Mainly just a hype thread. I usually play killer once in a blue moon for challenges but when ptb was up, it was nice to play a few super casual matches. This is something I see myself doing more often because of this feature.

How does everyone plan to utilize this feature if at all?

I'll love to be able to play some custom games with my friends even if we're not 5 !

Also, I've been meaning to try my hand at Billy, but I really don't want to do it in public matches. Same for some derusting games when it's been a while that I haven't played this or that killer. =)

I can finally be good at nurse without going public.

I just wanna chill out. Like I'm good at killer but I've been so annoyed with how people are trying so hard against killers that don't really need to be sweated against I changed my steam name to SweatYourBallsOff.

In my humble opinion I'm already really good with the Killer roster, however I would like to specifically practice moonrushing, Billy curving and long range hatchets against the bots to go to an even higher level. Being able to win with them or land hits is one thing, but getting to a level where you almost never miss with them at all puts you in god territory

Finally, a team i'm equipped to take on as Billy.

Outside of practicing killers with more complex mechanics that rely on collision (Blight, Billy) I see no use in it given how awful the A.I. is.

i have been THIRSTY for the bots arriving in DBD since they announced it in the anniversary stream.

Ofc i will use this opportunity to have some practice with killers i hesitate to learn in public matches, or to shake of rust with some i havent been playing in a while.

-> also custom lobbys with friends is now possible since we never could get 5 people at 1 evening.

And now, let me tell you. I do my challenges, i get my bloodpoints, ive built some skill in the online lobbys, i will not stop ofc. But i have come to a conclusion for me, its only healthy to play DBD during main game time, late at night is just... awful. Especcially as killer. And on weekens? during the day? survivor kinda seems working out but killer really is limited for me, only evenings no matter what. Ofc there will be some hard games but its a good mix.

so whenever i just feel like playing dbd without any pressure, just play the game and not worrying about challenges not getting done because the other players ruin my plans, i can switch to custom. Which is great!

i do hope you can customize the bots though. I know its niche but idk. You will be able to give them perk builds but always facing the same skins gets boring fast i believe.

I'm as excited about this as any DBD change ever, save maybe the DH nerf. I might actually play Billy/Oni/Blight or Nurse (probably not Nurse). An addition long overdue.

I'm looking forward to the bots for two simple reasons: 1) Not having to worry about practicing against a sweaty SWF, and 2) being able to try different controller customizations in a chill setting.

At the end of the day, I'm more interested in having chill matches, and unless I'm desperately needing blood points or rift shards, I'm perfectly content playing against the bots for the foreseeable future.

Testing builds on killers I've never touched , easy matches during "off hours", playing very casually with new/old friend(s)

Yeah I’m also super excited, I’m also really happy to be able to practice more with characters I don’t play and also struggle with. I just hope to get better with Blight cause sometimes I would slide a lot while trying to move and whatnot.
