There seems to be a misconception that Doctor is this awful killer and one of the worst in the game to go againts or play.

To me he's close to what a perfectly balanced killer should look like.

I love going againts Doctors and play as him.

He has one of the most balanced kit in the game, great tracking, great gen pressure, great anti-loop,great addons, not too opressive in any category.

His chase is not the best but also not the worst,he has a little bit of everything, even jumpscares that are fun.

To me he's one of the most balanced middle of the pack killer that can be really very versatille and can run any build on him and do good on any map.

Indoor map?Not a problem.Big map?Not a problem. He has the tools to find survivors and pressure gens just as good on any map.

He's the definition of what a middle of the pack balanced killer should look like.

The screaming and madness is nowhere near as annoying as people make it to be and to me it makes the games more fun and interesting.

Also he can look like an absolute Chad with the right cosmetics,I love this one and is my favorite cosmetic in the game.

To me, doctor is map dependant. Midwitch or The game, i usually just 4k, and he is very op in my opinion. Red forest? Yeah, good luck there. While you find survivors and get them down, you just dont have enough time until all gens are done.

His power can help you get survivors off gens and scare them away, you just need to not prioritize chases too much over gens and you will have a crazy amount of pressure on him.

I mean I just dont think the reasons to dislike him are as strong to be one of the worst killers in the game considering there are a lot of killers that is a lot worse to go againts and not just because they're op.

And especially since he's a balanced killer that's neither too op or too weak.

The fact is that for example his on-screen effects from madness alone go from annoyingly distracting up to a health hazard (not so much after the tuen down) depending on the individual player and I don't think you can just cast aside other peoples opinion just because your own experience differs, which you made your post sound like.

"I have a different experience, i guess all other are just exaggerating or wrong".

    Or in other words:

" Its not as bad for me, so it must be the same for the rest."

Doctor is my absolute favourite killer to go against !! He is very versatile, he has lots of cool addons that make playing against him interesting, my absolute favorite being all the red stains addons. Chases are interesting as well because he can deny vaults or pallets any time and you have to play around that.

I'm planning on learning to play as him as well soon =D

Doctor is the classic noob stomper. Experienced survivors do not usually miss madness skill checks which almost completely negates his slowdown. Even his anti-loop is easily negated by pre dropping pallets which again is a tactic one gets from experience.

I’ve never really found Doctor to be annoying to face.

If anything I think he’s a bit underpowered.

How annoying he can be depends on the map.

A coulro Anti-healing doctor in Dead Dawg can be very strong and obnoxious. But in no way do i hate playing against him.

Doctor is a noob stomper in a sense, so new players usually are the ones complaining about him.

Imo Doctor has the best killer design in the game, anti loop, tracking and slowdown all in the same kit. Too bad good design gets outclassed by killers that ignore core mechanics or move at speed of light.

Agree with this, the Doc is easy to use and can mess up a team who isn't amazing at running chases because he can find survivors so easily. And he is good at messing with gen progression.

At higher MMR he's a bit harder to use but still fairly strong.

"The screaming and madness is nowhere near as annoying as people make it to be and to me it makes the games more fun and interesting."

That's your opinion, and your opinion is obviously skewed because you obviously enjoy annoying other players. My opinion is:

I don't care what map it is, if it is a doctor the match will just be annoying. That's what he does. Annoy you to death. Worse than that, this is how killers that use him play. Even when you have full insanity they are still trying to shock you just for the annoyance of it.

He's not fun. His power has too many bonuses that are too useful on certain maps and with certain perks he is one of the most oppressive and powerful killers in the game.

Let me reiterate. He is NOT fun to play against. He is ANNOYING to play against. This is my opinion, but I hate when I have to use him for a daily ritual or a tome challenge because I feel bad for annoying everyone. He feels cheap and makes me feel like I am cheating.

"There seems to be a misconception..."

Except there isn't. Some find doc annoying to play as/against, you don't. It's subjective. Hence my first comment.

You do know that if he shocks you,you gain distance againts him,its not like his shocks has no downside or anything.

You do know that doesn't make it even a small amount less annoying? Which is the point. It doesn't matter if he is the weakest killer (which he is not even remotely close to being weak) he is the most annoying and least fun.

He's a lot more fun to go againts than:

Cenobite,Bubba,Artist,Nurse,Spirit and i'm pretty sure there's a lot more but these ones take the cake

do you really think they're shocking you just to be annoying? the shock has a side effect where you can't drop pallets or vault windows for 2.5 seconds after getting zapped. he's not shocking you just to bother you, he's trying to stop you being able to use chase tools so he can land a hit.

unless the killer has the "make survivors scream" archive in which case yeah i once chased a jill around a single rock for an entire game just to get 40 screams for my archive. got it in one, baby. still, wasn't to annoy her though. it was to get my archive.

I mean, sure, Doctor is not bad. He is actually very capable in the right hands. But perfectly balanced? There are just too many situations where Doc can't keep up with the survivors. For example playing around dropped pallets is almost hopeless. You need to shock the survivor twice and then still catch up. Its not worth it. So instead you break the pallet and the survivor runs to the next one and pre drops again. That sounds quite good until you realize how many pallets there are on some maps. Also Doctor has no map mobility and little map pressure. That means as long as the survivors have some info about the Doctor's whereabouts they can work on gens pretty much without any risk.

