DC 30 - 40% of matches
i dont have to say much around 30 - 40% of my matches has 1 dc or a suicide on first hook...
Now i dont really care about why since we all know why survivors just died out after one patch eehmm a few months ago ;)
Either way is anyone else experiencing a sh*t ton of DCs and survivors who cries and cant cope with a bad first chase that they would rather DC and sit 5 minutes in the lobby?? And no im not being sarcastic when i say 30 - 40% its literally every other match

Oh wow. I've had only one person DC in the last 3 or so weeks - and I've been playing pretty much every night. I've been wondering if it's a regional thing, like maybe gaming is taken more seriously in some places than others, so those folk tend to take getting downed first more personally? It must be something

in 500 games i had 7 disconnecting survivors and 10 killers.
when you have it basically in half of your games, you might be the reason why.

Nurse, Blight and black ward every game?

As Killer not so much but I play Myers and we all know who are the usual suspects who get most suicides and DCs, I barely play Survivor nowadays to even take my data as anything but anecdotal.

I haven't had many DCs (though it was tempting at times) recently, only one this morning : teammate immediately DC'd upon hearing the killer was Spirit. It didn't help that said Spirit then decided the best plan of action in a pretty much already won 3v1 was to hit on hook and tunnel like an inebriated mole. To assert dominance over us beginner solos, no doubt. She eventually DC'd as well after 3 min of slugging the last two survivors alive and attentively following them as they crawled around.
Nothing like a good awful solo survivor game to make you want to go back to the more enjoyable role ! I got many boops in the following game. :)

I don't have it as much. HOWEVER. my friend just bought dbd and started as killer. about 90% of the games i see are people quitting or killing themselves on the hook. Obv her mmr is low because shes brand new so shes being matched with lower skilled players. BUT it's not the new people shes facing. shes facing people that are new sure, BUT she's seeing people over lvl 20 prestige etc. So it isn't just new players. It's so frequent

Had a survivor last second switch to flashight a few days ago. Happened to find them first. They DC'd right after I downed them.
Was playing Trapper.

I am on forums right now waiting out my penalty cus I disconnected from a match lol. one of my teammates (once again) dropped at 5 gens because they went down fast by the killer. I rather take a penalty, since I am forced to either play a 3v1, or go to the killer and give up, which is exhausting constantly doing this. The only thing that bothers me is that MY mmr drops cause we are forced to play a match that has a very small possibility of winning. its not fair that we're getting punished for our teammates. And sometimes the killer decides to show pity, and they will farm with us if they feel bad, which I dont like either. I wanna ggs go next, so disconnecting is the fastest. Btw, if I am the killer and the player decides to give up on hook because theyre salty, I let them bleed out <3. waste someone elses time, not ours. don't queue up if you gonna be a child. Usually their teammates agree with me and tbag their bodies on the ground

Eh, I play mostly survivor and I see surv DCs in at least a third of my games, often on first hook/down, regardless of who or how the killer is playing. And I see survs disconnect at like a 20:1 (and I'm being conservative there) rate compared to killers, which is kind of to expected, given it's a 4v1 game.
So I would strongly disagree that's it's a "being driven to DC/suicide on hook by toxic/unfun play", and much, much more a temper tantrum rage quit issue the vast majority of the time.

Your probably in "mmr hell". My teammates almost never dc but killers dc sometimes when we're destroying them I have caused personally killers to dc few times in october just by looping them and using 99 sprint burst. But when I play 3 man swf our solo teammate dc sometimes probably because my friends are in lower mmr and they dc sometimes when killer hard tunnels.

Nah, I have occasionally dropped into surv MMR hell and it is definitely worse down there, but ragequitting is one of the universal things I have seen in all gameplay throughout all my time in DBD, from when I was a baby potato until I got pretty good. I see it the same rate (well, surv DCs anyway) as killer as well, and I don't play low MMR killer, and I don't tunnel or camp (well, barely).
As matter of fact, I see DCs more often from players who seem good than players who are obviously awful. Potatoes tend to accept their fates, ego makes people DC. Most of the mass DCs I've seen from the killer side was against good teams in sweaty matches when it became clear I was going to win.
I think the same applies to killers who aren't used to losing when they get dominated.
You see the same all the time in streamer matches, too. And again, given player distribution, even if all players DC at the same rate, you're going to see more survs DC simply because there are a lot more of them.
And SWF is kind of a different animal, since friends are less likely to bail on each other (I see this as killer where it's obvious the survs are a SWF; they either hang in even when getting dominated, or DC all at once).
So imo people who consistently play in even partial SWFs aren't really seeing a representative sample. It's only logical that SWF players wouldn't see nearly as many surv DCs. In solo queue it's a damned surv dc fest.
I'd be interested to see if BHVR has DC rates by MMR level.

yea i think ego is the main problem... People join expect to play flawlessly gets a BS down and a ######### first chase and just decides to dip out
1 -
yea its when they go down absurdly quick. Like they do a bad chase and dies faster than they expected themselves to go down and just decides to dip... Its not like they leave mid match or at the end its literally when they are the first down. Now i havent played killer in a long time but it also happens that killers DC but they are much more tolerant

yea i can imagine lower ranks especially killers DCing. I usually play with prestige 20 - 40s (doesnt necessairly reflect their mmr) and they are the ones that DC not the lower ones.

Yea but its one thing to DC becuase you have bad teammates i mean i remember DCing one match where 2 of my teammates died to a spirit within a span of like 30 sec... But when i have DCs its when they take the first chase and goes down quick. I dont know why but i would imagine its because they expect to chase for several gens gets mind gamed or something and dies within like 30 40 sec so they just decide that the match isnt worth playing...
And yes we can probably blame the MMR because no matches are equal or well balanced. Its never any good killers like skilled ones and rarely any good survivors but sometimes you get like 12000 hour gods its no consistency at all (now this example is a little overexaggerate but its not even remotely close to the balanced i had with the pip system)

It’s so bad right now lol. I had a series of matches ruined by quitters a few days ago and haven’t played since. You just can’t trust people not to ruin the match in solo queue.

In my last 229 killer matches I have had 39 DCs. I don't specifically count hooks suicides but I would say they are probably 2-3x as likely as a DC if I had to guess so that would be around 18% give up rate at max

I'm on 100% of games today has had this so...
I dunno I'm getting fed up of this garbage, I just want to play a normal game but I cant and the game just keeps punishing me for it.

can you guys add what killer you play and what server you are on? I'm on EU (frankfurt) and honestly don't see that many disconnects.
0 -
Yeah most disconnects are salty survivors that are upset they get outplayed. I used to do it when I was newer and could care less about the other 3 players. I only DC now if someone does it first (not doing 3v1s or farming matches). And Idc how bad someone is, just play the mf game and get better

What a horrible thing to say.

I don't understand how that is possible. I've started playing on a schedule to help with burnout a bit, but in my matches I haven't had a DC in almost a month. I've been playing Wraith and Wesker almost exclusively during this time.
