crouch dancing at exit gate

If I haven't griefed you during the match, please for the love of god don't grief me at the end of it.

It is pretty bad sportsmanship honestly. I play mostly Survivor and I have t-bagged before if the killer was grieving myself or others but it's usually just not worth it honestly.

Lately I've been giving my item to the killer at the exit if I think they played well or played fairly. I usually just bring in a brown or yellow item anyway.

    Just hit them out

Jeez, didn't know it was so complicated to just not care about someone on the other side of the screen

So if you didn’t know, you can manipulate how a survivor goes down by which direction you hit them. If they are dancing at the exit, arc to the right or left of them and swing towards the entrance to the gate as much as you can. Sometimes it will throw the survivor out just enough to pick them up. I’ve caught a couple teabagging survivors this way. End game chat is always very salty.

They are the ones that are holding the queue times back

"Hit them out" why so they can start to heal as I wipe my blade? Give them more points in chase?

"Just don't go near the gates" I don't but they won't leave till the last second... So they can run back into the map to flashlight spam

Just leave and gloat to yourselves

If my teammate is still in the Map. often times i can by them some time by annoying the killer with t-bags making them waste time pushing me out.

But if everyone is safe. i try not 2 unless the killer is being a pooper.

this hardly works and it's just gonna piss the killer off more and give the survivors more to laugh about. literally just don't go to the exit gate. if ur answer to being salty is trying to make them saltier, who even wins at that point?

You have a big weapon in your hand, you can put an end to button mashing in a second using it to chase people out the gate.

It’s so stupid, so why let it upset you.

I mean think about it, it doesn’t cost you anything, but the person doing it commits time, wear and tear on their controller/keyboard and future RSI in their hands.

How is it an effective taunt if the cost is born entirely by the taunter?

You either farm up points while they mash buttons or you chase them out and move on while they mash buttons. You win that scenario either way independent of what actually happened in game.

It doesn’t make me mad lol. I could care less about BM. It may not work all the time, but when it does it’s absolutely satisfying. It’s not to make them salty, it’s punishing them for not just leaving. Do as you please. I’ll always go hit them out. More points for me.

Sure, it's a terrible thing to do. It's also quite unproductive to further discuss this, sadly.

All I can offer is my sympathy

agreed. when a survivor gets cocky. its makes its 10x funnier when they fall

The only time I'll ever teabag at the gate is if the killer was hard tunneling or facecamping all game. And even then only occasionally, and I'm not proud of it.

Teabagging at the gate just because you can is pathetic, since there's rarely any risk. It's boundary aggression, like the little dog that barks at big dogs through the fence, but will quietly cower without that barrier.

If you must teabag, do it in chase and have the courage of your convictions.

But occasionally it does lead to moments of high comedy, like when it's against a Slinger or Wesker, or they're not as close to the exit as they thought, and end up dead.

I get wanting to vent, but in all serious, you need to learn to not let it bother you. You will enjoy the game a hell of a lot more.

Teabagging is fine in my book, it's the equivalent of smacking someone on the hook. The person doing it is having fun, it doesn't affect you, just let them do it.

Better yet play Ghostface and teabag them back.

If it's because they're not leaving and prolonging the game, just knock them out of the exit.

I once came up with a perk idea to combat this...

    Salvation Becomes Damnation

    Killer Perk.

Even the safest places can become their tomb. If a healthy survivor or an injured survivor stays in the exit gate area for longer then 4 seconds, the exit gate for that exit gate area will become blocked by the Entity. It will remain blocked until no survivors are in that exit gate area for 20/15/10 seconds.

but ur suggesting it to OP who clearly is upset about ppl BMing them. at that point ur just looking for more reasons to make yourself salty, just on the off chance you MIGHT make a survivor salty. It's a lose-lose.

People like to BM in video games.

    This one ain't an exception.

While I do agree that it shouldn't upset people too much and I personally am over it, I also know that some people are a bit more sensitive to these things. A few months back I was just like that and even going there to force them out would force me to look at them doing it, making me upset. What got me upset wasn't the teabagging itself but more that they had to go out of their way and try to be ***holes about it. Of course you shouldn't take everything to personally but sometimes you just can't help it.

Why do we need to BM each other? Can't we all have fun and respect other people? It's just common decency.

    If you avoid the gate:

You won't be visually insulted, but your eardrums will be destroyed by noise spam from windows, pallets, and locker vaults. Auditory insult.

Don’t forget you are playing against 12 year olds or adults with the mental maturity of 12 years olds

Yeah Its tiresome dealing with obnoxious players. I'm not gonna deny that. The anonymity of the online world turns people into right wankers too.

But bad winners tend to go hand in hand with sore losers, so they taunt when they win and they tantrum when they lose, all you can do is see it for what it is.

Get what you can from the scenario i.e. farm up points by breaking stuff or chase em out and move on.

In the event there's a Survivor at a gate in EGC I go break pallets/walls, use my M2 for points or look for hatch. If not I'll go piss, get water, talk to chat, get a snack or smoke a clip

I find most people are hypocritical when it comes to this topic and will make excuses as to why its your own fault for being even a centimeter's worth of annoyed or rolling your eyes so I don't bother pointing the contradictions out or explaining common sense to them anymore. I just ignore it and watch people gaslight each-other over this

  • RatbasterdJr
    RatbasterdJr Member Posts: 702

Not really. Sometimes I’ll get the survivors. Either way I’ll get more points. Win win. Fastest way to get a BM survivor out is to smack them out.

  • Xernoton
    Xernoton Member Posts: 5,873

Agreed. It's just too bad this actually happens. When I have a match where everyone is a good sport it's the most wholesome thing and no one really cares who won. I always try to spread a bit of positivity because of that (praising people, giving hatch or gate etc.) but sometimes people just want to be rude. I don't get it.

  • RisingTron
    RisingTron Member Posts: 508

but that doesn't help op lol. It might be the fastest way to get them out, but you're still being BM'd. The best course of action is literally to just not go to the exit gate lol.

The only time I “teabag” at exit gates is if

    1. The killer was griefing and being a toxic ######### during the match (I believe in matching energy)
    2. I will crouch dance a few times in front of killer at exit gate if killer allowed me to leave, just as a way of saying thank you. But I mean, like two crouches and then nod at killer and leave so they know I’m thanking them. 😊

People who do it just to show off that they’re escaping, I think is stupid. Plus a waste of my time. I’d rather just leave and go on to find my next match.

I tell my kids all the time - you can't control what other people do, you can only control how you react to it.

I've never tbagged in my life but I've copped my share of BM in this game, and you just gotta remind yourself that none of it is a personal attack on you. It's someone on the other side of a screen repeatedly pressing a button. Unless you can reach through a screen and stop them, bad manners will always happen in online gaming. It would be awesome if everyone decided to harmonise and empathise, but there are people incapable of that (not to mention kids play this game too and find things funny that they'll (hopefully) eventually grow out of once they gain some life experience).

For your own sanity, remind yourself that it's a game, it's not that deep, and it's not a personal attack on you as a person.

I like this idea, but maybe also add that if a survivor crouches in rapid succession in the exit gate, they become "fatigued" and can no longer stand up and instead have to "crouch walk" but at a slower speed than the normal crouch walk speed and they can be picked up by the killer if caught in that state.

I've found that most people, myself included, can brush off a troll or two and some mild BM-ing every few games or so. But when it's nearly every game and several in a row, it can break you a little.

Funny thing is every survivor in the game who does this or defends it in this thread are the absolute first to cry about it when the killer BMs them on hook. So many can give it but can't take it.
