Legion w/Oblivious addon

So now he’s fast, you can’t hide from him, he has the most (or 2nd most after Doc) annoying, aggravating slowdown build in the game, and you don’t hear him most of the time. Seriously… ######### goes through these devs minds when they allow stacking of high mobility, stealth, aura/finding perks, slowdown and 1 hit vs poorly match made solo teams… it’s fng beyond belief. Here’s more cosmetics survivors….. now go be fodder for the players we actually care about.

Your pic hints that you’re a Legion main?? Regardless, I don’t care if while we’re oblivious AND he’s in frenzy he doesn’t see us… it all adds up to BS.

They can't detect you in Frenzy if you have the oblivious status effect applied as their ability to see your killer instinct ties to your ability to hear their terror radius. This means if you simply hide from them while they are in Frenzy and while you have the oblivious status effect, they will never find you (at least not by killer instinct).

The oblivious addon while can be good to sneak up survivors who are injured also makes him unable to detect you anymore with Feral Frenzy.

I also wouldn't really consider Legion a high mobility killer. His Frenzy speed is only 5.2m/s and it only lasts for 10 seconds. For contrast Wraith moves at 6.0m/s while cloaked and that has an unlimited duration. His power is good for tracking and getting first hits, but it's mobility is very limited without chain hits.

Perhaps the OP can describe the particular scenario with which they're struggling with Oblivious vs Legion.

With the Susie's Mixtape addon (increase Killer Instinct detection range by 20 meters) you can possibly still get some KI while undetectable, but I've tested and can confirm our doesn't work on Oblivious survivors, so yeah Oblivious is more likely to hurt Legion than help.

Oh no, not a basic attack killer! How will we manage!

It's so unfair killers have weapons and perks

The funny thing about that is that Legion is just... one of my favorite Killers. One reason is because they're a great farming killer. Not really a Legion main tbh.

And um, actually you kinda should care, it means that the Legion is basically handicapping himself by making you Oblivious and it's not really worth mentioning. Legion's entire power gets negated by Oblivious, and he would have to be chasing normally to take advantage of it... but at that point, it's just being upset that an M1 Killer is using Oblivious. Which is kinda a skill issue.

We must nerf the legion somehow?🤔I got it!We should take away his knife that way he could just vault pallets, and run around the map ,for no reason, just to do it.🏃

You guys aren’t seeing this in context. In a swf with 3 other good players, it’s not an issue. Nothing is really an issue in a strong 4 man swf except maybe a strong nurse or blight. The problem is MOST of us play in solo queue. 75%-90% are solo or 2 man swf. Fact - matchmaking is god-awful. So strong builds, whether on weaker killers or not, become extremely strong. Re: this legion build… teammates waste time healing or they stay grouped up or they don’t do gens… the game is lost before it even started. In solo queue these legion games are aggravating af because you spend all game mending and rescuing while gens go nowhere…

Whatever…. same old #########. Killers gaslight that there’s no problems and that survivors are just unskilled entitled whiners. While the reality is that DBD killer is the easiest gig in gaming. Killers get most of their games vs solo teams that are horribly mismatched and they use their strongest killers, builds, and camping/tunnelling/slugging tactics on top of it. But why are so many survivors DC’ing and quitting?? Why do survivors have permanent double BP incentives?? Oh, they just won’t adapt. Killers continue to confound ‘work’ with ‘difficulty’. Mowing the lawn can be a lot of work but it’s not difficult. You will 100% finish mowing the lawn. Same in dbd. In almost all your games it will take work but you will nearly always 3 and 4k. It’s not difficult. Easiest gig in gaming.

Oblivious is pretty bad on Legion because Feral Frenzy no longer procs on survivors who can't hear you. I've made the mistake of using it and thought it was worse than regular Legion-ing.

Personally, I think Legion's one of the least effective users of Oblivious even ignoring that, because Legion isn't very dangerous - especially not in Frenzy, where he can't down you. Being oblivious versus a Deathslinger, Plague, or Artist, now that's scary.

Ah yes, when no one agrees with your post it's clearly everyone else that is the problem.

And bringing up survivor dcing means nothing. People rage quit over anything. And the bonus also means nothing because survivor queues demand 80% of the playerbase to be even.

I'm sorry you have had some bad games but that's just the nature of pvp games. Not every game will go your way.

    It's not a strong build.

Oblivious actively HURTS the Legion player. It is literally bad for Legion to cause Oblivious. Legion loses tracking during Feral Frenzy if they cause Oblivious to survivors. Legion loses some immediate intel on who is and isn't Deep Wound debuffed (Killer Instinct informs the Legion player who is and is not Deep Wounded), which directly works against trying to get a fifth stab during Feral Frenzy. The only useful way to use Oblivious on Legion is to blow their Feral Frenzy for a single hit, then eat a 3 second fatigue for turning it off, and then chase the person they just stabbed. It's a complete waste of Feral Frenzy.

If Legion is using Oblivious and winning, the survivors are almost literally just feeding Legion kills. It would be like complaining about a Clown that only uses speed tonics. It could work in a few niche situations, but would be largely detrimental to their playstyle.

Survivors not knowing how Legion works is literally the funniest ######### ever to me, since he's been my main killer for a while. Like, it's a bit mean, but when I'm against a Legion who's frenzying and I see my teammate go hide in a locker, I'm not even leaving my gen. The Legion gets a grab and then we're both like "they seriously hid in a locker huh" X)
