Why compare a Survivor doing a glyph to a Killer doing a glyph?

It sounds so stupid and makes zero sense.

Don't do the glyph when the killer is right there.

Yeah survivors think if one pops up mid chase then it's a kop out lol.

I'm perfectly fine with it. I'm gonna hit/down them the second that glyph is done, so I get what I need anyway. Wait a few seconds - get guaranteed hit. Sounds good to me.

Killer does a glyph in less than 2 seconds and does so when they have time or happen to pass by, survivor spends an average(!) of 10 seconds per glyph. The only times they casually walk by and are able to spend time on it, is if they have a team that does gens while they do so or all gens are already finished. Any other time, and its gaining the killer bonus time. The killer doesnt really lose any time realistically.

So yeah, best thing you can do is wait out the glyph a little, or make sure you hook them next to the glyph and dont tunnel.

I try to let survivors do their glyphs if I notice in time, the gamer brain is hard to switch off mid-chase.

Sure if you are willing to pay with a hook state for it no matter your health state. Yes you heard me I want you to stop running and get down even if your healthy. So since that won't ever happen I would say if I see you you will get interrupted.

And like always give your thanks to the survivor that came before you. When glyphs first came up I still tryed to be the nice guy and let survs finish it. Then I met that nice nea who was about to do the glyph she bowed down and pointed at it i allowed it. The second she was done and I wanted to hit her she old DH into a safe loop got a pallet stun on me and made fun of it in end game so no I would lose the freaking game for you not getting that glyph

Lets make a social contract, then: when I come charging around a corner, find you doing your glyph/rift/whatever and avert my strik and just stand there, letting you finish, please have the decency to nod at me afterwards and let me hit you after you. Less then 1/4 of the survivors do and its eroding my willingness to let them do glyphs.

If I happen upon you mid-glyph then sure, finish it up then we'll chase, but i dont give a ######### if you do it mid chase.

I'll usually let survs finish a glyph. Unless they've BMd me. Reap what you sow. I don't see any other reason to stop them because I'm still going to get my hit/down. Only people who'd do that are the "win at any cost" sweaty types or trolls who just like deliberately like pissing people off.

Cause ngl as survivor it bugs me when killer double hits me on a glyph, like I'm happy to give killer a free down if I'm going for my glyph, but when you're trying to do it and they double hit you from healthy that's kinda unnecessary. Like you can literally wait 3 seconds, plus you wouldn't have had that down if I didn't stop for the glyph.

Also damn, killer mains getting triggered by this post lol

Mh, I don't think I will do that, at least if the game doesn't stop while I do a glyph when I play killer. When you play killer, 2 seconds are important because can change the entire match, so why do I have to wait for survs to do the glyph? You do that if you have time.

And 10 seconds, seriously? Never noticed the difference in time, maybe because usually I skip these challenges.

exactly, you have ALL the time to do your glyph BUT in chase.

this post achieves nothing, some will do it some will not and if they don't then you're risking throwing the game for you and your teammates cuz you couldn't just do it when you're actually safe.

It's funny how this gif would feel awful and reprehensible if there was another survivor, but being a bald Dwight with that old free skin make it very funny an pleasant, haha.

Will a survivor stop a chase when a killer has to do a glyph? I don't think so, so -- "no". :)

it's only kinda true for green glyphs (2 seconds killer, 8 seconds survivor)

For red glyphs it's 1.5 seconds killer, 3 seconds survivor

And yet, while killer is waiting 8 seconds for survivor to do green glyph, 3 other survivors won't stop what they're doing. and 8 seconds is A LOT of time for the killer

upd. as for "survivor only" glyphs, the longest is yellow glyph, 5 seconds

I always let survivors do their glyphs. It's petty not to. Don't need to further perpetuate the stereotypes about this community by being a dick.

Yea you're right! Survivor Rulebook for Killers Rule No. 69: Respect glyph challenges or burn forever in the eternal flames.

I didn't know, I thought that both killers and survs glyphs took the same amount of time. But as you said, survivors won't stop, so why I have to wait for the glyph? It doesn't make sense and I don't understand why lots of people wait or they expect people to do it.

This is the best post in this thread. There's literally no downside to it for the killer.

Sadly though, a lot of people in this community are just so petty and spiteful but then cry about their fun not being considered or not having normal matches.

I think its better to thank those who show kindness instead of complaining about those who don't.
