Rise in BM during event?
Has anyone else noticed this during the event? During my Killer games, I've seen a large increase in tbaggy survivors at pallets. I don't camp or tunnel and always alternate hooks unless BM'ed so I normally saw tbaggy survivors once or twice a month for the last few months. Now it's 2 to 3 games per night I see them.
My theory is that they're older players from a very survivor sided time in DbD who have returned for the event because they know how to loop but they're tbagging me after dropping a pallet even though I'm mainly playing the Artist, they're injured and they didn't land the pallet stun.
Dropping them with crows while they're teabagging seems to cure them of that for the rest of the game but it's odd I'm seeing so many bad sports.
Anyone else seen a rise?

It's not just survivors I have seen a lot of BM on killer side to. Me I don't BM the killer cause I hate it when I do occasionally play killer. This event has brought out the worse in people.

Yes killers have definitely gotten more toxic, especially after DC penalties were returned yesterday. I'm just glad I got all the event items when DC Penalties were off because all the sweats stopped playing because they know people wouldn't stay in their boring games so It was just baby killers.

I haven't seen a big increase in BM from the Killers in my solo games. However, I definitely have seen an increase in camping and tunneling ever since the event started. You're both experiencing a bunch of BM though as well from the Killers?
Edit: I was just going to add it makes sense some of them seemed newer as well. From my own experiences, who is going to teabag an Artist at a pallet unless they're very unfamiliar with her power?

I have seen from Killers:
Slapping people continuously on the hook, blocking rifts, slugging and camping even more.
Survivors:
Not helping people on hooks, not healing people, letting people either get to 2nd phase or complete phase and dead.
Both sides are bad during this event.

It wouldn’t be a DBD event without toxic killers and survivors. Gotta love it :)

I've actually seen less toxicity this event, and more players being chill. I'll count myself lucky, I guess.

Honestly, I don't even register the survivors as tea-bagging when they crouch in the game. It doesn't bother me. Why does it bother others so much?

I think it's because the way the event is designed. It kind of encourages BM on some stuff. Don't get me wrong it's a unique event but what's killing it is both sides lose points when either hitting and hooking survivors and stunning the killer with pallets. If they took away the theft aspect it would in my opinion make the game less sweaty on both sides. I could be wrong but that's what I think.

I don't like it when people give me the middle finger either which tbagging is equivalent to. Call me crazy that way
Honestly, I think you're probably correct.

Actually most killers have been kind enough to let me get rift during a chase, survivors on the other hand have let people go struggle to get a rift or kick a pumpkin,, as if solo q wasn't in a rough spot to begin with

Im back after a year of being gone, and maybe my MMR isn't increasing or something because I haven't encountered much of this stuff. But it definitely happens, no more or less than I expect it to, though.

I didn't notice anything, only started early September.

I've been counting since the event started, and on average, I get 1-2 DCs per game every 4-7 games (regardless of killer or survivor) I don't know why, they loop a Wesker (or me) for 2 two gens, they go down, and they DC faster before you can even get the blood off your screen. Or you manage to dodge a Nemesis whip or stun a Spirit during face and boom, instant DC. Which sucks, cuz it ruins the fun for EVERYONE.
Edit: This has only been happening to me AFTER the event started, every other match has been normal.

I haven't seen any particular BM since the event, on either side. But I only played during the first days so maybe once people got their cosmetics they turned to crime.

Haven't really seen more than usual, probably because the event itself has limited meat for the "play for salt" gremlins to feast on. Not really any equivalent to immediately dropping chase to catch + Bubba facecamp the glowy survivor you see in the distance, or just doing nothing but sabo event hooks like in previous ones.

I think it's in part because events bring in more occasional/casual players for a limited time, and many of them either don't know etiquette, or don't care.
I personally don't think killers are generally as BM-y as survs (or at least they have fewer BM options in game), but I have noticed an uptick in nonsense like hitting on hook during the event, as seems to be typical of events.

this is exactly why I personally do not attack survivors at rifts and stop to wait. playing survivor during this event just sucks, too much selfishness.

See the killers I have gone against hit me as soon as I try to inject my points into the rift. So I don't get to deposit them. Those of you who have gotten lucky to have a killer that allows you to be thankful. Like I said before please just let me deposit my points then you can hook me and kill me whatever I don't care just let me have my points 🥺

Not really. It's been chill.

Sorry, there a lot of dbd players with absolutely zero chill.

How do I say this in a way that won't get people all over me? DBD events in general bring out the sweats of this game because bullying baby killers and tunnelling people at 5 gens for pressure is apparently fun

This happens every event. It's par for the course at this point.

I have never seen a killer slap me on the hook during my 2000h of DBD.

I have. It's rare but it happens. It probably happens more in other regions.

its because so many people come back only for the event, there also are mor BM sweathards too.

My (admittedly few) killer games the past few days have been mostly against well-organized teams who made me run around like a fool for a good while. It was all in very good spirit, even the couple of games where I got 0K (despite actually trying). Guiding me to their boons in endgame collapse, giving me hits and gifting me their items, being cute in endgame chat.
Bless the players who let the event bring out their festive spirit :)
