Why should I use Iron Maiden?

Iron Maiden
You open Lockers IconHelp lockers.png 30/40/50 % faster.
Survivors who exit Lockers suffer from the Exposed Status Effect for 15 seconds and their location is revealed for 3 seconds.

"This is no place for cowards." — The Legion

Unique to The Legion until Level 40, at which point its Teachable version can then be learned and taught to the other Killers.

Oh yeah, they are exposed for 15 seconds.
They see the exposed statuts effect.
They see, that the killer use this perk(notification).

I rly hate it, that survivor got tons of informations, because the notification feature.
Both sides should have the same informations and the same strength.
4 survivors = 1 killer

Just for reloading with huntress worth, other than that it's a gimmicky perk (-> useless 99% of the time).
Btw, I played like 100hrs with huntress and this perk, I ONLY downed 2 survivors during that much time with the exposed status effect

Iron Maiden is only really useful on three killers: Huntress, Doctor, and Legion. The Huntress benefits from the faster locker opening time as it allows her to reload her hatchets/power faster without having to sacrifice (pun intended) an add-on slot. The Doctor gets the full benefits of the perk as his primary counter is hiding in lockers, by using this perk he can search and detect people using lockers allowing him to actually remove one of his most powerful counters from the game. Legion only really gets the faster locker opening advantage as some folks don't understand that he can open lockers while in the Feral Frenzy and will arrogantly jump into a locker right in front of him. I suppose being exposed does something but given how rare it is for people to jump out of lockers while the killer is near they'll probably use Frenzy to get over to where the locker is, which negates the survivor's exposed effect as they'll likely end up afflicting them with deep wounds through the frenzy.

Iron Maiden is a decent perk, but unless you are going for some kind of turbo build (Brutal Strength, Agitation, Iron Maiden, and Bamboozle) it has limited uses.

It's good for deranking. Equip it and you'll find you lose no matter how well you play so you don't feel like you have to AFK during the match.

Use Iron Maiden with Doc. Then the survivors cannot play with madness.

As others have said, Huntress for faster reloadingz Doctor if you don't want them using lockers to avoid madness.

That's about it. Well maybe if you have Nurse or Billy, dont want them using lockers to avoid bbq either, as when they leave the locker and notify their position these 2 killers can make it to that area fast.

I think the timer needs to be reworked for it to become useful because 15 seconds isn't really helpful because by time you get the notification they are exposed and go find them the exposed status has gone. I have never used lockers as survivor really so not sure how much the perk is used. Apart from when I am swf and my friends say he has iron maiden. In my opinion haunted ground is more useful .

Lockers can be really useful when you are a survivor. At first I never used them but now I use them often.

But you get a notification that the killer used Iron Maiden.
Would you jump again in a locker?

It can be really effective against locker jukes. I love when they think they escape insta down and find out I have Iron Maiden.

Dont its wholly dependent on survivor actions that happen rarely and the payoff is minimal.

    1) As Huntress it makes you reload faster. Especially important if you have Iri Heads/Belt combo.
    2) As Doc, counters the tactic used to avoid madness.
    3) As Freddy, counters the tactic used to avoid aura reading in DW.
    4) As Nurse, counters the locker juke tactic to avoid blink hits.
    5) As any killer using BBQ to counter the tactic used to avoid BBQ aura reading.
    6) As any spoopy build, like SM Myers or All Seeing Wraith, where you just wanna be a lil extra spoopy.

That all out of the way, only 1 and 2 are viable reasons to use it. The rest are hit or miss.

But survivors get after 1 time a notification.
They will only use 1 time a locker.

Never seen a survivor activate this more than once, except swf spamming it for attention. Its a dead perk for me.

Yes, and that is good. It removes a hiding option for them. Are you that reliant on the exposed status where that is the only thing you care about? Yes it let's them know that they are exposed while coming out of a locker. Now they have to decide is it worth being exposed to use this hiding method. Not all perks need to be super powerful that are constantly being triggered to be good and useful.

Right, which for 2-6 you still benefit because they can't counter your aura reading (madness in Doc's case). ! you're not caring if they use lockers anyway you do it for the reload speed (smart survivors don't hide in lockers V Huntress anyway). Basically IM is used as a deterrent to stop them from using lockers to hide from you. And it can give you a lucky one shot or survivor location here and there at the start of the game.

Who then, of course, get notified they are now exposed.
