If games with DCs were actually counted in stats...
What do you guys think the kill rate would be? Obviously it would be higher than it is now but how much higher do you guys think it actually is?

Close to 70% across the board, methinks. Perhaps even over it for (a) specific killer(s).

Anecdotal, but I escape in maybe 25% of my solo games, mostly because of DCs and quitters. Would not be surprised if the solo queue kill rate is 70%+

This has been my thought/experience too. Interesting to see how others see the situation too.

I vaguely remember Peanits saying something along the lines of disconnects making for a difference of around 5%. Although I'm not sure whether this was before the instant DC penalties came into effect. 5% sounds about right though.
Would definitely love to see much more detailed stats. Why not give us graphs showing kill rates through the entire MMR range, and then further separated into solo, duo, trio, quad, different killers, and maps.

Well its not like current stats are accurate anyway so adding dcs would screw it up even more.

So you guys really think they exclude games from the stats, where even just 1 surv DCs?
Or kills himself early on the hook?

Probably far above 70%, people are just dying in droves now. Guess that's what they wanted.

I doubt they would show the data, it would only highlight how useless their penalties are.
Much like why you can't see mmr.
You can't complain about versing high mmr if you can't see it.

Definitely. As soon as someone DCs it screws up the data. The killing themselves early on hook probably can't be detected but it's one of the reasons why BHVR has aimed for a 60% kill rate. A survivor DCing early throws the odds to the Killer side. If BHVR balanced around a 50% win rate that would functionally be 40% or 45% against a group where all 4 survivors tried and unfair and frustrating to the Killers. So, to compensate for survivors killing themselves on hooks BHVR has to aim for an overall kill rate higher than 50% so that a game where all four survivors stick around can have even odds.

they already said themselves that they don't include any games where a dc occurs.

No matter when the DC happens in the game? Could you give me a link to that?

Not that different tbh, alot of survivors just suicide on hook anyway which are counted...
And honestly I still havent heard the devs say the whole game is void after a DC, they just keep saying the DC is void so as far as we know the other 3 could be counted.

This is what Peanits said.

Thank you. I was just looking for this when I got the notification <3

If a DC happens in a game, even if it's the last survivor DCing as they're hooked, the game isn't counted in most data sets they collect. If people kill themselves on hook, it -is- counted, presumably because they have no way of differentiating between that and someone just genuinely trying to escape or failing their skill checks.

Yes all dc matches are exluded no matter does the dc happen late or early. But hook suicides do count in stats as those are sacrifices.

Thankyou, I have asked multiple times and never got that response lol.
Though this means alot of games are void even if survivors win, glad they arent actually included. Now if only we could not count games people give up and throw... thatd be interesting to see
