I miss underground complex and I'm sick of sheltered woods

Will we ever see the complex come back? Just remove the stranger things association.

Also, slippery meat should give at least one free attempt to be viable, in my opinion.

I loved that map from either side. I hope we someday get it back in some form.

I loved it too. The bad pallets, the closed doors (before gens popped) and the second floor were the only problems this map had. But if the devs knew how to make it balanced (because they don't) for a new chapter, it would be perfect.

The less indoor maps the better in my opinion. I hate all of them

It sucked just like every other indoor map and anyone saying they liked it mains stealth killers, is inexperienced, or on some serious copium.

This is a pretty dope idea. Guess we have to make do with the little carnival corner on chapel on crotus penn for the moment.

I hope this map never comes back, because I will refuse to play on it, and just go afk every time when it comes up... There were like 3-4 solid pallets and all other were unsafe, tracking and using your power on many killers was basically impossible as you could not see scratchmarks in the distance or crows and it even had times when you needed to go around the whole room because you didnt know which doors were open, just a terrrible map and another example why indoor maps in general are bad in this game as they remove basic tracking tools a killer has..

Use the blueprint from sheltered woods and turn it into a different map like a graveyard or church something. Same for rotten fields, could be reworked into a funfair or again, a church with graveyard.

Each to their own but boy I was thrilled when that map got killed off. Hated it with a passion personally and hope it never comes back

Give it some sort of main building maybe, instead of a giant deadzone tree in the middle XD I like the graveyard idea, but we already have eyrie :/ and the chapel is basically a church already, so both already happened... maybe just more consistent rock loops in the middle? Or even a fence around the big tree to make it like some sight seeing object? Biggest tree in the forest for exampel and just put some windows and pallets around it... Without recreating haddonfield fence problem though...

    ^ this.

As Survivor it was a pain to play, because the Killer can just respect around 95% of the Pallets and will get a Hit afterwards because they are too weak.

And whenever I played Billy, the first game I ended up on Hawkins. Great...

In general, I never understood why so many people say they miss this map. When it was around, there were a lot of complaints about it from both sides. But I guess it is just a case of people wanting the things they cannot have.

I have so many fond memories of that map. I miss it. Nemesis, Demodog and Myers were fun to go against.

They should have reskinned it as a Resident Evil lab and launched it with Wesker rather than waste their time on RPD to make it worse.

    I always liked Hawkins.

If there's ever a ST2 Chapter, I hope we get Starcourt or the Gulag.

Hawkins was a great map. It was the one map where blindly gen rushing or insta throwing a pallet was NOT the best thing to do. You had to actually think while playing. If the survivors left the portal room gen and the upstairs gen for last, the killer would not be able to stop the final gen from being completed. Both sides could turn the tables into their favor at any point, it just came down to who was better. Had so much fun playing Hawkins as both survivor and killer.

Blindlessly Gen rushing is never good as most maps can make it rough on you when you accidentally 3 gen yourself... But the worst cases of 3 gens are still on Onis Map, Azarovs resting place, suffocation pit and probably some more are really rough, because it is so easy to 3 gen on those maps... The map was terrible, basically every loop was an easy hit for the killer... there are like a total of 5 pallets that were not complete trash and the other ones were basically a guaranteed hit unless the killer really messed up...

I loved Hawkins and also miss it. Quite liked the rats, the noises and the upper level

Back when I was new to DBD that was the most terrifying solo queue map. It was the most maze like out of all the indoor maps and the upper level was panic inducing.

There are other maps where trying to just blindly do gens will bring you in trouble: Azarovs resting place, suffocation pit, Onis Map, they are all quite easy to 3 gen... And in indoor maps the issue is just that people will loose orientation and therefore not always be sure which gens were already completed..
