Can we do SOMETHING for the remaining Survivors after an early DC
A whole lot of nothing has been done about this. 3 Survivors with 5 gens is almost unwinnable against a remotely competent Killer. Add a bot, give a BP bonus...do SOMETHING.

As an unofficial rule, I don't blame people who DC after the first Survivor suicides or DC's.
It would be nice to receive some official compensation

It's a bad response because players should be compensated if someone quits early.
Both roles should get BP, and the player who disconnected should be replaced with a bot.
Additionally, there should be a vote option to resign the game / allow players to DC afterwards without penalty. The only exception would be premades disconnecting, unless it was someone outside of their premade who disconnected.
There's just no reason to continue when it's a 3 v 1 at 5 generators.

No one mentioned hook deaths, they mentioned DCs. And early DCs are not a viable "strategy" for a killer anyway.

I've said before that it should only be the first DC of a game that gets hit with the penalty. If the others don't want to endure a 3v1 at 5 gens they shouldn't have to. SWFs won't benefit because they share the penalty of those in their lobby anyway, but solo's can just move on to the next if they want to.

Please just don't penalize anyone for DCing after the first one.
Survivors don't want to be stuck in a prolonged hopeless game and killers don't want to have to choose between a feelsbad stomp or a boring farming match.

They could at least make me no lose MMR for it... I hate the fact I get punished and likely put in matches i dont belong in because of it.
I also think people that DC, AFK, suicide on hook etc. Should slowly get marked and forced into their own queue so people who just want to play a normal game no matter what can and those who ruin it for others are matched together

I wish more Killer players "felt bad" about stomping the rest of the group once someone DCs at five gens.
As a Killer Main I tend to go into what I call "low-key farming" when someone DCs early, in that I sort of just pull back and still "play normally" but I drop chase often, stop kicking gens, don't proxy a hook as often, overall just try and make it look like I'm trying to hook them all but really I'm not. I'll double hook but let them all out. That is if someone doesn't signal to be hooked again so they can leave.
As for my first line: I often get lots of other Killer players who don't go easy on me and the other two when someone DCs early and they still camp or tunnel or go super hard for three hooks on everyone and in end-game chat they say nothing about the DC and have no problem with the game having been an easy curb stomp because "It's not [their] job to make sure [the Survivors] have fun" or some other [male bovine excrement] and even a few say they are thankful for the early DC because it makes "their job super easy" and they "like getting an easy 4k".
I just wish more people who play this game had more compassion and empathy for others. Both the DCers and the Killers that don't go easy on the rest of the team.

Was playing a killer match today on mother's dwelling, this duo SWF were running flashies and sticking to each other like glue hoping to get saves.
I must state now that I had no lightborn or Franklin's as it's pretty rare anyone who uses flashies actual CAN use them.
After the save was failed both in the open and during a locker grab they both DC'ed...at 5 gens...1 hook...
I farmed and chilled with the other two but for crying out loud people gotta stop throwing a fit on this game when they realise they aren't gonna ROFL stomp some poor noob, it's pathetic.
The penalty escalation needs to be far steeper, maybe a mark of shame for 48hrs for being a serial offender so nobody will game with them or slam them with a -50% bloodpoint debuff if time is not a strong enough deterrent.

You do get compensated when someone DCs. You get a whole 600 Bloodpoints. :D

I believe survivors are compensated via additional bloodpoints for teammate disconnects. Killers receive a small bloodpoints bonus too, and furthermore receive an easier game when a survivor disconnects which is itself a reward.
Adding bots to replace disconnected survivors, while possibly helpful to survivors, actually punishes the killer.

SWF can benefit because they can spread DCs around to avoid waiting 30+ matchmaking penalties.
Ex: First survivor DCs to get a 5 minute penalty, then next game, survivor 2 DCs to get a 5 minute penalty, then next game survivor 3 DCs to get a 5 minute penalty, then survivor 4 DCs to get a 5 minute penalty. Cycle repeats to keep their timer low.

today it seems to be especcially bad. Had aprox. 5 killer games and 4 survivor games. And there were NO dcs in 3 of them. so out of 10 games there was at least 7 times someone (or multiple in one round) DCing.

Then survivors have no reason to stay if they are going to get mauled in a 3 v 1 at 5 generators. You have to throw them a bone or else they will just quit.
I mean, if I'm gonna play killer, I want the other side to outplay me. It's no fun beating a handicapped team. I don't learn anything other than I can win a 3 v 1, which is like every killer.

thats not how it works XD its nurse, onryo (and blight?) at 63%. The others are lower. That is not "all killers have a killrate of 63%". And it also doesnt differ from casual players or new players whos killrates are MUCH lower but add into the same pool as some coconut, lilith omen and other pro gamers.
and trust me, killers dont wanna play only 3. If they did the "killrate" was way higher. Dont trust too much on statistics, they say nothing and only serve to push a narrative.

It’s exactly how it works. The kill rate produced by the devs is an aggregate. It doesn’t really matter if only three killers (and you’re wrong on who they are; Pinhead, Onryo, and Wesker are the top 3 individually) have the highest individual rates. Because your favorite killer having an individual rate below 63% means diddly squat for game balance. The total kill rate is 63%.

Which proves my point more, why should survivors stay in the game? If the kill rate is around 60% at 4 v 1, then survivors would have not chance at 3 v 1. I wouldn't blame a survivor if they just give up at that point. The least you can do is help them out for the brutal moments to come lol.

