really want?
4 -
Jeff, Clown, Jonah.
But No thank you. We don't need more ogling
Better yet I've seen girls call Super muscular himbos "dad bods" so the word itself it just very open.
3 -
...why not?
19 -
Because nothing can compete with the majesty of Clown. They would all fail and just disappoint players.
6 -
And yet more positive representation always helps others. Plus it'd stop people being so weird and creepy about it all the time.
6 -
haha, it's not really funny if that's a joke, body representation is important
2 -
Yes.
and just more variety in bodytypes generally please. I mean, it used to be worse in DbD and I can’t really complain right now. But nothing against more ;)
6 -
Think of how many calories survivors burn running from the killer. It makes zero sense to have chubby survivors.

I suspect it is just a money issue. They are estimating that few would purchase those cosmetics. Why do you think we keep getting Feng Min costumes? the answer is people ######### love buying them
2 -
Feng min is the only survivor with cosmetics, it's just that some of them are glitched and appear on other survivors for some reason
6 -
No one forces you to get that if you dont want it, but im sorry to break it to you...
The world isnt just about what you want, and i defo. think this game should represent everyone.
Also middle aged men that have a dad body.
2 -
Jeff, Oni is kinda, Ash and Dwight kinda. The game has some dad bods already!
1 -
Jeff has the epitome of a dad bod.
Not saying we shouldn't have more, btw. But why not give Jeff some love? He deserves it.
3 -
I think we need more, also a little bit bigger than Jeff would not hurt, i mean, look at Haddie or Jane :)

The Entity quite literally deletes all memories after a trial and returns the Survivor back to how they were first dragged into the Realm, restructuring their bodies and minds out of it's own Auric Cells in order to have a continued food source. People can have a chainsaw tear through their spine and yet are healed with a magical back rub. People who are already injured stepping into a bear trap causes no further harm instead of, you know, completely incapacitating them.
I don't think realism is our biggest concern here.

All for the inclusion of different shapes and sizes, I guess the only issue is they need to be able to fit in the hitbox capsule lol.

Not to be confused with more Daddy bodies, which if you Google DbD Daddy you get some… interesting images. 🫣
2 -
I honestly thought that the title was a funny typo and you meant dead bodies spread around the map for the Halloween event
2 -
nah the dbd community only wants coom bait. just look at how they treat haddie and jeff over someone like mikeala, felix or any of the other meg 2 characters. the only positively recieved plus size character of the 3 is jane, and thats mostly because she has a large chest and butt.

I wish the men did have some variety. Specifically I would love some "alt" styles to be available, as the women have a crap ton of options. :/
0 -
Yes, please. We definetly need more body variety!
0 -
is that not EVERY male survivor? they're all modeled so poorly they're all dad bods but textured to not look like it.
1 -
Indeed. Maybe a bear?
1 -
Oh you're one of them.
I can promise you a little bit of pudge will not be causing anyone chronic arterial failure.
But I suppose it's fine for Jane, because it's only a health issue for men?
Jesus.
8 -
bestie i can promise you this is not the number one issue with obesity within the world. this is completely natural.
whereas this is an unhealthy and unrealistic body standard perpetuated within mass mainstream media. in order to achieve this constantly- as not just when attempting to show off, but all the time, you would have to be seriously dehydrated and starved, as we see all the time with all the horror stories from actors behind the scenes.
so again, i can pinky promise you that a little bit of pudge will not be giving serious artery failure and a little bit of stomach isn't being overweight
Stop being weird and get over yourself.
4 -
He isn't wrong though, when that fat sits on your body for a while it expels hormones that cause bad problems for men like low testosterone.
0 -
If a 50 year old man having that body shape is the biggest health issue you have in a country I'd say you're doing pretty good for yourself.
Go ahead and try and tackle to morbid obesity epidemic going on before trying to say that having a stomach will kill you in 7 days babes.
3 -
You are aware that all the "survivors" are actually dead in the trial right?
That could be a reason they died, it would fit the lore.
2 -
It's literally true though, I don't have anything against fat men, I was fat before, but put simply I don't think we should add fat people because being overweight or obese is a health issue. I didn't mind when the devs made David gay and whatever they're gonna do next, because being gay isn't gonna give you a fatty liver.
1 -
Once again not having 24/7 chiseled abs and having an actual stomach that appears as a result of eating a normal amount instead of being severe dehydrated and starved won't be killing you before you're 80 babes.
Also where was David's sexuality brought up before and what relevance does it have??
2 -
15% body fat is a good and healthy place you can get to while still eating and drinking enough, I'm not asking for every male survivor to be built like a Mr. Olympia level bodybuilder, just that they don't promote a body type that is wreaks havoc on your body.
0 -
And having a stomach won't wreck havoc on you. You are aware there's a difference between dad bod and morbid obesity, right??
2 -
- So going by what I think is a dad bod(<20% body fat) it literally is, fat releases excess estrogen which negatively affects your testosterone level, this can result in the following health problems: Low sex drive, fatigue, reduced lean muscle mass, Irritability, Erectile disfunction, and depression.
0 -
So then where was all of the commotion when Jane Romero released? Or Jeff Johansen?
0 -
Woman can carry around extra body fat and be fine, I didn't even know Jeff was fat.
0 -
Jeff literally has a dad bod.

