Poor Legion
I just had 3 matches where people DCed because it was Legion. That's sad. I don't understand why the DC. It's fun going against Legion even if I do get my butt handed to me lol. #LegionNeedsLoveToo

Legion is fun to go against. Clear counterplay. Mostly an m1 killer. I don't understand the issue.

I don't play Legion anymore because I know exactly how awful he is to face.
It's why I wanted him reworked instead of buffed. His design is never going to be interactive and fun for both sides.

I haven't played much this event but the 2 dcs I did get were both against legion. Both because of 5 hit chain.
First time was a small map and we all spawned in close together and legion found us right away, survivor downed dcd.
Second was a 3 man spawn inside badham. Dwight went outside and got frenzied quickly and despite our efforts by going different directions, me and the other survivor were downstairs on that gen at the frenzy start so we quickly made a 3 count. 4th survivor was far away but the not so clever Dwight finished his mend right outside. Proceeds to dc after completing the chain. That legion farmed with us for a bit and let us get our cosmetics done before killing us. What a nice homicidal maniac that Frankie was!

Because survivors don't know what they want.
They dont want to face legion cause the games are to long and that's boring but they also dont want to face nurse or Blight because the games are so short cause it's either slam gens or get slammed
People want to face killer they can loop and loop and play with but without an actual risk to die

I feel like it's not that unreasonable to want a middle ground between mending sim and nurse sim

Is Legion generally easy to go against? For sure.
Is Legion fun to face? Hell no.
They're a boring killer (to face) with a power just strong enough to be really annoying but too weak to be really menacing. The matches are long, and a good portion of them are spent mending. Fun to play as, but they're in the unique spot of being a killer that can easily be beaten, but few want to face.
Now all that said, there's zero excuse for DCing.

Like I understand why some people would get annoyed at like blights, nurses and pinhead if they're like a solo player. But dc to legion is really weird to me cause they're like one of the most easiest powers to play against, especially with how problematic maps have gotten as of late.
You all just go on a different corner of the map, if you find another survivor either tell them to go away by pointing or simply leave the area and go spread the gen progress instead. Which is super effective especially with the current set of meta gen regression perks that don't do well against survivors who spread progress around.

Mending simulator games are just not fun. I am not condoning the dc'ing but most people just find Legion so tedious to face.

Legion is probably my least favorite as I see them a lot more than I see Nurse or Blight, but even then I just endure the match to whatever degree I can, try to get better against killers I absolutely despise, etc.
The thought of dc'ing just does nothing for me. It gets me out of the match sure, but then I'd have to wait to queue again? I'd rather just play it out or die on hook at 2nd stage if things start to look rough and go next.

Also most legion players run 3 slowdown and make the match last way longer than it needs to

That's funny. I've had three Legions DC against me this week after 5 gens popped at 0K.
The last few updates have not been kind to Legion. Most of my other favorite killers won a hundred games in a row after 6.1.0 and had to have their MMR adjust. Legion is the only one who seems to actually be performing worse.
Ruin/Undying/Pentimento/Thana used to be such an unstoppable build on Legion. He doesn't have anything comparable anymore.

Weirdly when i play legion I haven't had any DCs recently. Legion is strong but there are obvious counter plays. And tbh ragequitting off a 5 hit frenzy chain is childlish. 5 hit chains are either a very skillful play from legion or a huge misplay by the survs. Either way legion deserves the down.

I don't think there can be that middle ground because how would you change up legion without either changing them completely wich sucks for legion mains or make them weak af.
You need to keep that fast running stabbing thing cause that's legion and one of the reasons they where my first killer I bought. But for that to work you need the mending as a time consumer or its not viable

It's not a position I envy, but I think it does need to happen.

If people just do gens then he’s tolerable, mending simulator for 10 minutes is just insufferable when you’re still on 4 gens because your solo queue teams allergic to gens which is 90% of his rounds that’s just insufferable

Personally I don’t hate legion but I find playing against him to be obnoxious. As many have already said, it’s boring. I don’t want to spend the entire match doing nothing but mending for 10 minutes. My goal in a match is to maximize my BP and enjoy the chase and having to think and strategize on my feet with a killer. If I die cool, as long as I enjoy the match but I never do with Legion.
I enjoy playing against a Myers or a Nemesis or even a nurse because they’re genuinely scary and fun. But legion is just the most boring killer. When I hear his music I’m not nervous and excited, I just think “Oh god this annoying dude.” Time to mend myself to death for 10-15 minutes. Just feels like a boring waste of my time.

I wonder what could replace mending without making Legion's gameplay too different.
- Broken status ? A lot of good players already don't heal against Legion, and it would greatly reduce Legion's gen pressure.
- Incapacitated ? A bit much, and it would not solve the problem since survivors hate Incapacitated and it would go from "mending simulator" to "waiting simulator".
- Action speed debuff, like Gift of Pain ? That could be something if it was anything more than anecdotical, but it would also make the games long.
I really wonder how BHVR would rework Legion is necessary.
I personally don't see a problem with Legion right now, most of my games as survivor against them are not that long because they usually stomp uncoordinated teams, and most games when I play him similarly last within 10 minutes.

I mean they need work but I be totally honest with you if they would change them completely and do a Freddy move I would probably quit. Not because I am mad that I can't tormented survs with something they hate but because I lost something I only bought because I liked how it was and your are right I think no one here envys the devs caus no matter what you do you spit in the face of one group

Legion is the worst designed killer they've ever released in my opinion. I have no interest in playing against this killer. Don't know what on earth they were thinking when they increased the game delay and downing capability of Feral Frenzy. They don't have a good feel for making things fun for both sides anymore.
