I feel forced to buy Kate Denson for the perk Windows of Opportunity, do you guys have any tips?
I find extremely hard to avoid getting downed when i am repairing a gen that is in the middle of nowhere (no pallets or windows nearby), even if a juke the baby killer 3 or 4 times in a row, his walking speed will just get me, i just find so frustating open areas in general for survivors.
Facing killers like Ghost face, Myers Tier 1, and Pig is basically impossible do avoid the 1st hit, the fact that the perk Object of Obsession just get countered when those killers are on stealth mode is annoying. My major problem as a Survivor is that i can't spot the pallets and even windows when i am being chased most of the times.
I don't feel like the maps are intuitive at all, takes time and experience for the survivor to know that some things are and will always be the same (Killer shack for example and some specific long loops for each map), i play solo most of the time, and if feel obliged to do the generators because nobody else will do, but at the same time if i do that, the others survivor are going to waste every single important pallet in the map and when i need it, i will not have a chance escape or waste the killer time at all.
So yeah, i feel like the game is unfortunately very luck based on solo queue at least, and as i try to improve as a survivor, i don't really have a chance to be creative with the perks, instead i feel forced to prioritize buying some characters over others just to have some perks that i can't really play without.
I got rank 1 as Killer and Survivor, and i feel that as a Survivor i still have a lot to learn because of the randoness of solo queue. Sorry for the long post, i hate reading long posts as well.

I empathize. Kate was one of the first survivors I bought, and to this day I'm still pretty much chained to Windows of Opportunity. The new pallets being more realistic and blending better into the map doesn't help either.

You mentioned that some things- like the shack- are always the same, but you might not have realized that the maps as a whole are the same each time you play them (to some extent). Yes, they are procedural, so there will be some slight differences, but the game still needs to follow certain rules while generating the map. For example, any tile that is a maze tile (high walls with windows and/or a pallet) will always be a maze tile every time the map generates. It might be a slightly different one each time, but you can always count on something being there. Smaller loops follow similar rules, and the shack and main buildings will always be in the same spots. The shape of the map as a whole is also the same each time.
So my number 1 tip would be: Try to memorize the different map layouts. Areas that have pallets and/or windows will always have pallets/windows.
Beyond that, keep in mind that pallets won't spawn too close together in most cases. If you know a pallet was already dropped somewhere- by you or another survivor- don't count on another one being too close by. Try to keep track of which pallets have been used and avoid the immediate around around them the next time you get chased.

Windows is definitely helpful. Fortunately, Kate is a character you can buy with Iri shards. Windows also continues to be very good at a high level and, fortunately, if you want to buy her, you can get her and the Clown on sale for very little money.
If you want to learn this absent from Windows, it might help to get into the habit of just exploring maps a little bit. The absolute greatest skill a survivor can learn is awareness. At the beginning of the match, instead of just hoping on the gen immediately, run around the area around the gen and scout out the pallets and tiles. Then think about where the killer can come from and what your escape plan is. Practice looking behind you while running and switching between looking forwards and backwards while running.
If you hear a terror radius and don't know where the killer is or what they're doing, don't necessarily just stay on the gen but also don't go hide behind a corner. Move yourself into a halfway place in between the gen and your safe place where there's a decent amount of visibility until you know what's going on. Once you have clear line of sight on the killer and know what's happening, you can go back to the generator because you'll know when to stay and when you have to leave.
It's ok to pre-leave a generator! Distance is one of the most powerful things in this game. You don't want to leave a generator for no reason and go hide in a corner, but getting yourself to a safe place if the killer is chasing you is part of the game.

Windows of opportunity is best survivor perk in game in my opinion so it's good reason to buy character. It helps learning loops and tells areas where pallets are already used. Also it gives imformation, if killer is chasing someone close by. You can also wait when it appears in shrine of secret to get it with cheaper price though. If you don't want to buy it then you have to memorize loops and maps. Very good loopers can do as well without it like probbz, ayrun and naymeti.

There are a ton of tips I could type out, but there are many great tutorial videos on YT on how to loop/run tiles (as Peanits said, every map is essentially a variant/arrangement of the same basic structures and setups).
On the most basic level, one of the best things you can do is to scout around and make a mental map of the immediate area each you jump on gen is in, and have sort of a plan on how you will react if/when the killer approaches from X or Y direction, you you're not totally improvising when it happens. And of course, getting in the habit of scanning the most likely approaches while working on gens is vital.
And it can be tough (especially at lower levels) when you have teammates bail on gens at the first tiny whisper of the terror radius. Learning when to hang in and when to run is another thing that will come with time. And hopefully as you and your MMR improve, your teammates will have a better feel for that as well.
All of that (and everything) will get easier as you learn how the basic map structures function. Of course there will always be weird RNG anomalies, but generally speaking, succeeding in chase is largely a function of play time and learning what the different map permutations are. But if you are a new player, there's just going to be a learning curve to you'll have to be patient with yourself through.

First rule: Know the area.
If you start working on a gen in a Tile the frist thing to do is know your escape plan, take 5 seconds to look at all entry points and know ahead where you are going if the killer shows up at each entry point
The same applies to a gen in the open except you have to look a little farther away before working on the gen then while working on the gen make sure you are looking around, and try to keep an eye on your escape routes this will help with spotting stealth killers and even with seeing pallets get used by teammates as well, if you on the outer edge it can be helpful to position your back to the wall so you only have to watch 3 sides.
Open areas are meant to be dangerous, but the 3 killers you mention, if they can see you, you can see them so keep your head on a swivel and get that head start this is one of the best areas to make use of sprint burst

Honestly, i feel you. When starting its very confusing, i think for new players especially killer just feels way easier than survivor, it really feels helpless and frustrating, like nothing is within your power its either the killer or the map.
Windows is a really good perk, especially for people new to the game, but honestly even tho i know most maps, i still always run it, its just so useful, and thankfully you can get Kate if you grind it and get it for free.
But overall, the best tip is just getting experience, the maps are randomized, but there are always constants and a method to the madness.
Try to use perks like sprint burst or lithe to escape those unsafe gens, Meg is free and Feng is free in some versions of the game.
Good luck
