Outbreak Breakout appreciation thread
Hello everyone, just a short one here.
Can we all come together and appreciate this marvelous achievment design that is so intricate, that even after a full 3 month after its release still less then 0,1% of the player base have achieved this grueling grind, making it the one and only perk that is sitting at a global achievment stat of 0%. Thats something, I guess?
This achievment has recieved some universal hate, so I won't be adding to that here, and I am certain that BHVR learned a lesson for future achievment designs :)

I also noticed when I go to the Steam overlay the achievement progress shows Outbreak Breakout (where I ran out of RPD offerings at 18/20) with a 'So close' comment besides it (probably because it's my last achievement left but still).
It's like the game itself is taunting me...

Ugh. That's just cruel... must be The Entities doing, trying to erode your mental defenses and snatch a piece of that tasty soul.
You are doing good! I was basically at the same spot as you and then used up all the RPD badges on all my characters to grind the achievement out. Got 5 blips done on one evening, but it burned me out. Then, the next day gave me two early morning RPD maps back to back, one with an AFK killer, the other with a Baby Wraith. That felt like a gift from heaven and I couldn't believe it when the achievement finally popped.

Do you HAVE to be the exit gate opener AND escaper? or can someone open for you?

Gotta open an exit gate yourself and escape. Doesn’t count if you are just escaping or if you open a gate and then die

Nope. You must open the exit gates yourself and escape. So in the case of a 4man escape only two survivors have a shot at getting a pip om this achievement and that is if you can sneak out both gates. With the number of maps you have a roughly 5% chance to play one of the two maps; if you burn RPD offerings, chances are that the killer suspects foul play and goes in hard, sweating before he might get bullied.

I finally just got it, and I can safely say it was the hardest achievement for me. You need the stars to align to get the right conditions and it doesn't help that most killers absolutely loath the map and will play in the scummiest way just because they saw the offering for it.

I'm still only at 4/20 but I haven't used any offerings for RPD.
I refuse to make anyone else play on that map.

This was legitimately painful.
I had to run Wake Up + Sole Survivor and burn RPD offerings constantly.

Just got the trophy a few days ago. Had to use all my RPD offerings on every survivor, get through killers that DC’d because they thought I was using the map offering for an advantage, and sweat a lot to just manage to survive by the end. I went a few games in before I realized that you need to be the exit gate opener and also escape in the same game.
