PSA: Actually read Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine before you use it...
Seems a LOT of Killers lately are running Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine and then.. facecamping. Like, are you not reading the perk correctly? It's a perk encouraging you to NOT FACECAMP. It rewards you for NOT FACECAMPING. If you are facecamping, it literally deactivates the perk.

I've never encountered a killer using it wrong. Few use it though
This perk is really nice to punish gens-before-friends. The amount of kills I've got with survivors being slightly too late for a save is quite surprising.

Yea, I play with a streamer friend and while the perk is rare, we keep seeing facecampers... then at end game we look at their perks and there is "Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine" and it's like... Bro.. did you misread the perk, or are you just wasting a perk slot for the luls?

This gives me the same vibes of those survivors accusing me of camping.... when I mori'd them all with Devour Hope.

Well, yes and no. I Get what you are saying, but no I mean literally with someone who is runnng Kindred in the party, if you constantly see the killer near the hooked survivor, they are too close to the hook to get any MS value... I mean I play both sides, and I use MS sometimes, so that's why I am making this post because it's baffling how often I see killers literallly facecamping while running MS... Now, maybe the survivor isn't on an actual Scourge Hook, but... either way, it's obvious from my friend who runs Kindred that this killer is staying way too close to the hook to be getting MS value.

I meant this about people not really reading how the perks work haha.
But yeah, I've seen a few MS lately, which is nice. A bit more variety :) I didn't see any of them camp really though, but I wouldnt be surprised. MS is a general perk a lot of people sit on, so it kind of falls into the category of perks you feel like you obviously know the effects of but could be wrong on a detail !

If you read it you know you would not play it unless you heavy relly on your other Scourge Hooks or you just play all 4 of them. That perk just adds extra location for Scourge Hook and the other effect is usualy garbage anyway.

Pretty much this.
I'd imagine facecamping Bubbas get value out of it via Pain Res on a basement hook. Maybe Floods in the case a rescue is made, particularly if it's not a Bubba who's facecamping.

I mean yes, that would make sense but I am talking about killers who bring MS as their only scourge hook it's like... Bro, did you even read the perk?