I couldn´t have said this any better!

Wish we could have gotten a Barry Burton with all of this Resident Evil content. There's really no thicc males in the game.

Having a "dad bod" and being morbidly obese are two very different things when it comes to health. There is a spectrum here, and I don't think anyone is calling on BHVR to add characters who would appear on My 600-lb Life, just the same variety of body types the female side has been seeing.
And for the record, how being overweight (again, not morbidly obese, that is bad for anyone) affects one's health has a lot to do with individual genetics and metabolism. I work health care adjacent and I've known people who at 30-40 lbs overweight were having normal lab results and were generally healthy/active, and I've also known/seen people whose bodies start going haywire with even 10 extra pounds. Heck, there was one friend of my dad's who was never even a little overweight but was constantly battling typically weight related issues like non alcoholic fatty liver, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc. Genetics can be a real pain for some people.
There is a line in terms of weight for each individual that when crossed leads to health issues, but where that line is varies. In the current meta of body positivity (which is good), finding the line between being negative/aesthetically critical and being legitimately concerned (and expressing that) for someone's health is a tricky subject to navigate.
That said, Jeff is totally a dad bod guy, though more certainly wouldn't hurt anything.
4 -
This is spot on, all i ask is that "males get the same variety of body types the female side has been seeing"
I dont even get how that got turned into a request for morbidly obese skins, that was not what i requested (see my above comment for clarification).
1 -
You forgot about all those sweet Escape Cakes,Frightful Flans,Gruesome Gateau,Ghastly Gateus and the Sacrificial Cakes 🎂🥧🍰
3 -
There's literally serial killers in this game dude
6 -
Dad bod. Not unhealthy, just not ripped. This is the body of a guy who's moderately active but doesn't spend hours in the gym everyday. A dad. Perfectly healthy and not obese but there's a belly there. Anybody who thinks promoting a normal body type is promoting being overweight is a looney.
5 -
Is it too much to ask, that people read the thread?
- all i ask is that "males get the same variety of body types the female side has been seeing"

I’m sorry but Seth Rogan is not “healthy” in that photo and it says more about your own insecurities than it does about society that you’re trying to claim that it is.
There’s a happy medium for a majority of people between those two photos. But then I remembered I’m on a forum for a video game so it’s not surprising people would be more inclined towards the Rogan look and think anyone who has more than two abs showing must be starving themselves.
1 -
I apologise I selected the first photo that appeared under "dad bod" and the first photo that appeared under "chiseled abs" because contrary to popular belief I have other things in my life to do than write detailed replies on the DBD forums to someone who cannot tell the difference between a dad bod and being morbidly obese.
Tbh I didn't even know that was Seth Rogan.

I’mma need to see some proof for that.
The Entity doesn’t flat-out kill people to capture them, it “just” causes mass misery to everyone and everything around it, wherever it goes. See Mikaela’s trailer which shows the moment she was captured. I really don’t think she died there.

Actually this might not be the case anymore. In the new Deep Rift outfit descriptions it makes reference to the survivors and killers finding items in the trials and the entity's realm and keeping them as keepsakes and such. If the entity reconstructs the survivor after every trial surely this wouldn't be possible?
May just be a retcon but I've always hated the "entity resets everyone's memory and killers don't interact with each other" idea. Ruins so many possible stories and interactions that could happen otherwise. I get the entity giving them trial-length amnesia at the start of the trial but just wiping their memory every time is the most boring option they could've picked. It all also contradicts with a bunch of previous claims they've made, like that wraith and nurse are romantically related and blight captures killers to experiment on them.