I really don't understand why players aren't yet exempt from DC penalties in a match with an early quitter. All three other survivors and even the killer should be allowed to dip without receiving a matchmaking lockout. It's not a real match at that point.

After someone DC's a new Meg-Bot will spawn. Her primary objective will be to harass the killer and hump their leg. The killer will be unable to attack the Meg-bot. If they try to, the killer will break out into a sexy new dance against their will.

i see 3 killers at 63%, which is not ALL killers. So they made their personal fantasy statistics up indeed. I was wrong on who they are, but i wasnt wrong by saying its 3 out of 39 who have 36 %. The important note is the overall average rate which is only at 59%. the game IS ballanced, no matter what yall trying to make out of those numbers.
also, the top 5% dont mean nothing for the game as a whole.

I dunno, what good use does factoring in the bottom 5% of the playerbase have in overall stats? The bottom 10%? The bottom 25%? Especially in a system where the matchmaking is terrible?

great, now we reached whataboutism. The statistics you showed are 1= all mmrs and 2 = top 5%.
for balancing matters you balance around all mmrs. Or to show off how balancing stuff actually changed stats (which BHVR did by releasing those) youd also wanna take the "all mmrs". The top 5% are an addition to know whats going on in the masters den so to say. Nothing of importance for casual players.

Firstly, let's just get it out of the way, balancing around all MMRs is a terrible idea. It just is. I almost want to stop arguing with you because I cannot take someone who believes in that idea seriously at all.
Secondly, my point is, the stats for the top 5% of MMR are significant because it's supposed to show (I say "supposed to" because MMR is dogwater) what's good and bad at the level of players who actually know what they are doing, and thusly accurately showcase what is good and what is bad. If you want to argue that these stats should be ignored for whatever reason, then why are we bothering looking at the stats that include the massive range of bottom MMR players which completely skew any numbers worth taking seriously on account of matches in that range being a complete and utter circus?
I'm not even taking the other guy's side on this. I couldn't care one way or another. But if you're gonna accuse someone of making up numbers and then ignore the numbers presented to fit your narrative, that's just comically hypocritical.

That's an interesting idea.
If the IP leak has been fixed, it would work against SWFs that would exploit a mechanic where only the first DC get a penalty.
Maybe add to the total queue time of all the other players (including the killer).

Too easy to exploit by SWFs. The suggestion of @ProfessorDunwich on another hand seems to be a good alternative.
Not everybody enjoys farming. (I absolutely don't. If the 3 others survivors are farming with the killer, I'd rather kill myself on hook and go in a real match.)
Broken early-DC matches like these need to be over fast. : two kills, one hatch, better luck next time.

A survivor DCing also screws over the killer.
Survivors are literally a resource for the killer, so one less survivor means less hooks, less sacrifices and less BP.
I was recently doing the "sacrifice 12 Survivors" challenge, which as we all know is bugged and registers one kill less than you actually make. So a DC is limiting me to two potential kills, but of course a hatch escape makes that one kill.
Sometimes the fairest option is just to end the game as quickly as possible, if the game is going that way anyway. Why waste 10 minutes letting survivor live when repairing all the gens is futile, when I can take my 'two minus one' sacrifices and a hatch escape, and everyone can move on asap.

Yeah I hate when I get an early dc and just proceed to play the game normally and then I get cursed out in chat cause I was not willing to offer 20 minutes od my time to farm with them. I kill you you can get another game everyone is happy

The game should be accsessable to anyone, not only the top 5% thats why i said top 5% doesnt mean mutch. Evil dead made that mistake of balancing around the top players and we all know how that played out. Anyway, devs know better than you and me so we can argue about it all we want.
And you talk again about low MMR, i have not seen the statistics YOU presented with an image about "low mmr" so why keep bringing this in? Your starting to talk nonsense now. Jumped from whataboutism to nonesense... Which is why you start to irritate me now, so ima just ignore you from now on.

I'm so sick and tired of teammates DC-ing the moment they find out what killer it is, or they get downed first, or don't like the map... in some games, I've noticed the entire match gets disconnected if the game is in its early stages, but IDK if this is more a lobby issue bug as a whole or due to the v early DC.
There have been so many of these matches lately, no matter what time of day, that I've just switched to playing killer or just shutting off the game.

Yeah, I get that. Personally I also prefer to just be killed and move on most of the time but it is nice if the Killer gives you the option of if you want to farm or not when someone DCs at five gens. I'm still working my way through the Survivor Challenges in The Archives so a farming game really helps me get through them some times. Especially the "Stun the Killer" ones.
If the Killer just goes hard in a 3v1 that makes a ######### situation even shitter. I just wish more would give the option to make it a farming game instead of just steamrolling the remaining three. I get why people don't of course but it's just a ######### situation all around.
I was recently doing that challenge myself, last week I think, and had someone DC early on me, five gens but they would have been the SECOND hook instead of the first. I let the other three go and got a single uptick on my counter: the DC counted as a Sacrifice. And even in the two games before that it had counted four and three correctly so I guess it was "bugged in my favor" if the DC counted. It seems really inconsistent what a DC counts for and what it does not when it comes to Challenges as I HAVE had it count as "hooks" for some Challenges and also not counted as either hooks or a sacrifice for other Challenges.

The worst case scenario for me personally is when killer chills a bit but still try enough for all your 3vs1 effort to go to waste. Like they give you false hope and then kill everyone anyway after a dragged out game.
I couldn't care less about bp but sweating your ass off just for all of us to inevitably die feels like a waste of energy.
I actually prefer killers who just stomp me in 3vs1 and I move to the next one.
