I feel like this Game is slowly dying

I feel like this game and it's whole concept is becoming lack luster and dying to a certain state. it's not fast, not slow, but just enough that it is noticeable from a distance.
same maps, same survivors, same killers, same perks; theirs just nothing really new or exciting in this game anymore.

When i first started playing, the whole concept of this realm of the entity seemed really interesting, this H.P Lovecraft sort of world that know one new how it came to be; it was simply awesome.

Then over time, we where giving less and less lore about the world; sure their was the backstories of the survivors and killers, but their was so many questions unanswered about everything; like why does the entity help survivors in certain aspects when it's entire goal is to get them on the hook it has created within this world? What ever happen to the first survivor Benedict Baker? How did the entity come into existence in the first place? Etc, etc

Not only that, but theirs just a huge lack of game play, bugs and unbalances that has been ignored for far to long. Theirs no new game modes, no new objectives, no dedicated survivors, a ranking system that shouldn't even exist, so on and so fourth.
once you do everything, like leveling up all your killers/survivors completely and got to the highest rank, theirs nothing else to do? Nothing to achieve, nothing to get awarded for, it's just the same 20 to 40k bloodpoints every match; not to mention all the toxic remaining players that you have to deal with that still linger around in this game.

Even when a new killer or survivor gets released; the game only grasp onto those cool concepts for about a week at most, then they become obsolete because the community picks it apart saying how weak, or stupid these new survivors or killers are.
It's like 90% of the time, no one is ever satisfied when getting something new in this game.

New killer? "This killer is to weak/op it needs to be changed from its original concept."
New map? "The map is always killer/survivor friendly, they need to buff/nerf certain parts of the map"
New survivor? "This survivor dosen't have any good perks and should be avoided at all cost; best to stick with Claudette or meg"

I don't know, the games become rather dull at this point; it's always the same complaints, same game play, same matches, etc, etc.

Theirs just nothing really new or exciting to go for within this title anymore.

If they increased perk and killer diversity this wouldn't be much of a problem. Nerfing overly strong killers and perks while buffing irrelevant ones would probably make people choose a wider variety of them. Rank 1 is just Nurse, Billy, Legion, NOED, DS. Same crap over and over.

In what colour? Blonde, brown, maybe red?

Blue is the best option obviously. Always blue

I'll agree with @Delfador , people say this game is dying all the time. If I recall correctly, this game is actually growing a bit. I started this game like two years ago now and I still have fun, just wait a bit and possibly new stuff will come to bring this game up to whatever standards you wish it to be in. Otherwise, do not say a game is dying, since you're one of the few, not the majority.

To end off on a light note, I am sorry this game is boring to you, but it will get better later. If it doesn't, you can Mori me

I Don't think the game is Dying, I feel like it is struggling to retain constant growth though.
This could be down to a lot of different factors but I feel like the main problem lies with Killer designs.
The game itself is very repetitive, same objectives every game but certain killers can change how these objectives are played out, sadly a lot of them aren't designed to be viable at higher ranks which then leads to the same Killers being used in higher ranks.

Lack of killer Viability means lack of Variety in Killers and with that game styles depending on the killer. Facing the same top tier killers over and over is bound to get stale. If the other killers could put up the same fight or if everyone was on a level playing field the game would feel a lot less repetitive.

Maybe because we expect this game to become esport and it is not, it is a casual game to play with friends and nothing else. Do not take it seriously because the game does not have what an ESPORT game has to have.

It's pretty much the same as old people saying things used to be so much better. You not enjoying it anymore doesn't mean others don't. I mean, if you're bored with it, I won't try to convince you otherwise (it's actually a sign of good mental health if you get bored of playing the same game for too long), but there are many of us who still like it just fine.

So many submeta perks, alternative strategies, meme builds and else to experiment with.

Hmm, this feels more like why it's dying for you and not in general.
The minimum amount of players active at a time had its highs and lows, but has only been growing over time on average.

The monthly this game is dying thread arrives.

The game itself has actually been growing steadily, back at the hallowed blight event the recorded the most ever players logging in over 1 million, since the devs bought the rights from starbreeze it has had many changes on balance and while it's not perfect it's in the best state for a long time.

Posts like this tend to say what someone us personally feeling so the game for you is dying only, maybe you need a break or it's time to move on, not every one can enjoy a game for hundreds/thousands of hours sometimes you just get bored of them.

Any game gets boring after awhile, step back and take a break. Maybe wait until more than one dlc is released and see if what your missing has been added or improved.

I've never really seen this game becoming ESPORTS at all; i was more interested in the lore and concept, i don't know why people thought it was a good idea to make tournament's out of this?

Every game will die one day, but last year DBD actually rose significantly in player count and when the Dedicated Servers arrive many more will come, I'm sure of it

If there was more stuff to do; it would be more enjoyable; but once you max everything out with levels and ranks; theirs not much going for it

Whenever somebody gets frustrated or bored, they come to the forum and say that the game is dying. It is always in the same way. They think that just because they got bored, other people get bored too.

I started to play this game about a year ago.

People are saying that the game is dying all the time.

I'm not frustrated with the game; its just theirs nothing else much to do once you've maxed everything out; unless they brought new game modes and objectives; its just the same old for the last 3 years

I don't think the game is dying, but I do feel it's a bit on the bland side due to tweaks needed.  Stuff like grinding for specific Perks, some add-ons feeling almost mandatory, how prestige is an outdated feature/goal.  In addition to bugs, framerate/stability concerns it makes for binge playing a bit less appealing (least in my case)  having the Events for Holidays and Double Bloodpoints always get me to play more because the overall grind is masked/dressed up a bit.

It's not dying or blowing up, but staying at a steady pace, but it's like a good meal without seasoning or not paired with a good Wine, it won't ruin the food but we would most readily want it.  In part, I feel the game could do with changes/tweaks/adjustments and far sooner implemented.

If we had 10 cents for every time someone said this game was dying, we'd have enough money to make a whole new Dbd game and all the DLC's with it.

All games have a limited lifespan. Except Chess. That is eternal =p

I don’t think the game is dying anytime soon lmao.

There’s about 20-25 thousand players who play regularly on steam.

Along with console players which should be a couple thousand as well especially since it was free for PS4. (PlayStation plus back in August)

As for Xbox I’m not particularly sure.

This game has been out since 2016 so it’s only 3 years old at the moment yet it’s still pretty active.

All games are 'slowly dying' except the ones that 'die quickly'. Regardless of how badass a game is, theres an 'expiration date' and a new contender just around the corner.

This game has been "dying" since release, according to threads like this. Don't project your lack of interest onto everyone else.

I would be very interested in knowing the average number of players on consoles. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the number of console players dwarfed the number of steam players.

Well, there are two consoles (i.e.: two platforms), as well as a considerable overlap between PC players and console players (don't ask me why). Then there's the fact that the game came with some subscription system on PS4.
