You can't play fair as the Killer every game

I just had match where they had 3 toolboxes and 2 of them had brand new part in it. No wonder why 4 gens were done in like 5 minutes. I had to start camping and tunneling on the last gen left and I got 2 kills in the end. If I keep playing "fair and nice" I bet I got nothing. 0 kills, less BP. Not worth it.

But you would have lowered your MMR a little bit so the next games don't become more of a sweat/tryhard fest for you.

The problem is if you always try to go for kills and don't relax and stop caring about the end screen, then inevitably you will end up using those strategies on a daily basis to keep up.

We all know that the game isn't balanced around going for 12 hooks regularly. The maximum potential success with that "friendly/fair" playtstyle lies way below the maximum MMR and you will reach a wall. (At least that would be the case with a properly working matchmaking that doesn't throw any logic out the window for the sake of fast queues)

That only shows how unbalanced the game is...

This is why you always play with the assumption that your opponent is the best.

It's very different in SWF and solo, so it's a head scratcher.

SWF is the root of most problems.

You can't play "fair" cause the game doesn't reward you and playing "scummy" or "toxic" is easier. I don't understand why killers need to justify this. If you like winning, the word "Fair" isn't in your vocabulary. Look at pro-athletes and stuff. They cheat all the time because they want to win.

Why killers try to convince us that they want to be nice out of their goodness of their heart but can't cause sweaty survivors is a cope. You play "scummy" even when survivors are not bringing those perks or items probably, but it doesn't matter. The game is what it is and they support it, you don't need validation from survivor mains. Play how you like and no need to pretend.

If I wanna win I bring toolbox or medkit and perks I believe will help me survive.

If I play because I wanna have fun and try fun perks I bring a different build.

I just don't think you wanting to win and playing as such should pit you against "fun survivor". If you wanna win and sweat for it you have to accept you'll play against sweats. The game's flaw on the killer side is that it starts easy enough and you hit a difficulty spike after winning a lot. It cannot always be easy but perhpas they could make improvements on that and make the difficulty spike smoother and not so sudden and happen earlier rather than later.

Topic should say: "You can't play fair as killer in high MMR"

    Then don't.

No one is putting a gun to your head and telling you to play whatever which way.

Do you want to? Is it not against the rules? Then go for it.

No one is shocked by your gRoUnDbReAkInG ReVeLaTiOn every time you have to play tough to win a tough match.

I agree. It is worth I have been saying as well. Either promote quality of chases or accept tunneling/proxy camping as a fair playstyle at high mmr. The choice is yours :D

You can, actually. You just should not expect to 4k every time by doing so.

Of course the word fair here is very subjective, as there is nothing unfair in using valid strategies, unfun as they might be.

I mean sure you could have played nice and maybe not got much out of it... But then again some people don't really care about BP or kills and just enjoy the chases... I mean after several thousand hours of playing you basically have anything you need so bp aren't worth anything anymore... So what is there to get out of a match where you just stand close to the hook and get bored... But you do you mate.

Imagine playing fair as a M1 killer against survivors with 4 BNP, which camping and predroping every single pallet on a Eyrie of crows?

If common stuff like that bothers you so much maybe just don't play for a while... I took a break of like half a year last year and when I came back I really did not care about stuff like that... Every single time I get cowshed as a killer I just laugh and am amazed if somebody manages to go down aganist an M1 Killer... And to be honest I haven't really had a match with 4 bnps... Besides you wouldn't necessarily know that beforehand...

Man just doesn't like losing from a cheap shot like that. I don't blame him.

I try to play fair, I really do. Then it just goes downhill. I tunnel them and make their entire trail pure agony. I play every chase out of my mind, looking for every way to optimize it. I stare at people blankly when they mess up during a chase, making sure they know that I noticed, and I'm not going to pretend I didn't.

I play Nea, and I have a problem.

Sure you can. You just can't expect to win every time, which too many people seem to do.
