Thank you for confirming, that was what I assumed but I wasn't sure.
If you do have a chance, could you also answer my question about hyperfocus math? I have tried various ways of figuring out the calculations, I keep coming close but never completely on point.
Thanks again and have a good day! 🙂

Does it factor in people getting matched with those people? For example, let's say the soft cap is 1700. Technically a killer who is 1700 could be matched with a 2500 SWF kill squad. Is that still counted in these statistics? Or are we only looking at matches where the ACTUAL MMR is close?

Do you mean to ask if we're only looking at matches where the MMR of killer and survivors are close to each other? I wouldn't think so, I think we are just looking at matches where the average MMR is within the Top 5% of all matches.

Out of curiosity is the 1600 soft cap roughly also where the 5% bracket lands right now? My extremely speculative guess was the soft cap is around 6% assuming a normal distribution with mean 1000 and SD 400 but I've always kind of wondered if that's close. 🙂

There's no way the softcap is only 6%. Everyone and their mother is 1600+ on killer.

You're 100% wrong.

That is statistically impossible. It's a zero-sum game.
