Just had a Mikaela who sacrificed the whole team to get the hatch
This Mikaela never got hooked and despite having two boon perks she never booned either. She only did one gen and while the killer was busy chasing me and Bill she could have done a second generator and she never saved anyone.

There are a lot of players who do that kind of thing unfortunately. Whether it's because they're new to the game, they're trying to do a Hatch challenge, they think the game is lost and just go into hiding mode, don't like the killer so they just throw the game, or what but it happens a lot. Not much you can do about it except move on.

The thing is this game was won if she was more useful, lol.
And just now my team let me die on first hook although i ran Legion while they got 3-4 gens and 2 of them had no hooks. Such a weird game.

I wish It wasn't. it shouldn't be. No one should be rewarded with an escape if they haven't done anything to earn it. I personally think they need to rework the hatch and how it unlocks to be based around bloodpoint earnings. For instance the hatch will only appear for the final survivor if they managed to score 18k+ during the match. If the final survivor does not have 18k score, then the game immediately goes to endgame collapse.

Yeah but the problem with that is games that last little, or people who have been doing gens, since even if you do 3 gens alone you don't get all that many BP.

Learn from these moments and abandon playing solo que, get some friends, don't even have to be in discord VOIP, and don't que with people you don't know. Relying on random strangers as teammates never works out in any video game you can name.

Yeah, I had a match where I was playing Demogorgon on Swamp and my only chance of winning was holding a 3 gen. I very rarely play Demo so I was expecting to get bodied and my prediction was holding up.
However, everytime the Mikaela was hit she would run away and Self Care behind a tree somewhere without Botany Knowledge. No boon perks either; just Self Care. I have no idea why someone who obviously has CoH would instead bring Self Care without Botany Knowledge. She was an Urban Evader as well so she probably cost her team the game. She was a good looper and knew the map well so I would think she would know the time issue with Self Care vs CoH.
I ate her head at endgame (DH 5 stack) and the only other remaining survivor at endgame got the gate. A bit more efficiency and the whole team would have escaped. She had Balanced Landing as well so maybe a Nea main doing the Tome challenge?

There should be some prerequisite to getting hatch, like safely unhooking 2 people in a match. Then you can enter through hatch or something.

Maybe she came back for the event? Like the only reason I can think of a looper running Self-care is if they don't know it has gotten nerfed. And still it's bad to go in a corner and self-care for 45sec. At least of the vids I've seen when Self-care was still ok, you were supposed to do it mid chase.

It's not the character, it's the player. MIkaela is my main and I'm a team player. I don't know how often I end up being the one who is sacrificed when an exit is already open because I can't bring myself to leave a teammate behind.
Yesterday I had a match with a 3 man swf against a plaque. They have done everything wrong that can be done wrong against this killer, and no, they weren´t new. They were always on the hook. I did gens, I unhooked, I was constantly on the move. In the end it was just me and an ace left, then I got knocked down and the killer left me on the ground looking for the ace. Well, instead of helping me like I've been helping him and his friends the whole game, he hid and wanted to wait for me to bleed out. When the killer realized that Ace wasn't coming to help me, he picked me up and let me wiggle free and then started looking for Ace. But he hid like a rat. At some point I got so bored that I ran into the basement and signaled the killer with a hand sign that he should please down me and hook me.
It's not always just Mikaela's that are the useless part of the match and it´s annoying if some people doodge lobbys just because they see a specific character and assume they are bad. We are not all the same! Thx !

I like Mikaela the survivor, she was the first one I bought once I had 9k Iri shards, it's just that my last few matches with Mikaela have been very iffy.
Even earlier I ran a Legion for 3-4 gens and got hooked not far from the gate. David and Mikaela hadn't been hooked once, Mikaela was running around but she never commited to saving me, we could have all gotten out. Legion wasn't even that good. He didn't know that his power worked only once per target, but in the end he was face camping me. If she had un hooked me I would have body blocked for her with basekit BT. Not all Mikaela's are bad, but for some reason it seems to attract some kind of player? Just like Nea's have the whole toxic neon Nea stereotype, but also the urban evasion stereotype.
Playing with a 3-man or even 2-man SWF is a surefire way to get sacrificed if their teammate got hooked and they cannot prioritize. Like if you get hooked first and their teammate later then you should be saved first because you hit stage 2 or die. I know that kind of pain.

Very possibly. While playing solo queue we just got a 4E on a tunneling, camping Huntress who had BBQ and Chili. Pre 6.1, it would have at least given extra BP to a camper but now if the Killer is not going to leave the hook, why would a camping Killer use BBQ?

It's been opposite with me. Every Mikeala in my match has been the most helpful. It's the Yui's and the David's that haven't been helping in my matches.

David's have also been bothersome. Yui i would say mostly helpful. But David's are usually newbies or they are going for adept and running No Mither.

This is why many people will only SWF and I do understand that.
I pretty much only play solo so I see a lot of this, last match had a Laurie sit on a gen while two of us were on hook and she let us both die while she Self Cared (yes, the actual perk) and then tried to find hatch but failed to do that lol.
If you want to avoid this, then play in a SWF with people you know are half decent
