What killer are you intimidated to play?

For example: I want to play as pig but her power seems so underwhelming. It's not unheard of for me to get bodied when playing one of my usual suspects, but I feel like it could be especially bad with pig.

Do you feel the same way about any killer?

I felt the same about legion. Just play and see what happens. You'll get over that eventually.

Trapper, because I'm a hag main, but he feels soooo weaker compared to her.

This happened to me with Legion as well. The HUNK cosmetic is what finally got him into my regular circle.

    Blight.

I have been trying him a lot in the PTB against bots and I find his power very difficult to use and it makes me nervous to try him in public matches. I don't find his power enjoyable in all honesty but I will want the achievements on Steam so I need to be able to play him well enough to get a merciless etc

I'd say Trapper, Hillbillly, Myers, and Artist.

I used to be interested but intimidated by Nurse, but I realized while giving her a go in custom that she gives me motion sickness anyway, so she's off my trying list.

actually nurse. Maybe once the bots are in the live version of the game i will give her a try, but honestly, im playing so many killers i dont think i can have the patience and time needed to learn nurse, maybe its not as bad as i think but i certainly will not try in online lobbys.

Deathslinger. It doesn't matter what game I'm playing; I'm pants with any ranged weapon unless it's spray-n-pay. My aim is trash and I'm the kind of person who tends to sit in iron sights for 20 seconds before I feel confident enough to shoot. Obviously that doesn't work here, and Slinger has tiny hitboxes on top of that, so... yeah. No murder cowboy for me.

    Terion Member Posts: 810

my aim is also very bad, trickster is the one im somewhat confident with, had a slinger challenge lately and got coldwind as a map, i think i had some rng in the survivors i got that round, like not an swf and not super pro loopers. Paired with basic pathing and map knowledge i built up since playing this game, it was actually a super fun game! but i normally need a few rounds with him and huntress too, for understanding the hitboxes again.

Probably the ranged Killers like Deathslinger or Huntress. I've felt that way about Hillbilly but I've gotten decent with him.

The trick to Pig, to me, is treat her Reverse Bear Traps as slowdown, not a way to get kills. That's why one addon of hers I personally like is Ruleset No. 2 (Survivors don't see Jigsaw Boxes until after the trap is active). Assuming they take time to hunt down the boxes instead of doing gens it'll be that much harder/take that much longer. I mix that with Face Mask (Survivors with traps are Blinded) and Hex: Plaything, but I could also see using an addon that slows down going through the boxes.

Also don't go after Survivors with active traps. They're the ones you least have to worry about because they're the ones who absolutely won't be on gens. So many Pigs tunnel the trapped and it just defeats the main use of the traps.

  • For me it was Artist but I've warmed up to her. I'm actually enjoying her now.

Can't seem to get the hang of artist. I can practice now though so I might start playing her and huntress soon.

I'd say Bubba, Freddie and Trapper

Bubba and Freddie for the reason that I don't want anyone to DC at the start of the match

Trapper cause I find his Traps too easy to spot and too easy to disable... So he's just an M1 Killer to me

But that'll change once I start playing again

I don't know what you mean. Intimidated by playing a character, like afraid of playing?

If yes, then no one. I don't feel intimidated to play a video game character.

Dislike, alot actually. The Killers I dislike most are those who play defensive or promote mass slugging and boring playstyles.

Hag, Freddy, Artist, Knight, Twins, Pinhead, Dredge are Killers I dislike the most.

    Nemesis.

Every once in a while I get the urge to play him and I am swiftly reminded why I do not.

Killers that moves fast like Oni, Blight and hillbilly, my reflexes are #########, but for some reason i'm not that bad as nurse

Doctor. I’m really bad at him lmao

  • Huntress. In my experience she requires more advanced predictive skill and intricate tile/map knowledge to be played to her maximum than any other killer—and I don’t mean those basic animation lock shots or simple stuff like that, I mean the shots from mid-to-long range over stuff, through windows, across larger and safer tiles—the hard stuff that really makes Huntress an actual good killer instead of generic mid-range antiloop 110 nonsense. Getting Huntress to that point where you’re almost Nurse levels of being able to hit anyone from anywhere requires such good map knowledge and ability to predict survivor movement. No killer has been as tough to master as Huntress for me, and I’m including curve Billy.

Twins. I wanna give them some love since they're hardly picked but Victor seems like he'd be easy to get clowned on with since all it takes is one miss to get kicked and u wasted ur time lol

Nurse, Blight, Hag, Artist, mainly. Nurse I'm complete ######### at. I do ok on Blight against low to low-mid range MMR survivors, but above that and I don't have the muscle memory. Hag I've always found annoying to play, but I think it's because I lean towards high-speed killers and don't have much practice setting up a trap web on her, or how best to land a hit after teleport. I like playing Artist to some extent, I just need more practice and to try out some different tactics without eating losses.

I like playing Deathslinger and Twins, but they're so limited in many matches (particularly at med-high MMR) that I don't use them that often. I'd like to play them just to play them sometimes, and bot games would be decent for it.

Deathslinger, Trickster..on console they are pretty trash. Want to play them but, I just don't.

I get really self conscious about me playing killers I don't really play often - despite me being fairly confident as a killer in general - and those are oni, artist, trickster.

That being said - I have two specifically I don't play due to sensory issues with certain things - blight because I get really motion sick with him, and physically can't play him and I struggle really hard with him, and bubba - his chainsaw "ready" bloop noise gives me panic attacks, so I don't play either of them. Similarly, I cannot queue up as deathslinger and have my headphones in until the game starts because of the coughing/spitting noise is sort of a trigger for me - I'm fine once the game starts, and I've actually really been having fun with him lately too on top of that. So if we count those issues, I feel intimidated with those killers too :)

Pyramid Head. I often see EUs best Pyramid Head stream (they know who they are if they read this and if someone thinks "hey maybe this is me", it definitely isn't you unless you know me personally and I watch your streams :p TedTalk over) and they make Pyramid Head look so fun and so easy only for me to play them and get destroyed completely.

So now whenever I get the urge to play them I always hold back just incase I get destroyed again.

Really Oni can help you practice for Billy because Oni Daddy dosnt stop his power when he colides with anything so that can help and he is more forgiving at times

The nurse because there is too much talk about it ^^ I would like to learn her but this community doesn't seam to have a space for her :D

I am waiting people stop debating if she needs a nerf or not so I don't get my steam full of negative comments of being sweaty every time I play her.

I reached to the conclusion I prefer her to be nerfed so people stop whining about it...

Intimidated because I'm afraid I'll lose with them? None, because I don't mind losing if I am having fun. I adjust my expectations to the killer I am using and just make the best of it.

Intimidated because they are a pain to use and I don't like feeling like I'm crapping the bed trying to sort their power out? Billy.

It's possible to get Merciless with every killer. You just have to practice enough. It just takes getting used to their power.

Checking out Otz's Killer builds spreadsheet also helps with that.

Hillbilly, especially after the nerfs he got.

He’s a hard killer to play successfully at higher MMR, he’s map dependent, and he’s one of those killers who are noticeably less effective when played using a controller. I have no issues playing killers like Nurse & Huntress effectively on controller but Billy, Blight, and Tricketer feel horrible, at least with Blight & Trickster it’s less punishing when you miss your hits with their abilities, Billy on the other hand…😭

I agree with others that Legion has got to be one of the toughest Killers to play. His power is so easily counterable. So long as survivors stay separated, then Legion has no pressure whatsoever.
