Balanced Landing

Who else thinks Balanced Landing is the best exhaustion perk right now. Right now you get a sprint, the Killers don't expect you have BL and you always have no stun after jumping. This perk really helps me a lot in chases, even on Tier 1.

It's fantastic on maps with large amounts of verticality, and good for losing the killer. And then you get sent to a launch map with one crappy hill again and again. That's why it isn't as popular as Sprint Burst and is the least used exhaustion perk.

Yeah but I also don't use Sprintburst because you have the walk the whole time. I always sprint ingame because I am not that patient xD. I use BL most of the time, or Lithe. Those are my 2 favourite Exhaustion Perks.

Yes, I usually use Lithe because it's useful on just about every map and also synergizes with Dance With Me to help you escape. I'd use Balanced Landing if every map was designed with it in mind, but only maybe a third of them are.

Welcome to Shelter Woods, the only map in the game when you have Balanced Landing on.

You could jump into the basement. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Don't rule that out as a juke point. I've lost the Killer a time or two because I ditched into the basement instead of looping the Shack. They misplayed and ended up wandering off in search of me elsewhere. I've also been juked there a couple times, and now I know to doublecheck the stairs to see if a Survivor is crouched there hiding.

I meant "jump into the basement" as a joke to trigger Balanced Landing. Well, I never tried that, so maybe it'll work? haha
But ofc you're right. Always do the unexpect. Maybe I'll try that too.

I tried it too, it works pretty well sometimes

Each Exhaustion-related perk -in my opinion- has its own play style attached. Generally, you don’t see running 4 exhaustive perks at once; So it kind of “locks you in”, in regards to: “Where should I run if a Killer spots me?”

Although lately, I have been playing a lot of Nea lately- with Balanced Landing of course.

I usually use the exhaustion perks tied to the survivor. So I’ll use sprint burst on Meg, lithe on Feng, and balanced landing on Nea. On all the other survivors I’ll switch depending on what I feel like doing at the moment. If I have an offering for a farm map or a jigsaw piece I’ll use BL. Lithe is best in the hospital.

I love Lithe, but lately it hasn't been activating for me. I'll be chased by a killer, sometimes taking a hit, and seeing the stain behind me. I'll turn a corner, vault a window, and it doesn't consider me in the chase anymore. The problem is the killer is still so close, I get caught right away, and the perk doesn't help me even put distance in. I think it's somehow connected to line of sight for some reason.

There's something in the latest update that caused this. I've been having the same issue with it. I dislike Sprint Burst, preferring to have more control over my Exhaustion, and Lithe has been acting weird. It feels like the Killer has to be almost breathing down your neck for it to proc properly.

Sprint burst is still superior atm.
But Balanced Landing sure got great. I was already using it pre-patch, now it's a charm.