I'd put him at top C-tier. He is not awful but he could use a little buff.

I always wondered why they never made doctor hallucinations run toward you or move i think his madness would be more beneficial if it would do this

He's decent if he's going against bad survivors. The moment he gets survivors who know how to play against him, he's done. But for sure ignore the people who say he's OP simply because they can't hide vs him, as if that argument in any way reflects high level play.

Do I think so? Absoeffinglutely. They are definitely doing that. If you think they aren't then you aren't paying attention. There is absolutely no advantage to blocking a survivor in a corner and shocking them over and over even after they are already at the snap out of it stage. NONE. Yet EVERY SINGLE DOCTOR plays this way. In fact, this is usually how the match starts vs. a Doctor. They find someone, body block or just loop them into a dead end, and proceed to shock them over and over and over again. Not for game advantage, but to be annoying. It isn't the trophy or the tome challenges, because then you would face some doctors that wouldn't be wasting their time doing this. Since it is always every single one of them, it is the fact that they enjoy being annoying. I think the only time I've faced a Doctor that wasn't doing this is when they were standing still, farming, yet EVEN THEN they were still electrocuting everyone.

Eh, his queen could be better, to me his best add on combo is iri king and high stims, but as a doc main/simp, I 100% agree that he is all around balanced and his tracking is very underrated

I don't mind the killer, but you have to be smart.... like, everyone can't group together or the shocks will have us all screaming. He's much better if people realize that and don't group in one area of the map.

Right, because killer players just love to waste their time and losing matches. Just as much as they love getting teabagged at the exit gates.

I used to main Doctor and I never did this. Doctor does not have the time to go out of his and annoy you. Its also interesting how you make claims that are obvious lies. "EVERY SINGLE DOCTOR plays this way." means they all bodyblock you into corners. How would they even do that? XD Its your decision whether you run into a corner or not?

Most Doctors I've seen use their shock for the anti-loop ability more than anything else. Because they actually want to win. If what you stated was even REMOTELY true we would see Doc's kill rate dropping beyond reasoning. That doesn't match with the numbers we have.

I honestly just don't like playing against Doctor. I have no actual issues when playing against him, save that I always seem to get tunneled/camped by Doctor players, but outside of that, I generally do just fine. I simply dislike playing against him. To me, he's more annoying than anything. I totally agree he is well balanced and perfectly fine, but that doesn't stop some part of me from going "Ugh" whenever I'm against him.

No, Doctor players do. Only Doctors. Not every Legion only wants to cause everyone to mend, and not every Plague only pukes on you beyond the usefulness of it. Clowns aren't made up of players that ONLY intoxicate you well beyond what is necessary. The Doctor does this every single time. There are a lot of slightly annoying mechanics in DBD, yet only the Doctor is used this way every time I've faced him.

I am talking about my experience. It may not be your experience but I would argue that you lack experience if you don't regularly encounter this. I am certain that my experience is more than most. I play DBD at least one four hour session a day, and most days eight to twelve hours. Doctor is used roughly 1 out of every 30 matches, and this is how they always play. They ALWAYS shock beyond what is needed. Not sometimes, not once a match. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Heck, they even shock player's dead bodies just to annoy the f out of that player.

Believe me; no killer goes into a game thinking: "Yeah Im gonna play Doctor so I can annoy the ever living heck out of these survivors." If a killer wants to be malicious they are more likely to play Basement Bubba. The Doctor will shock you even if you are in tier 3 Madness. That's how he works. No shock means no anti-loop and therefore no hit.

There might be a few people out there that only shock you to be annoying. There are bad sports on both sides that will do anything to ruin the game for their opponents, sadly. But its definitely not every single Doctor. Since you seem to be the only one with that experience I would argue you are either very unlucky or you completely misread these situations.

You are proving my point. You enjoy annoying people. You get a thrill from it. You cannot stop yourself from wasting other peoples time. You could ignore me. You could say we just disagree and move on, but you keep on bumping this thread and proving my point.

Good job, Doctor main, good job at being the most annoying killer you can be.

A bit hypocritical, don't you think? When you are literally the one with the most posts in this thread? If I do annoy you, I'm sorry for that. My intention was to inform you that it isn't every Doctor, not to annoy you. The reason I keep on about this, is because the picture you paint on Doctor players is absolutely inaccurate. Accusing a group of people to go into the game with the goal to annoy the survivors, which is a reportable offense, is a pretty horrible thing to do. I could say every single survivor in the game is a bad sport (which obviously isn't true) and most people would tell me I'm wrong. If you can't stand to hear when you are in the wrong this forum might be the wrong place for you, no offense. It is a place where people come together and discuss after all.

If you seriously think every single Doctor plays to ruin your experience of the game I suggest you remember that DBD is in fact a game. The killer doesn't know you. Doctors playing the way they play is not personal. Its just how the game works. They shock survivors to gain an advantage and win the game, that's it.

At this point you're showing me that I do something right. You see, many people will just try to shut the other person down as soon as they realize they won't be winning an argument and your response is exactly that.
