The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Who would be in a Friday the 13th Chapter?

Obviously Jason is a guarantee and Tommy seems likely, but I think this is a big enough license to get two survivors. I think the other would be one of the bigger final girls, maybe Trish or Ginny.

It'd be cool to add someone not already in f13 the game to make up for not getting any more updates to that, I heard Reggie from part 5 was almost in the game, maybe the adult versions of Tommy and Reggie team up to take down their childhood tormentor

Can they even get the rights? I am pretty sure illfonic still owns the rights to that for a few more years.

First chapter to have two killers maybe? Jason and Pamela? Would be strenuous on BHVR unfortunately.

It'd depend on the licensors, but I'd imagine it'd be Jason Voorhees and Tommy Jarvis.

Pamela would be fun IMO, but she's only in one film and currently isn't the same intellectual property as adult serial killer Jason. Roy is out of the running by virtue of nobody outside of hardcore fans really knowing about him. Also (as much as I personally like certain parts of it) Part V was probably the second worst film in the entirety of the franchise: which is quite an accomplishment honestly.

There are also plenty of iconic and interesting Final Girls in the franchise; Alice, Tina, and Chris stand out in particular to me, but Tommy has a personal and mutual enmity with Jason, is in 3 separate films (more than any other character in the franchise besides Jason), and stands out by virtue of being a rare Final Boy. If they pick any one character from the series to be a Survivor they'll almost certainly pick Tommy.

Heck if I know what power they'd give Jason though. He's a Myers-esque stealth Killer in most of the films, but turns into an undead Terminator in the later ones. And his most iconic feature is the variety of ways he kills people - something I don't think could translate well to DbD.

Honestly, he's a bit like Freddy in that I don't think DbD's gameplay format can really do him justice. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

It wouldn't happen but I would kill for Violet from part V to be a survivor, I need more survivors that are explicitly from alternative subcultures, think all we have at the minute is Nea who is pretty explicitly suggested to be a punk.

Theeeeeeere's a man with no life in his eyes!

I will also throw in my support for Violet as a Survivor, despite it being impossible.

I think it'd be hilarious if they got the license to Friday the 13th but only the first movie so the killer would be Mrs Voorhees instead of Jason.

I think if Jason ever did come to DBD he could be the scariest killer in the game if they did it right. No terror radius and have an ability where he's able to teleport near or even behind survivors. Just seeing Jason standing still in random places would be terrifying. Maybe even work that into how he plays. The map should be camp crystal lake of course.

As for survivors, I really don't know. Its been so long since I've seen the movies so I don't really remember them too well. Since there are so many to choose from I would say maybe have the chapter come with 2 survivors with 1 being from the original 1980 film and the other from the 2009 reboot.

This guy, and it's only him. No killer, no map. Just him.

Illfonic doesn't have sole right on anything video game related to the IP.

Friday the 13th: the game's existence won't stop dbd from licensing the franchise unless the IP holder New Line Cinema says no.
