so, instead of.....

idk maybe improving the servers, hitboxes, hard tunneling, facecamping or killers with bad ping are having an advantage in this game....you decided to take away locker fl saves which happens in what? maybe once in 200 or 300 games? Yes, THAT was really necessary.

Whats next? survivors spawn broken and last hook state?

Game is actually dying slowly since MMR or the perk overhaul which didnt change anything on killer side either.

Good job. Keep it going

so, saying this changes are unnecessary and there are way more important things in the game to change/deal with, is overreacting? ok

I agree too, and this is one of the problems with how the game is maintained by the developers, they never implement changes that affect both sides at the same time, for example they changed Ruin and left toolboxes and repair efficiency the same until some patches later, they nerfed Moris and left Keys for a year (and implemented the "spawn Hatch here" offerings in the meanwhile which made Keys even worse).

Locker saving should be fixed as its uncountereable and usually used by bully squads to troll the Killer at the same time Solo and facecamping need some fixing that should have come with 6.1 but it didnt, this leaves a very sour taste in a lot of players because its perceived as favoritism.

Precisely because it rarely ever happened, I don't really care about this change ?

I think if it basically never happened unless to have fun harassing the killer, it's a prime example of a nice change that doesn't affect regular gameplay but prevent those edge cases.

Why not look at things in an optimistic way ? 🤗

Perhaps this change could have been placed after other, more important ones, certainly ... but it remains true that it is more than welcome 🤗

I mean, this has been in the game for quite some time.

    It's not exactly a bug.

If it only happens every 200 games why does it matter if it is being removed?

The locker saveflash is not a bug, but let's just say it's a mechanic that the killer can't avoid, unlike the classic saveflash which, depending on where the survivor falls, can be avoided 🤔

If survivors can easily abuse it, it should stay...because otherwise DBD is dying?

I get survivors are the majority of the playerbase by design, but there should come a time in which you realize your bias is skewing your perception of balance.

Its a slippery slope but one DBD Devs are forcing the game to take by constantly punishing solo queue which is probably their biggest playerbase and making the game increasingly harder for newer players. They need to start fixing their game and stop with these random uncalled for changes. The reason they’re getting rid of locker saves is because a dev was playing killer as they normally do usually getting 4ks so they’re pleased but a dev got stunned picking someone out of a locker and immediately changed the game so survivors couldn’t get flash light saves from lockers. That is literally why we keep getting these random anti survivor updates because devs only play killer and find things they don’t like so they change them never the opposite.

Obviously it is something that needed to be fixed. In the rare situations it happened there was zero counterplay, which is never a good feeling.

But yeah, there are definitely so many more pressing things that need fixing.

In no specific order: Eruption, some portions of maps being either too strong or too weak for either side, Nurse (rework or nerf), Prove Thyself, Bloodwebs (auto-fill button...when...it is constantly asked for), Medkits/Toolboxes stacking being too strong, Healthy Hook Grabs (remove...such a no-brainer change), Dead Hard motion activating and yet still dying, first hook tunneling being the strongest strat...super nerf this skilless play, and buff unique hooks so winning this way is the best way for killer to play...why has this not been done yet?

    Just a few, right?

Bro compared a pebble to a boulder

Why are people overreacting over a change to lockers, it was changed due to the possibility of it happening as it resulted in a lose-lose to anyone dealing with it

They'll probably undo the change if enough people cry like infants about having their binky taken away

OP... All of those examples are way harder to deal with...

    Just adapt and keep playing

"The game is dying." They say as the player count is doing its best outside of summer.

"The devs don't care." While each update looks better and better for the game's health.

"Nothing changed for killer." Right after they mention an overhaul that turned the killer experience from something miserable into the best it has ever been.

The game is clearly not dying. There is no evidence whatsoever to prove that.

The balance has been the best it's been for some time, and the devs have been more proactive towards making changes thay do contribute to an overall balance. And although MMR has its issues, it is better than it was before, and they are making changes to make it more representative.

I do agree with hitboxes and servers (in respect to hits) but that's a lot harder than people give it credit for. The Huntress hatchets could be improved though.

And they've also introduced changes to make tunnelling and face-camping less rewarding, both with in-game mechanics and perks. Ultimately, if killers want to do it, they can. But things have been put in place to make it less enticing, and also survivors need to take some responsibility in making safe saves.

The game could always do with improvements, but the devs have made many legitimately helpful improvements, and even when they don't come up with a good idea (please don't make the mori change devs!), at least the reasoning behind it actually made sense. But it's not dying.

Won't lie, I wouldn't mind it dying off a bit so other asymmetrical games have a better shot. Some of the recent ones have a solid base for a game compared to this one (but they certainly need polishing) but get player starved quickly as DBD throws out some licenses and blood point events to starve the other game's player base before it can grow. First Halloween event that actually feels a little like an event and it only happened cause they want to make sure Evil Dead, Ghostbusters, Propnight, VHS, and any others popping up die. And weirdly the DBD fanbase celebrates their deaths when their existence in the only reason DBD actually did a few things this year instead of coasting off licenses for their declining player base.

There are many cases of locker flashlight blinds being abuseable, mainly anywhere that has two lockers directly adjacent to each other. The changes were a nice change to stop this.

So guaranteed flashlights just aren't an issue to you? This over exaggerating of "survivors should just spawn on hook!" needs to stop.

Any kind of positive change is a step in the right direction. Big or small.

Devs do something good and people whine "omg you should have done this instead! Wah!"

This bad attitude is one reason the devs don't share much with us anymore... Nothing is ever good enough 😔

I rather see small positive changes then nothing at all waiting for one big change for years.
